Fabulous Room ( 214 ) with stunning uninterrupted views of the sea. Terrace Bar and the dinning experience excellent. Wanted the weekend to be a little bit special to celebrate my Wife’s Birthday and the RDH did just that.

Room was incredibly hot, weather about 22 degrees during our stay so not overly hot. Room was impossible to keep cool. Service in main restaurant was good but on the terrace bar was terrible. Nice view from the outside area.

We loved this hotel in Falmouth. Great service from the minute we were generously offered a welcome drink on check in, convenient free parking and a great location. Room was great and the bathroom had lovely big fluffy bath towels and nice products. Breakfast was outstanding, I have high expectations for the dinner service! Our last minute 1 night stay went far too quickly so we'll be back for a few nights next time to make the most of the hotel, spa, bar and restaurant! Really pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Thank you.

Excellent combination of great sea view ,fantastic food ,very pleasant staff ,easy walk into town ,great concierge who could not do enough to help, and easy parking . Also close to beach though end of September sea swim did not appeal ,so used the lovely indoor pool instead !.Pool was warm and much better than most hotel pools I have used . Overall, very good value and will be back .

Onsite parking was perfect, especially as it was a motorbike holiday. Felt secure and safe. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, especially the door man who was always eager to help with a smile. Food was great and the room perfect. The pool was warm and at the time of my stay, not too busy. Highly recommended and will return.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, bedroom was clean and looked after every day of our stay... Beds were very comfortable and communal areas nicely decorated. We also pool during our stay which was great fun for our son...we would definitely visit again if we will stay in the area.

Disappointed with our room very small other family members booked after and had more spacious rooms put this down to the fact we used our Tesco rewards via Hotel.com, bathroom had a sewage smell, light bulb blown only realised once light turned off had to remove as flashing on doing this lampshade/bulb very dusty, informed reception on departing. Also found a receipt under desk from previous day. Can not fault staff all very welcoming.

A fabulous, well kept, seafront hotel. This was our second time staying at this superb hotel and it was a fabulous as we remembered, with the addition of being further refreshed/updated during lockdown. In an unbeatable seafront location, with wonderfully kept gardens with tropical planting, a large lawn with loungers and large terrace with lots of seating. Our room was lovely and roomy with super comfy large bed, with lovely crisp white linen and beautiful fluffy white towels and toiletries provided. Tea and coffee making facilities plus coffee pod machine was very welcome. Then there is the staff who are a real asset to this hotel. The service provided was excellent .... professional but also friendly and welcoming, and attention to detail throughout was spot on, housekeeping do a wonderful job throughout. Fully recommend if you want to stay somewhere special with a touch of luxury.

It was an very positive experience from beginning to ending of the stay at this hotel. The staff were very professional and helpful, the inside of the hotel was very clean and immaculate. A very nice and extensive menu almost to suit every individual. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend others to this place

Beautiful hotel however was not happy with the room I was given !! They told me if I’m not happy it’ll be extra £40- per person per night ? I did not have extra to pay for this so had to stay in same room .It was very clean but the outlook wasn’t nice at all windows in them so couldn’t see out clearly was very noisy outside room with air con unit also had black marks on ceiling .

The attitude of staff when you asked a question.Seemed an air of secrecy about the reservations of tables in the di ning room.They definitely did not want to discuss the seagulls roosting outside our window and the unhygienic droppings every where.

Great breakfast and the bar food is good. The general areas are well kept and comfortable with plenty of staff to attend to any needs. Views out to sea and the terraces lovely also access to the beach is a convenient walk away. The pool is clean and not overly busy but needs some repairs. The main restaurant food doesn’t quite live up to expectations. However, the sea facing bedrooms are well appointed and spacious.

The room was small but well appointed despite having a rough view out the back. Getting into the small bathroom was a tad difficult as you had to walk in sideways due to the gap between the basin and wall being just 38cm. At breakfast on the 2nd morning I ordered porridge but was to to get the required honey from the self-service buffet - it was a large Kilner Jar and transferring it and then the Marmalade into little jars was a really messy affair and unnecessary if they had provided little jars on the table like they had for jam. I ordered the hot toast with the cooked breakfast - it never arrived. I asked for 2 sausages as I decided against including black pudding, tomato and beans - I got just the one! I'm not sure why but there was only green back bacon and no smoked bacon on offer- Why? The staff at breakfast were rather indifferent as was the receptionist all bland and unsmiling - not very welcoming that's for sure! I've always held Brend Hotel in high regard as I knew the original owner Percy Brend back in the 1980's - it seems the service and quality has slipped from his time.

