Scotland's Spa Hotel

Lack of parking was an issue. We had to wait until somebody pulled out before we could park. Cars were parking on grassed areas and double yellow lines as carpark it clearly too small.

Not enough parking spaces - had to park out of a nominated space. Four parking spaces are taken up for unnecessary gardens! No food served on Monday nights - had to go into the village to eat. Staff were pleasant enough but we won't stay here again.

The room was clean but the bathroom had broken tiles and the toilet seat was wobbly and didn’t flush well. The pool/spa area was dirty and not well maintained.

Needs refurbishment too shabby toilets flies cover the ceiling . The last twice weve been here no steam room working

The property has so much potential. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. The pool changing rooms are filthy and do not look like look they are maintained. There was green slime on the surrounding overflow pool drain. The hotel in general needs a lot of maintenance and love. Hotel should have lifecycle management and enough trained staff to maintain. The biggest issue other than dirty pool area was lack of staff and management to make the hotel presentable for the guests to enjoy

Nice hotel. With a pool. Hours of pool operation were incorrect on their website closed earlier than expected.

The hotel was adequate but does require some upgrading as looks a little tired. Beds were comfortable and rooms fairly quiet. I had intended to use the spa facilities however the pool and jacuzzi were directly visible from the bar with only a glass wall separating them so decided against it. The reception and bar seemed to be combined and it seemed a lot of the public areas were not being utilised so may be they are working on revamping the place Plenty choice available ar breakfast all self service but did feel a bit busy and cramped Overall it met our needs and was quiet and comfortable in a good location just off the main street

Decent 3 star hotel in the middle of Pitlochry. Pool was very busy and bar prices ridiculous. Breakfast was ok. Large clean room.

Breakfast was more accessible Spa and pool area was good and better wi fi than before. Lot better since been refurbished. Windows in room could have been cleaned but otherwise highly recommend for short stay about a week at most.

Relaxing stay at the hotel, great base for exploring surrounding areas. We were a family of 4 (kids 9 and 11) and stayed in a family room which was a good size, clean and comfortable. The pool and spa are lovely and clean and breakfast was good too with continental and cooked options available. No dinner service whilst we were there but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Staff great. Pool, reception all lovely. Really enjoyed breakfast. Room had clean bedding and towels but only complaint would be the extremely grubby carpet. Hotel central and I would stay again

On arrival staff were lovely at reception and room was ready prior to check in which was fab. However, when we went into the room we were treated with the previous guests rubbish, which included medication packets and estimated around 10 months of dust on the fan which came flying towards me once I turned it on because the room had only two tiny windows to let air in. The bed frame had a layer of dust which would have been there as long as the frame. We addressed this with reception who were horrified and stated that they would speak to house keeping to rectify this. All they done was empty the bin and clean the fan. Everywhere was still dusty and there was what looked like a blood mark on the bathroom door. Went to the “spa” facilities. The jacuzzi would only stay on for a short period of time and you would have to wait around 15 minutes before it would turn back on. Sauna was out of service and the pool for some unknown reason had what seemed like random patches of sand Mattress protector had what appeared to be potential period stains to top of our disaster stay. Didn’t attempt breakfast because after that standard we wouldn’t eat there. Only thing positive is that the reception staff were lovely apart from that not worth the room rate being charged. Would have been cleaner in a hostel

Our room was clean,the bed was ok but the toilet could do with a deep clean, ie the mould round the bath and the extractor cleand.

The room was tired and in need of a refurb. The bathroom was very nice and seem to have been renewed recently but the towel rail wasn't working, a real disadvantage in November, and the small shower head slid down the holder and wouldn't grip, having to use it hand held. The room carpet has mutiple stains, some of which look to have been there for some time. The bedside tables both had deep scapes on them. The standard single beds felt quite small compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently. There were no towels when we arrived in the room at 3.45 so I went and tracked down a cleaner I'd spotted enroute . He said he put them in later but I asked for a towel then so we could dry out hands! No hairdryer could be found either and the highland liquid soap was love3l but reluctant to leave the bottle. I spoke to someone in reception who said she speak to housekeeping and a full set of towels was sent up and a hairdryer althought I later found one at the back of the cupboard shelf way above my head when I went to put the new one there. On checking out i spoke to same staff member who reiterated that refurbishment wasn't up to them and went into great detail of how the carpet would be cleaned in November . At no point did I hear an apology that I was disappointed in the room, I had shown her fhe photos I took, which she agreed clearly showed the issues mentioned. I paid £189 for this twin room,definately not worth the money. I won't be back.

