Our main problem was the lack of parking, which was an important criteria for us when we booked. The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders we we pointed out that we booked a hotel with parking. The hotel’s car park only has 39 spaces and was full for our two day stay. We were put on a waiting list but never achieved a parking space. The nearby on street parking has a four hour maximum stay between 09.00-22.00 and the machine only takes coins. We were forced to get change and then keep returning to our vehicle every four hours which became restrictive of what we could do in a four hour window.

We like this hotel. We visited this little touristy area during an off-season. The hotel is located near the beach and lots of eating and dining establishments. The hotel itself has very comfortable larger rooms and it included breakfast. Parking in an area just in front of the hotel is usually a paid area. However, while we were there, the parking meters were broken and all parking was free. since there were very few tourists in the area, we found no problem finding a place to park. This would probably be, a great spot for a family vacation. We found the hotel had a drying rack out each room on a balcony that was a real plus for a wet beach wear.

I liked the location by the beach and the close proximity of the hotel to Monte Gordo Station and Faro Airport. The restaurants and massage parlours along the beach were also top noch. Now to the bad, the hotel which in my view should definitely not be classed as a 4* hotel for the following reasons: 1. Premium rooms to offer the choice of an upgrade 2. No kettle or Tea or Coffee making facilities 3. Limited to only 4x hot food options for breakfast (Egg, Sausage which didn't taste great, Baked Beans and Mushrooms) The cold continental options were cold the majority of the time 4. Only breakfast meals no lunch or dinner is served here in the hotel 5. No masseuse due to the lady being sick which is understandable but there should ALWAYS be back up staff 6. The prices for the steam from and sauna was ridiculous even when I mentioned it to the locals who live around there €8 for 15 minutes is ridiculous. Also the facilities hadn't even been turned out and meaning as a customer I would need to wait a few minutes for it to heat up before using it 7. Train transport wasn't very good and the prices in general for excursions were misleading because they didn't include pick up from the hotel. The majority were based in Albufeira or Olhão which were far on public transport (train and bus). The taxi option was quicker but extremely expensive. This is the first time I have travelled to a European country and had to figure out how to reach the starting points of an excursion.

The hotel was in general good. The staff was very diligent. At breakfast, each table was cleaned up immediately after the guest left. The hotel room was located directly on a busy thoroughfare. Across the street were public trash containers that were emptied at 1 am. It was hardly possible to leave the windows open. The parking garage of the hotel was full and therefore we had to park our rental car on the street. It was possible to find parking spaces, but in these areas you had to pay a parking meter where you could only put in 4 hours at a time.

Excelente hotel, bem localizado, preços razoáveis, ótimas piscinas, perto da praia. Único senão é não dispor de bar ou restaurante em funcionamento na propriedade. E não dispor de estacionamento próprio, sendo necessário estacionar defronte na rua com tarifa de parking de 3,40 euros a cada 4 horas, e que devem ser renovadas pelo menos 3 vezes durante o dia!

Vi hadde en fantastisk tur, men hotellet var ikke en av grunnene. Personalet er kortfattet, i grenseland ufordragelig. Rengjøringen er svært dårlig. Det finnes ingen vannkoker, eller kaffemaskin på rommet. Senger og puter var harde som sten. Ellers så hotellet relativt fint ut. Meget sentralt i en typisk turist by. Positivt med hotellet, var at man kunne leie garasjeplass dersom man hadde med bil.

The hotel is perfectly placed in town with just a 5 minute walk to the beach, hotel was basic but absolutely spotless clean, the breakfast was limited with not a great choice but not terribly either, i would be happy staying here again and recommend to anyone not expensive,

Hotel room was a good size with an extra large balcony. There is an option to have your room serviced every day, we found the hotel to be very clean. The beach is a couple of minutes away as is restaurants, cafes and bars. The pool area is fine and there was always sunbeds available. There was also a good choice for breakfast.

