Served it’s purpose for one night, bed small double not ideal for two people, no tea or coffee facilities in the room but you have the use of a communal kitchen, remember to take your own cup and tea and coffee with you. Room very clean staff friendly, free parking an added bonus. I would recommend for a single person but not for two people sharing.

I found this to be good budget accommodation. Small room, but everything you need was there. It’s getting a bit shabby - the mattress had a dip in it and the paintwork was worn. But it is well priced. My main gripe is that I chose this hotel because it said it had on site parking. There is on site parking, but it is woefully inadequate. I think this should have been explained fully during the booking process.

Perfect budget accommodation while in Sheffield for a running event. Walkable to town. No kettle in room but had access to kitchen and there was free tea/ coffee in reception each morning.

Great location, based in the student village but plenty of green space around which is immaculate, loved the communal kitchens and a village store onsite. Perfect midweek stay!

Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal.

No parking upon arrival but was expecting this as we arrived late and it is mentioned in the description that there are limited spaces. Room dated with faux leather head and side board which was peeling. The carpet around the bed area was filthy. The bathroom appeared ok but the towels seemed a bit grubby so dried with a tshirt instead. Also, water in shower took ages to drain. Bed way too small for a couple but they mention the size in description.

Excellent room, spotlessly clean throughout. All the staff on reception/cafe are enthusiastic and helpful. Lovely layout on the ground floor, lots of places to chill. TV has access to a range of streaming channels. Breakfast pastries excellent

All staff courteous and polite, room spotlessly clean, a couple of minor maintenance issues reported such as showers not draining properly but this was dealt with properly. Lovely vibe in the hotel and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Converted student accommodation. Room was clean and bedding good . Bathroom was clean but the metal grooves around the shower frame needed some cleaning. The reception area/ snack bar staff were welcoming and courteous. The complimentary drink and pastry each morning was appreciated. There are no frills but good value for the price . It was perfect for me as I just needed a place to sleep and I would certainly stay again.

I was really charmed by the Jonas Hotel, which is a block set among university halls of residence. This meant there were no through roads and there was landscaping all around. So peaceful and quite a Scandinavian view from my hotel window! I was on my own for one night, in town for a gig. The room was very tiny (with bed touching all walls) but this suited me fine. Even the head and side of the wall was cushioned to protect rolling around in a small space! Everything was extremely modern and good quality from the taps to the toilet to the plugs to the bed to the TV. I also loved the Sheffield art and phrases scattered in the lobby and throughout the hotel. The only slight fault I would say was that the walls were paper thin, so thin I could hear someone jangling their hangers next door. Sleeping with ear plugs helped.

Terrible experience. Bed was uncomfortable. Room stunk of smoke so we had to have the window open all night. Problem with that was the noise kept us awake from the student blocks. It’s now 3:30 in the morning and still wide awake. Room was 206. Staff are really friendly, sorry for the negative review.

The hotel is cheap and cheerful, and in a nice scenic area. The staff are very friendly upon arrival. However, the room had no air conditioning or fans so I did not sleep well. The hotel has some parking spaces, but you'll probably need to find to park 5-minutes away in the street

It was a reasonable stay as we were there for tramlines festval so we were not in the room a lot. It was clean and had good facilities, the only thing that made it extremely uncomfortable to stay was the heat in the room. It was absolutely unbearable. We asked for a fan and were told there were none. I'd have understood if it was a boiling hot summer evening but the Saturday night it was freezing outside, however inside the room was sweltering. I would never stay here again simply due to the temperature.

The room was like a Turkish sauna, with no air con, the heating was blowing out hot air which I couldn’t switch off and took hours just to receive a basic fan which circulated the humid horrible air of the room. Worst experience to date.

Good for the price I paid but if I paid more I wouldn't have been impressed. The rooms echo and not soundproof at all. Also I struggled to access the wifi from my room due to weak signal which caused me problems with a video call I had to make. Bed was comfortable. Shower powerful. All very clean. Staff were friendly. Would stay again but only if same price.

