Amazing property! We only booked one night here and really regretted that we didn't have another day to spend here. The view of the turquoise water is absolutely stunning. The apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable. Parking was assigned, so no issues with that. You do have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs, but that's not unusual in NZ. Also, if you are grocery shopping, there's one supermarket and prices are pretty high in such a small town. Still, we would return and book this property again without hesitation.

Across the street from ocean. Close to center of town and other activities. Great view. Comfy bed. Don’t like the washer/dryer combo unit. Needs a new shower head, but has great water pressure. Oh, and the parking is tight for a bigger vehicle. Well stocked kitchen, even has an oven and good size fridge. Needs a lamp in living room and light bulbs replaced in kitchen. Would stay here again. Thank you!

This was a beautiful, clean and quiet apartment to stay directly across the beach. The resturants up the street was very good and many to choose from. The parking was convenient.

lovely clean and bright property. Steep steps to get to upper floor. Terrific to have a washing machine and clothes rack to dry clothes, and a dryer in some units. Car parks a little tight if you are in a bigger vehicle but manageable. Only enough seats for three people and the lounge chair was pretty uncomfortable, so used the cushions off the bed but not sure how I feel about sitting on them and then them going back onto the bed by the pillows. For the price a little surprised to only have one hand towel and to be told if we needed fresh towels they would cost money. Not enough space in bathroom to hang 4 towels, so a little bit of a catch 22 - can't hang towels out easily and no fresh ones. Blinds in bedroom were broken so didn't block out the light very well at all. Would recommend installing some block out curtains and finding more comfortable lounge furniture - at least enough for 4 people to sit in being the two bedroom unit is for 4 people. But over all, very nicely appointed apartment with a great dining table inside and outside on balcony. To get the views, ask for the upper units upstairs or the front units. Very clean with was great.

Completely contactless, no human interaction at the property at all ! Lovely warm, comfortable accommodation. Bit hard to see unit numbers and parking space numbers after dark, and the stairs to the upper level quite steep so if you want the view but have any mobility issues be prepared. (pack light or bring someone with you who can carry your bag up !) Overall, it is a lovely place to stay with everything you need.

Was emailed instructions that no need to check in, key would be in room. Odd. Gravel parking lot/tight parking spots. Upstairs apartment (very step steps) nice view from the deck! Large 2-bedroom apt. Roomy place, equipped with full sized oven, fridge etc.! Washer/dryer combo difficult to use and took way too long. Clothes came out very wrinkled. Quiet.

Sorry to say we were disappointed as this ranks the lowest rating we have put on a motel ever. We travel extensively. The blinds, the fittings were all very tired. Surprised by what the front units looked like our the front. Unit looks like it was fitted out with product out of the deconstructioned houses out of Christchurch earthquake

Good sized apartment with comfy beds. Straight across the road from the beach. Needed to be on the balcony to see the ocean being tucked in the corner at furtherest end of motels but weather was nice so we did get to use this. Well equipped kitchen. Beware of ants - bench covered in the time it took for us to eat our dinner. Luckily we brought all our food in a chilly bin so used that to keep our food in. Staff were quick to bring any spray when asked. The bath had pubic hairs in it when we arrived so obviously had not been cleaned between visitors. Owner apologised the following day as they had been on a day off which was appreciated.

Like: nice unit with generous supply of cooking and dinning kit. Dislike: no extraction in shower room, and wallpaper (?) peeling above shower. No curtains in bedrooms - blinds don't cut it either in evening or morning!

Very welcoming and helpful staff. A fantastic position opposite the beach and easy walk to the town. Good sized bedroom, kitchen and lounge. Bathroom very small. Difficult to sit on toilet as basin too close. No shelf for wash bags. Shower floor slippery.

We were a little disappointed with our stay here. We booked the “economy room” which was the lowest category, but didn’t realise this meant that our room would be right next to reception and look out immediately onto a wall on one side and someone else’s house on the other. It also meant we had two apartments above us and the staircase to these next to our bedroom. We had a family with young children sharing the two apartments above and they were screaming and running back and forth until 1am and I had to ask them to stop. They started again at 7am. The accommodation itself is very basic and a bit tired and outdated. The pillow case on the bed was marked and there were cracks in the tiles in the bathroom. There were also very few surfaces to put our items and nowhere to hang any clothes. The TV was very small and the internet was unacceptably bad - to the point that our devices wouldn’t even connect. The location was a good 15 minute walk from the town and restaurants and not as centrally located as we had hoped. The only positives were the staff who seemed friendly and nice.

Think carefully before choosing the economy room rate at these apartments. We did and found a view of the gas cylinders and the neighbours washing, no way of heating anything in the room except electric jug and toaster, no dishwasher, no table and chairs except outside on the south side, a very small bathroom where sitting on the toilet straight was a bit of a challenge. All of these things are fine if you know that’s what you are going to get, but the website looks so enticing and really there is not that much difference in price.

Initial problems booking in due to very wet carpet, but manager responded exceptionally well providing an alternative apartment, which was effectively a free upgrade, so well done on their part, we had a great stay and strongly recommend this place, would definitely stay again