Location was great. Easy to get onto Pitlochry high street. Poor rating as the cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory. There was black mould and soap scum over the bath and mouldy crisps under the bed.

We arrived to be told that they did not do dinner although the email I received had the dinner times! Not a great start with a toddler in tow! Then when we went to our room it was freezing again not suitable with a toddler. I found an oil filled heater in wardrobe and plugged this in (keeping my toddler on the bed) reception explained the heating was on a timer! It never came on so again I had to go to reception thank goodness we left the oil filled heater on while going for dinner. All I got was a sorry, really not enough. Our room was dated and in need of repair, taps falling to bits, stains on carpets etc. had we not been going to the enchanted forest and hotels booked we would not have stayed.The spa treatment was amazing and this I would highly recommend but would not stay here again!

Spa was lovely, the bathroom shower was dirty couldn't shower until next morning after it was cleaned. Was supposed to be cleaned on the night we arrived

All the staff were very friendly and courteous, all areas of the hotel were clean.

The hotel is great value for money and staff are excellent. Nice pool which was particularly good for my kids. Food good at breakfast but we didn't have the evening meal. Our room was a bit noisy (128) as we had the sound of the air con/heating going constantly from outside but it didn't bother us too much. Whole place was beautifully kept and staff were very attentve. new snug area in the bar/reception is particularly nice.

Room was in need of a revamp as looked old and tired. Was overpriced for the standard of room.

Had a great 2 days here with family, rooms were close by. We got a complimentary upgrade to a king room which was much appreciated as had an infant with us. Communication regarding the cot was a bit off, told us they didn’t provide the mattress part but when we arrived they had, so we had taken extra stuff with us that we didn’t need. Breakfast was plentiful but bacon and eggs not the warmest. Water pressure in room wasn’t the best either and didn’t feel hot but that was probably as showering in the morning along with rest of hotel guests. Pool was great and enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. Close by all the shops and we could walk everywhere we wanted to. Def be back to stay.

Hotel is well located within walking distance of everything in town. The hotel is dated and our shower was poor with a broken shower screen and very poor water pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant having the lamb casserole, which was very good. An alright hotel but does need an uplift and better maintenance.

We arrived at the Hotel and check in was quick. We got our supposed double room. The room was tiny, the bed looked like a large single, we wondered if in fact it was supposed to be a single room, there was only towels for one, two pillows, one cup etc.We were given more pillows and slept the first night in our very small room. We didn't sleep all night, the bed was so small and my husband's face was nearly touching the wall. I went to reception first thing. I explained the room, the lady was very nice and accommodating, she did say it was supposed to be a double room. We were given some keys and asked to view another room. This was a deluxe room! It was night and day.So our second night was a great sleep. The breakfast both mornings was lovely. Csnt fault the staff, the cleanliness, the food.All good. We used to stay in this hotel often some years ago and it was a beautiful place. Its really sad to see how rundown the place has got now. The decor is quite shabby, the carpets quite stained, the entrance used to be at the front of the hotel which has a lovely door, this has changed to the side door, so the presentation isn't so nice. Just not the beautiful hotel it used to be.So sad to see. So please whoever oens the place now, spend some money on new decor and some restoration. Not the atmosphere it had.Dinner dances were superb, the pkace was lively and welcoming. Not sure I would return when visiting Pitlochry again.

We asked for a room with a walk in shower but allocated a room with a bath. The room was tired and the furniture was chipped and dated. The toilet seat was loose. We closed the blind for privacy but it could not be reopened. We were not able to get an evening meal unless we attended a sister hotel. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was also good.

The hotel was in the main OK but some things need attention for example: 1. Old style single glazed windows with a main line train service within a short distance on one side together with the hotel car park, not good. 2. The pool temp was far too high and needs to be addressed. 3. No blinds on the windows with rooms overlooking flats required that curtains needed to be drawn most of the time. 4. Very limited TV service having much fewer freeview channels.

Rooms were roomy, bathroom was a nice size and came with high quality toiletries. Great coffee choices and free cookies, great all you can eat breakfast choices. Carpets in the hallway were a bit dated.

The room that we had on the third floor the windows had been painted shut and couldn't be opened. Could do with a wee paint in places, staff and house keeping were all exceptional, asked how we were anything we needed just to ask. Front of house staff in dining hall were all lovely and friendly

But rough round the edges ..needs a bit of tlc. On the whole my stay was comfortable and pleasurable. Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was well presented. Room was OK and clean but a bit worn.