It's in the student halls "village". There can be noise from reveller students overnight , guess you just hope for the best. I have noticed it can get pretty hot - the duvets whilst not thick do seem very warm. The bed was a wide single which I have to say was very comfy! I took my own pillows as can be a bit funny with pillows. Staff friendly. These buildings do tend to suffer from slamming door syndrome which I noticed a couple of times, but not too bad (please keep an eye on the maintenance of the closure mechanisms!!) Car park was full Saturday night but found a spot down the road. All up a quite reasonable budget choice if that area is on your possible list. Thank you.

Staff were amazing, my partner couldnt walk much, and staff were brilliant and booked us a taxi for the hospital appointment, and even gave us a small jug of milk so we could make ourselves a tea with our own travel kettle... room was clean, bathroom was amazing for disabled partner and his wheelchair, easy access doors and lift for wheelchairs, shall deffo use jonas hotel again, especially if u need have appointment for the hospital,

The staff were very friendly and helpful and i felt at home right away. My room was spotless and the shower was fantastic! Also the breakfast pastry and tea in the morning were delicious! If I am ever in Sheffield I will definitely stay at The Jonas Hotel again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This is obviously quite a 'bare bones' hotel but given how expensive some hotels can be in Sheffield, it was brilliant value. We parked easily, were able to check in early and it's a convenient location for getting in and out of the city easily. Coffee & a croissant for breakfast was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a 2 day business stay. Great staff at the reception desk. Did not expect complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Decent coffee and the pastry selection was good. Fore doors are loud when they close, so ear plugs advised. 10 mins walk to bus stops on Eccleshall Road.

My wife and I were visiting the University to visit our daughter and the Jonas is right there on the same campus as she is - so ideally located. The beds are quite small so maybe book two rooms if you're travelling as a couple, but the hotel is great, brilliant value and ideally located for Endcliffe and the uni.

Bit tricky to find initially, but happy to have onsite parking, friendly welcoming staff, and a basic but clean room with a comfortable bed. The location is good for visiting the University and walkable to the campus.

Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal.

It was as expected for the price, can't really complain. Room was basic but clean. The only thing that I would mention is that the "included breakfast" was limited to one pastry and one cup of tea / coffee per guest, no cooked or other options.

For Sheffield and the price, super. Useful kitchen and pastry bfast. Free parking. Quietness depends on other guests as it can be a noisy building. 24hr reception.

Wouldnt recommend bathroom was dirty , 1 towel for 2 people which was like a hand towel ,barely any toilet roll ,iron we borrowed just leaked water ,staff where very quiet didnt feel warm welcome at all ,parking is very limited ,coffee was cold at breakfast , and the rooms are very hot .

Perfect for a 2 day business stay. Great staff at the reception desk. Did not expect complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Decent coffee and the pastry selection was good. Fore doors are loud when they close, so ear plugs advised. 10 mins walk to bus stops on Eccleshall Road.

Great for the price. Functional room. Good size shower room. Bed was a small double. V close for visiting my student daughter. Coffee and croissant included in the morning.

Perfect budget accommodation while in Sheffield for a running event. Walkable to town. No kettle in room but had access to kitchen and there was free tea/ coffee in reception each morning.

Decent overall. Easy checkin, nice coffee/pastry included for breakfast which we didn't expect. Pool/ping pong available downstairs near the lobby which is good. Room was very 'first year student' vibe but did the job for a conference we were attending. Good 40m walk to the town centre. Room was clean overall except the shower head which wasn't great. Overall for the price - recommend!

Des efforts, notamment d'accueil par le personnel très accommodant, mais l'hébergement reste "de secours". En effet, 1 lit en 130 pour deux personnes dans une chambre assez spartiate ne justifie pas un tarif de près de 100 Livres.

Jonas is cheap and cheerful. Stylish lounge area. Convenient for the university. Free parking. A communal kitchen is available. Free drink and croissant for breakfast. On the downside the beds are only three quarter width and jammed against the wall so better for one person than two. The small rooms are stuffy in hot weather. Still a bargain though.

Although small, the room was very clean and comfortable and adequate for a short stay. I would not recommend it for 2 people. It was very hot though and needs better ventilation or some air conditioning. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was limited but we did manage to get a space. It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facility in the room as the communal kitchen was very dirty with unwashed pots and lots of unpleasant food in the fridge. That said, there was a lady cleaning it the second day we were there. This was very suitable for a short stop-over and I would use it again.