Soon as you walk into reception you’re greeted by friendly smiling staff who checked us in quickly, explained all about the hotel, brilliant start to the most amazing long weekend that just got better. It’s a place you can just stay there for your vacation and not venture out, beautiful, peaceful and you will not want for anything.

A good mid range hotel with open views across the bay. Very clean with pleasant staff. The manageress in charge of breakfast on Sunday morning, 19/5/24, was the exception. For her, my arrival at 07:30 presented a challenge with which she coped with a marked lack of grace. My request for a sea view table in the totally empty restaurant also proved a ‘problem’. Such a shame when one person lets down the efforts of the team

We loved this hotel in Falmouth. Great service from the minute we were generously offered a welcome drink on check in, convenient free parking and a great location. Room was great and the bathroom had lovely big fluffy bath towels and nice products. Breakfast was outstanding, I have high expectations for the dinner service! Our last minute 1 night stay went far too quickly so we'll be back for a few nights next time to make the most of the hotel, spa, bar and restaurant! Really pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Thank you.

Restaurant service at both breakfast and dinner, painfully slow. Having been seated, we then waited ten minutes for a menu. Then another long wait for the order to be taken. Long waits between courses. Coffee/ tea served first at breakfast, but obviously cold by the time cooked food arrived 25 minutes later. I understand that some people eat from the continental buffet whilst waiting- we don’t. An observant server would have noticed this and notified the kitchen. The restaurant was never more than half-full. The food was good when it finally arrived. On the plus side, the bar service was exemplary. Order taken and food and drink arrived promptly.

Onsite parking was perfect, especially as it was a motorbike holiday. Felt secure and safe. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, especially the door man who was always eager to help with a smile. Food was great and the room perfect. The pool was warm and at the time of my stay, not too busy. Highly recommended and will return.

10 min walk away from Falmouth. Beach only 10 min walk away which has improved facilities since I last visited. Great quality service, breakfast reallly spot on.

Was a very comfortable and extremely well kept and maintained property. Dining facility was excellent and despite the food restrictions we had the kitchen served a lovely dinner and an excellent choice for breakfast. A short trip in the midst of Storm Bert. Will return during summer

Fabulous Room ( 214 ) with stunning uninterrupted views of the sea. Terrace Bar and the dinning experience excellent. Wanted the weekend to be a little bit special to celebrate my Wife’s Birthday and the RDH did just that.

The hotel looks very good, clean, comfortable beds and they also have a good size and very clean bathroom . The star of this hotel is the terrace and having breakfast/ dinner there watching the sea is just amazing! The breakfast was good but the service provided by the gentleman (Allan) who served is was outstanding! We would definitely come back!

Great breakfast and the bar food is good. The general areas are well kept and comfortable with plenty of staff to attend to any needs. Views out to sea and the terraces lovely also access to the beach is a convenient walk away. The pool is clean and not overly busy but needs some repairs. The main restaurant food doesn’t quite live up to expectations. However, the sea facing bedrooms are well appointed and spacious.

Tra gli alberghi più prestigiosi e storici della zona, vanta belle camere ed una vista sul mare spettacolare. Ottima la cena e la colazione con servizio sempre attento. La reception deve curare meglio i servizi di check-in e check out dove si perde tempo inutilmente e mancano di chiarezza. Nel complesso bella esperienza.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Royal Duchy Hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Our room (number 123) overlooked only the restaurant’s ventilation system. Starting from around 4 a.m., there was constant loud noise from the ventilation, and the room was frequently filled with strong food smells. Additionally, there were many seagulls around the hotel, making loud noise day and night, which made it difficult to rest. The service was also very poor. Staff did not appear friendly or welcoming. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and ordered steak. The meat was extremely tough—even the steak knife could barely cut it. When we mentioned this, the staff simply said “thank you for letting us know” and did nothing further. Overall, there is a significant difference between the hotel’s photos and the actual experience. We were very disappointed. You can see the view from the room in the photos.

The only fault is the price of the rooms are expensive a deluxe room over looking flat utility area rooms and a car park was very disappointing. The bathroom is dated and small. The room was a good size however. I think youre paying for the sea view location from the front of the hotel.