Hotel is in a great location with lovely views and is a walkable distance to the theatre. It's a bit tired in places but undergoing renovation and wiĺl be beautiful once finished. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Staff all really friendly and helpful, allowing us to drop off bags prior to check-in. Overall a great stay.

Everything was good apart from no staff at bar and reception i waited for 10 minutes because member of staff was on the phone and after me there were 8 people waited for drinks. Need more staff it was really bad.

Hotel was understaffed and overworked, so check-in took extra couple of hours, but staff offered me a complimentary drink while I was waiting. Room was clean and comfortable once I got into it.

Extractor fan in bathroom needs cleaning. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

1. All the staff we met in reception, the dining room or generlly around the hotel were very helpful, and generally pleasant. 2. The hotel is located in the centre of town, yet, away from the crowded Atholl Road.

Breakfast was cold first day day 2a bit warmer. Bed not tidied and bins not emptied day1 ? Bit disappointed with this

This comment is coming from a person who has more than 50 days in a hotel each year traveling with work, We was very tired, after a long journey we arrived at 14:00 we kindly asked if we could check inn , the 2 old receptionists was not in the mood of welcoming us, we fell asleep in our car, if they wanted to do better, they could have invited us inside, give us a cup of coffee, ask the cleaning, to prioritize our room, I saw this happen in France it had much stronger effect on the all over feedback, I know they can not do this for all customers, but then again how often is guests coming to early, we often arrive much later, the room was working .the pool was nice, clean and warm👍 Breakfast instead of a full buffet and free seating, the staff where extremely busy seating all guests, and spending time on asking everyone what they wanted to order special for each person, running around trying to serve a fast as possible I’m impressed by the staff in the breakfast area , but I think they could do better and more smoothly with egg and bacon + Nutella added to the buffet and free seating setup a rack for the used service, like they do on many other hotels , check out was smooth

Location is great, bfast and staff serving all really lovely, however main receptionist not very welcoming at all, get impression been in job while and lost all enthusiasm sad as it’s a poor first impression.

We stayed here recently with our 10 month old baby. I booked it online prior to attending the hotel and it had said that cots were available on request so when we arrived to check in i told the receptionist we would require one. There must have been a break down in communications as we went for a walk and an hour and half later when we returned there was no cot in our room. I went back to the receptionist to ask where the cot was only to be told i had not requested it and she argued with me for a full minute in front of other customers in the reception area. Then she said they could provide me a cot but no mattress for it due to hygiene reasons. I was rather shocked at this as any other hotel we had stayed in on our trip had no problem providing a mattress with the cot. I asked her what she expected my baby to sleep on and i was met with a shrug of the shoulders....i said it was like providing a bed to an adult minus the mattress. She then said well most people who request a mattress do so at booking so i said ok if i had would i have got a mattress and she said no so her argument was completely irrelevant and quite frankly very unprofessional. The receptionist the following day was very pleasant and apologetic and knew how to speak to customers without being rude. However the overall decor of the hotel was very rundown and dated and our room was very cold. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Very good location not so far of restaurants, park and walking trail

I liked the closeness to the Main Street and all the amenities. It has a lovely pool and spa.

Easy access to town centre. Clean comfortable rooms. Pleasant helpful staff.

Loved the stay! The room was amazing and spacious! So close to everything on the Main Street! The city was a dream! Loved the Pipe concert in the park! Enjoyed the stay! Can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is ideally located in Pitlochry within walking distance of various pubs and restaurants. It's a great base for numerous hillwalking routes.

The hotel is a little tired, the pool is tiny and overlooked by the bar and the evening menu limited. However the room was comfortable and clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for us.

Clean comfortable hotel but no restaurant on a Sunday or Monday for evening meal which was very disappointing when that’s the two nights you are staying. Great location in heart of the town.

The hotel and staff were lovely from start to finish. Loved the pool, fantastic breakfast. The only negative was the shower and bath. The shower took ages to get warm, and the bath was not draining away the water. I did mention it to reception incase there was a blockage

Well located for walking out to amenities. Comfy room. Wasn't aware no restaurant for dinner so last minute scrabble to find somewhere. Big breakfast with lots of choice. Not impressed with mist like shower (head full of beads to reduce flow).

Hotel is a bit tired looking. Beds very uncomfortable and hardly slept. Staff were good and food in Restuarant was good

Helpful staff. Nice warm pool. Restaurant was excellent. Close to town and the local distillery

Had an amazing stay with family. 4 rooms booked and each one was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful
