Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Canton by IHG

Shower needs caulking. Tub is difficult to stand in. (Rounded bottom). Heating unit extremely noisy. Bearing going out on fan. Smoke detector laying on the floor. Other than that, Nice room.

It was just okay, the rooms were clean and every other place was clean. The elevator smelled really bad, it was stincking and the carpet in the floor of elevator was dirty.

Awesome service. Hotel had some flood issues before we got there so it was still drying out a bit. They were on top of the issue and made out stay comfortable.

Shower head wasn’t very good. Couldn’t get tv to work

Hallways smelled bad and floors were dirty. HVAC in room was so loud I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. The TV stopped working on my second night there.

Negatives: Bathroom should have a fan, key card repeatedly did not work during our 3 day stay. Positives: Claudia at desk was very friendly as was the young (to me!) man on Thurs night..Housekeeping staff very nice and helpful. Will stay here again.

I didn’t like that the pool was closed, the washer was broken, the bath tub did not have a slip proof mat or finish and our room was right next to the laundry for housekeeping so it was very noisy and we had to switch rooms.

The room looked great at first glance. I went to hang up some shirts and there was a pile of old, dirty towels in the bottom of the closet. Then the air conditioner came on and it was loud and noisy. The noise had a whine to it like a tornado siren. When I turned on the TV, it had to reload the channels each time you turned it on. This took 25 minutes to get the TV to work. The guy at the front desk was nice about it and apologetic but these shouldn't be a problem in the first place. I have stayed at this hotel several times and it usually didn't look so scruffy or have mechanical issues.

Have you ever heard of the expression lipstick on a pig? If you haven't, then you'll definitely learn what it means when you go to this hotel. I have no clue how this hotel has as many five star reviews as it does. Believe the few bad reviews, because they tell the true story. We picked this hotel because it had such a high rating in the area. But soon found out that these ratings are not appropriate for this establishment. It appears that someone came in and did a quick remodeling. The pictures make it look like an updated, clean, and decent place to stay. Don't let the pictures deceive you. Our mattresses were sunken in. The bathroom looked old and moldy with a worn out tub. The ceiling had remnants of water damage. Big stains on the carpet and upholstery. The accommodations in the room were put together cheaply. Whoever painted this hotel didn't care how it turned out. The common areas are just the same. Dirty. Smelly. Rundown. If you're willing to take a quick glance from afar, it seems like a decent place to stay. But don't be fooled by a pig in lipstick. Wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone for this price. Might as well stay at a crack motel for half the cost and get the same experience.

We arrived late at night to the hotel. From the outside it appeared to be okay. However, the interior was pretty terrible. Our room smelled like urine, our toilet wasn’t anchored to the ground, there was traces of mold in the shower, and we even killed a couple of roaches. It seemed like the beds were new and updated, and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. I’m just disappointed reading that all other guests commented on the cleanliness of the hotel. That is a must for me in a stay. So I thought we’d be okay.

The front desk evening check in and morning check in attendants and the breakfast staff were all extremely nice and attentive. The third floor smelled like old wet wood. The bed was not a normal hotel mattress and my pillows smelled dirty. The tile floor was sticky on my shoes and I didn’t take my shoes off except to get in bed. The air conditioning unit was on 60 but felt like 72. It didn’t keep the room cool. There weren’t any extra toiletries in the bathroom either.

Por fuera se ve bien, pero por dentro todo esta sucio, habia mucha gente en el lobby como si hubiera una fiesta, todo mundo gritando, la carpeta del elevador estaba totalmente sucia al igual que las carpetas de los pasillos, el aire acondicionado hacia demaciado ruido al prenderlo. Honestamente esta locacion me a dejado una muy mala experiencia, solo esperaba a que amaneciera para irme de ese lugar., y honestamente no quise ni tomar desayuno "GRATIS" pues el desayunador esta tambien muy lleno de personas, y dudo mucho que hubieran sido huespedes, porque observe a otras tantas, estacionandose solo para ir a tomar desayuno, no se si este Hotel regala comida a personas del exterior pues eso me parecio. DEFINITIVAMENTE NO SE QUEDEN EN ESTA LOCACION!!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. TV was only antennae-no cable. Our room could us with some updating. Bathtub was old and shower water pressure was very minimal BUT is was clean

The room was so humid that everything felt wet and very uncomfortable. My son slipped a couple of times because the humidity was so bad that the floor was wet.

This was the worst Holiday Inn Express I have webber stayed in. The staff were great and breakfast was good. The property and furnishings have not been taken care of and terraced when needed. Our need had such a terrible dip in it that you rolled to the middle. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off. The furnishings in the breakfast area were terribly worn.

Everything was clean, staff was friendly and informative, beds were comfortable, breakfast was good.

Check in and out was a breeze. There were no towels in the room upon arrival which the staff promptly corrected I would like to see the handicap room more conveniently located on the first floor or closer to the elevator. Breakfast was great.

Upon arrival staff was not welcoming and the lobby was dirty and most lights were off. We had to wait around for sometime before someone showed up to check us in at 3:45pm. The second night of our stay we needed new towels. Called down to the front desk and was notified there were no clean towels. We asked when the towels would be ready and we were unable to get an answer besides we will write your room number down and never received clean towels. Our second night stay also had loud individuals screaming loudly for over an hour back and forth at each other with staff doing nothing about it. It is sad, because we have always loved our stay at other Holiday Inn Express Hotels and will no longer be staying at one in the future.

The staff at this location was very nice. Our room lock was messed up, and the lady at the front desk helped so much.

Excellent accommodations!! Friendly staff felt at home!!

When we went to check in, the person at the front desk told us there were no towels for the room. He went to the back and came back with several wash cloths. We asked if we could get towels and he said “no, someone else needed extras earlier today so we have none left”. I asked if we could cancel the booking and go somewhere else. He said yes but never canceled. I was still charged.

My family couldn’t get in our room for almost 2 hours and the inability to have a system in place for guests in those circumstances. Instead of them offering us a new room we had to ask for one which took several hours of vacation time.

It was convenient to our destination. The staff was great. We had to change rooms but the guy at the front desk was eager to help immediately. I would stay again if in the area.

This hotel was perfect for us to stay on the way to NOLA. Very clean, safe and the breakfast was tasty.

The property itself is nice and the room comfortable. It is not in a very nice area - just a long street off the highway with a lot of hotels and fast food restaurants.

Loved that it was close to the hwy.
