The bedroom excellent , lounge beautiful lovely views over Pitlochry, real fire, drinks service. Evening meal beautiful presentation and fabulous tastes, great range of individually cooked choices for breakfast. No lift, the balcony rooms for the mountain goats but well worth it if you are fit. There are ground floor rooms but need to be specified . The staff are very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this charming hotel July 15-18 and were so pleased that we picked this property in Pitlochry. Perched on a hill, the hotel is a lovely 19th century stone building and the interior is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a premium room and were amazed by the size and beautiful views over Pitlochry. Our first night we decided ahead of time to dine at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. From the canapés and drink in the lounge to the last bite of dessert it was delicious. The included breakfast is top notch; I had a full Scottish breakfast one day and all the ingredients are clearly high quality, expertly prepared. On our last day we had to leave early for the airport and were hoping that we’d be able to perhaps get a breakfast roll or something for the car ride. Mind you, breakfast starts at 8:00 and we were leaving by 7:00. Not only did we get breakfast sandwiches, they thoughtfully added some other goodies like shortbread, bottled water and crisps and even came in early (before 7:00!) and made us coffees to take away! The Knockendarroch Hotel is at the top of our list for quality, service, comfort and value. What a gem in Perthshire.

Wonderful hotel in scenic Pitlochry. Our room was delightful and the bed was soooo comfortable. The breakfast room was beautiful. The sitting room off of the lobby was so warm and cozy with the fireplace burning. Great location. Breakfasts are all cooked to ordered. Excellent food but slow. We loved Pitlochary and hope to come back.

Incredible dining experience! Dinner was amazing. Breakfast delicious also. Wonderful staff/service. Room was very clean and had all necessary amenities in a somewhat tight room with a queen bed. Lovely how they have guests together in the living room prior to dinner service. One concern was we arrived 20 minutes early to check in and we’re promptly told our room wasn’t ready and maybe we could take a walk into town. That was fine with us but it was done, sadly, in an unwelcoming manner

The room was very clean and warm. Toiletries, bath robes and slippers provided (although slippers a little on the large size for me, just being a size 2) !! Staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast very nice and served to order lovely and hot. Dinner was also delicious. Coffee/tea was served in lounge following dinner in front of a lovely roaring log fire. Overall highly recommend this excellent hotel and will definitely return in the future.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff were super friendly and you felt they genuinely wanted to make your stay special. The location was super with fantastic views from the balcony. Booked 1 evening meal in the restaurant but wished we’d booked 2. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall Staff was great (most of them, one seemed to be annoyed to have to serve us) - the meal was good, room was okay but way too much for what it was. Town was amazing, people there amazing, all to say it was great but the stay felt a bit uppity and proper British, while it’s a nice Scottish place that generally means friendly people - some of the patrons there ruined that for us (some old British man making us feel a bit out of place) - the hotel can’t help the patrons they serve, but it was fairly expensive for what you got compared to other places we stayed in Edinburgh and other areas around Scotland.

Perched on a hill, the hotel is a lovely 19th century stone building and the interior is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a premium room and were amazed by the size and beautiful views over Pitlochry. Our first night we decided ahead of time to dine at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. From the canapés and drink in the lounge to the last bite of dessert it was delicious. The included breakfast is top notch; I had a full Scottish breakfast one day and all the ingredients are clearly high quality, expertly prepared. On our last day we had to leave early for the airport and were hoping that we’d be able to perhaps get a breakfast roll or something for the car ride. Mind you, breakfast starts at 8:00 and we were leaving by 7:00. Not only did we get breakfast sandwiches, they thoughtfully added some other goodies like shortbread, bottled water and crisps and even came in early (before 7:00!) and made us coffees to take away! The Knockendarroch Hotel is at the top of our list for quality, service, comfort and value. What a gem in Perthshire.

Incredible dining experience! Dinner was amazing. Breakfast delicious also. Wonderful staff/service. Room was very clean and had all necessary amenities in a somewhat tight room with a queen bed. Lovely how they have guests together in the living room prior to dinner service. One concern was we arrived 20 minutes early to check in and we’re promptly told our room wasn’t ready and maybe we could take a walk into town. That was fine with us but it was done, sadly, in an unwelcoming manner

The room was very clean and warm. Toiletries, bath robes and slippers provided (although slippers a little on the large size for me, just being a size 2) !! Staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast very nice and served to order lovely and hot. Dinner was also delicious. Coffee/tea was served in lounge following dinner in front of a lovely roaring log fire. Overall highly recommend this excellent hotel and will definitely return in the future.

Wonderful hotel in scenic Pitlochry. Our room was delightful and the bed was soooo comfortable. The breakfast room was beautiful. The sitting room off of the lobby was so warm and cozy with the fireplace burning. Great location. Breakfasts are all cooked to ordered. Excellent food but slow. We loved Pitlochary and hope to come back.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff were super friendly and you felt they genuinely wanted to make your stay special. The location was super with fantastic views from the balcony. Booked 1 evening meal in the restaurant but wished we’d booked 2. Would definitely stay there again.

This place is simply elegant. Full of old world Scottish charm. A restored old home overlooking the highlands. With a short walk to town. Our view from the balcony room was stunning. The hospitality is five star. The house is very well staffed for your needs. You absolutely must have dinner in their restaurant . The chef has been cooking in the establishment for ten year. And I swear I could taste the love for his craft in every bite. The whole experience was divine. Sitting by a cozy fireplace in their elegant double dens having a cocktail before being escorted to the dinning room. Great jobs. Thank you Flo and Lindsey

Dias de glória que ficaram no passado Infelizmente, a nossa experiência no Knockendarroch Hotel deixou muitíssimo a desejar. O hotel lembra bastante a famosa música do Bruce Springsteen, "Glory Days": claramente já viveu seus dias de glória, mas hoje apenas vive dessas lembranças do passado, pois a realidade atual é bem fraca. Encontramos uma infraestrutura com problemas básicos e inaceitáveis para o nível que se propõe. A água quente falhou durante a estadia, a internet era extremamente intermitente e a TV do quarto simplesmente não funcionava. Para completar, o ambiente geral do hotel passa uma sensação de clima pesado e pouco acolhedor. Outro ponto extremamente crítico é a acessibilidade e logística: ter que carregar malas por dois andares de escada não é apenas uma experiência desagradável, mas também um risco real de segurança, já que os degraus são pequenos e estreitos. O único ponto que realmente se salvou em toda a estadia foi a alimentação, que era muito boa. Contudo, excelente comida não compensa a falta de conforto e a estrutura precária. Pelo valor e pela reputação antiga, esperávamos muito mais. Não recomendamos.

Just back today from an overnight stay. We were there to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Great experience from check in until we left today. We had a room on top floor with balcony. The view was spectacular over Pitlochry and surrounding countryside. Great to chill with a glass of wine at night. Booked the dinner package. Food was delicious paired with a great choice of wine. Finished off the night in the lounge with a nice malt whisky. They have a fantastic choice. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all a really nice dining experience. We will be back