Property is outdated and a dire need of an update reminded my of Miami's South beach back in the 80's it smelled like old but the place was clean, the breakfast was decent and the staff was very helpful

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura con mio marito e i miei due figli. La struttura é un po' datata e non un quattro stelle ma ci hanno dato un appartamentino spazioso e molto luminoso con cucinotto per poter preparare i nostri pasti, molto comodo per non dover andare ogni giorno al ristorante per pranzo e cena. L'hotel è vicinissimo a tutti i principali servizi, supermercato, ristoranti, spiaggia ma ha un grosso problema di parcheggio perché in hotel non vi era disponibilità e antistante l'hotel vi sono parcheggi a pagamento ogni 4 ore e i vigili facevano parecchie multe. Girando vi è comunque la possibilità di trovare qualche raro parcheggio non a pagamento ma bisogna essere fortunati. La spiaggia é facilmente raggiungibile a piedi ed è molto bella. Il personale è gentilissimo e molto disponibile, la colazione non eccellente ma varia e buona. Nel complesso è stata una bellissima vacanza e se dovessi ritornare in futuro a Monte Gordo tornerei in questo hotel. Sono appena tornata e ci tornerei subito. Consigliatissimo

The property itself was fine for the price. Excellent location, proximity to beach, restaurants, bars etc. walkable. Felt safe. The hotel room doors need something on them to stop them slamming. It seems no one on our floor noticed this and the slamming, inadvertently, im sure, contined til well past 1am. 😵💫

This hotel isn’t 4 star, very dated, extra cost to use sauna, no beach towels available. Very noisy, woken up at 4/5am from next door and upstairs everyday. Clean and fine for a base.

The hotel’s car park only has 39 spaces and was full for our two day stay. We were put on a waiting list but never achieved a parking space. The nearby on street parking has a four hour maximum stay between 09.00-22.00 and the machine only takes coins. We were forced to get change and then keep returning to our vehicle every four hours which became restrictive of what we could do in a four hour window.

We've been going to this hotel for a number of years and it's always nice to see the same welcoming people at reception. The hotel is always kept in great condition and the included breakfast has gotten better. Great location, quiet with Spar right across the street.

Vi hadde en fantastisk tur, men hotellet var ikke en av grunnene. Personalet er kortfattet, i grenseland ufordragelig. Rengjøringen er svært dårlig. The hotel was in general good. The staff was very diligent. At breakfast, each table was cleaned up immediately after the guest left. The hotel room was located directly on a busy thoroughfare. Across the street were public trash containers that were emptied at 1 am. It was hardly possible to leave the windows open. The parking garage of the hotel was full and therefore we had to park our rental car on the street. It was possible to find parking spaces, but in these areas you had to pay a parking meter where you could only put in 4 hours at a time.

We like this hotel. We visited this little touristy area during an off-season. The hotel is located near the beach and lots of eating and dining establishments. The hotel itself has very comfortable larger rooms and it included breakfast. Parking in an area just in front of the hotel is usually a paid area. However, while we were there, the parking meters were broken and all parking was free. since there were very few tourists in the area, we found no problem finding a place to park. This would probably be, a great spot for a family vacation. We found the hotel had a drying rack out each room on a balcony that was a real plus for a wet beach wear.

The hotel is perfectly placed in town with just a 5 minute walk to the beach, hotel was basic but absolutely spotless clean, the breakfast was limited with not a great choice but not terribly either, i would be happy staying here again and recommend to anyone not expensive,

Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural harbour so the fishing boats are launched by tractor pushing them into the sea. Many eateries, cafes etc in the town. The bed we had was very comfy and the shower was so lovely , with power and heat. Also had a fridge in the room. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Cheers 😁😁

I liked the location by the beach and the close proximity of the hotel to Monte Gordo Station and Faro Airport. The restaurants and massage parlours along the beach were also top noch. Now to the bad, the hotel which in my view should definitely not be classed as a 4* hotel for the following reasons: 1. Premium rooms to offer the choice of an upgrade 2. No kettle or Tea or Coffee making facilities 3. Limited to only 4x hot food options for breakfast (Egg, Sausage which didn't taste great, Baked Beans and Mushrooms) The cold continental options were cold the majority of the time 4. Only breakfast meals no lunch or dinner is served here in the hotel 5. No masseuse due to the lady being sick which is understandable but there should ALWAYS be back up staff 6. The prices for the steam from and sauna was ridiculous even when I mentioned it to the locals who live around there €8 for 15 minutes is ridiculous. Also the facilities hadn't even been turned out and meaning as a customer I would need to wait a few minutes for it to heat up before using it 7. Train transport wasn't very good and the prices in general for excursions were misleading because they didn't include pick up from the hotel. The majority were based in Albufeira or Olhão which were far on public transport (train and bus). The taxi option was quicker but extremely expensive. This is the first time I have travelled to a European country and had to figure out how to reach the starting points of an excursion.

Hotel room was a good size with an extra large balcony. There is an option to have your room serviced every day, we found the hotel to be very clean. The beach is a couple of minutes away as is restaurants, cafes and bars. The pool area is fine and there was always sunbeds available. There was also a good choice for breakfast.
