Leonardo Hotel Liverpool

I stayed for comic-con. We got there on the Thursday because we were already aware they had no parking in your hat to use an outside source for that the problem was when we arrived. I was told that the price had changed from £12 a night to 18 for the car park so for four days it cost me £72 which I think is very stupid and excessive. I’m autistic and I had it in writing that I would be charged 12 so I was quite stressed out thinking I’m now being charged £18 a day. on top of the fact the hotel is the most expensive one we’ve ever stayed in and we stayed in London in the Premier Inn and it wasn’t half price. Is this one? I don’t go much on the actual Hotel to be fair that the location was great obviously you were next-door to the MS Arena sorry for the comic, it was great but when we first arrived, the bathroom was dirty. There was people’s hair around the back of the toilet and on the floor and inside the bath so we had to clean it we didn’t have anyone coming into service our rooms because we are an autistic family. We can’t have people in our rooms at all but I was a bit more wary with the sign post that was on the door on the way out that says do not leave any valuables in your room so we have to keep taking our valuables in a bag and putting it in the car boot until we got back and then had to walk all the way back to the car to get the bag out again, which was a bit annoying and a bit frustrating considering my children need their iPads, etc. We would not stay there agai

No parking at hotel but parking nearby which was not well sign posted but secure and reasonably priced multistorey car park

Comfy room. 2 night stay but unfortunately first morning no hot water for shower.

Very nicer newer hotel in a very convenient location. No parking at the site but plenty of parking nearby. The breakfast was excellent!

Hotel was busy due to event being held at the arena so the place was a bit disorganised and messy. Room was good although asked for a quiet room and got one facing the front of the arena, so noisy until the arena closed and again from 8am next morning. Had food and it was awful poor value for money and we left most of it so a waste of money too. Good coffee and tea and water in the room and bed was very comfy! Some of the staff especially the male receptionists was extremely unhelpful and a tad dismissive

Fantastic city centre location beside the Mersey and Albert Docks. Food and drink - meh. Rooms lovely. Staff adorable. Some of the bar chairs were soiled and water stained - eugh. No parking. Expensive and poor disabled parking at next door hotel

Very well-appointed and clean hotel with friendly staff, directly across from the M S Bank Arena. Parking at the King's Dock was conveniently located - about a 5 minute walk

The hotel was nice the only problem we had was that the air com wasn’t working and I had looked for a hotel that had air com. apart from that the hotel was lovely clean and did discount on the parking. So overhaul was a good hotel and I would book again.

The staff were great. Especially the lady called Eni at the reception was very kind and helpful. Car park is a bit away so you need to walk for 5 min, and not cheep.

This is a good hotel in a good location but the parking no was not explained to me despite me asking about parking. I was told parking was in the close by (4 min walk) multi story which I duly parked in. What they didn’t say to me is they could validate the ticket so I got a discount from the extortionate £18 overnight fee. I had paid by then but it just left a bad feeling.

The hotel itself was ok staff were friendly room was clean and tidy but the toilet sink and bath were stained the non slip part in bath was dirty looking inside toilet urine stained and around plug hole in sink dirty i only had breakfast it was eatable but bland the bar area was nice and drinks reasonably priced car parking is a 2 minute walk from hotel and cost 18 pounds for an overnight stay

The lobby, bar, and breakfast area were clean and well maintained, the hallways, rooms, and especially the room bathrooms were filthy. The paint above the bathtub/shower was peeling and moments away from falling off as you showered. The calk in the bathroom was covered in black mold. Every corner of the bathroom had dirt in it. There was feces and/or blood on the wall just over the toilet tissue. There was visible trash (discarded sugar packets, discarded water bottles, etc.) on the hallway floors. The same in the elevators, where you could also find discarded food. This was not cleaned up from the time that we saw it the evening prior to the following morning. The carpet in the hallways was thread bare in many places and dirty. Be aware that this hotel is just across from the M&S Bank Event center and when there is an event going on the hotel bar fills up with event goers. This makes it incredibly difficult for travelers to get food. The hotel staff that we encountered put forth little to no effort. They did their job begrudgingly and at the expense of any customer service. Would not recommend this hotel.

While location is convenient if you are attending the events in venues around and area is so nice, this hotel is simply dirty!! Towels - dirty (while changed daily, the "clean ones" are not clean, sheets - dirty (3 nights and no one bothered to change sheets with huge stain on them, even if asked, carpet - dirty; was not vacuumed 3 days I was there. Add mold all over the bathroom and you get a place one should never visit.

When we went to go to bed, the bed had not had a sheet fitted, the bathroom wall showed signed of vomit on the wall (room 440). The bed topper looked like it had signed of yellow (wee). In general he room check before hand over to customer was shocking

The hotel was lovely and clean in the lobby so it made quite a shock when we saw our rooms; floor and wall stains, long hairs in the bathroom and in the towels. Very shocked at the state of the place considering cleaners were everywhere. Staff were lovely. We're gluten-free and although they had a gluten free area, it wasn't policed very well, so non gluten free people kept coming up to it and using it which is obviously a massive cross contamination risk, the food is no good to us if it's contaminated. A bigger selection would be nice but telling "normal" people to stay away from the dedicated gluten free area would be my main stress.

This hotel has a great location. However the room had a small double bed, the matress was not great quality causing my partner to have a bad back. The carpet was stained in several areas. The room looked tired. The reception areas was fine & above all the staff were friendly. Had breakfast on our last day, split food not swept up, sticky floor. Food quality below average. With an hour to go a people still coming in for breakfast, when we asked for croissants told they had run out. I have stayed at Leanardo hotels before in London & these have been great. This Liverpool Leanardo is very basic & appears not to be as good as the Jurys Inn under previous ownership. We will not stay there again, the Pullman hotel we have stayed in before is in a different league & & only slightly more expensive.

Room had mould around window and on bathroom ceiling, not cleaned very well. Bed was uncomfortable and could hear noise from other rooms.

Excellebt location. Hotel privided great value for a midweek stay. Room was clean, warm and quiet

3rd time we have stayed hete and this was the worae sty. Room was dated, carpet had stains, bathroom was terrible. Shelf broken, stains.

Room 601 is next to the lifts so was very noisey trying to get to sleep and air con is locked of a night so room was warm, i always stay here so it was a shame hence why i didnt complain as i generally love the hotel and location

We always stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and the beds are really comfy. Breakfast is good with a lot of choice. On the docks easy walk for the shops and the arena is just across from the hotel.

Climate controls were difficult to figure out but room warm enough after solving how use the controllet. Room was a bit dark and dingy with low voltage lights. Wash basin was cracked as were the bathroom floor tiles. Carpet was very badly stained. Bed was comfortable. Room facilities were adequate but could do with better cleaning routine. Good wifi signal. All in all our stay was ok but room could do with a make over.

Definitely worth the upgrade to the Executive rooms. Fridge and snacks included. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was great.

The room was ready on time. Beautiful room. Fantastic views over the docks. Very helpful staff. Didn’t eat in restaurant but looked good.

Great location at the docks and close to everything we wanted to do. Room was average. Any noise in the hallways or closing of doors down the way are heard in your room. We felt like we had no privacy. Beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

great location,staff very friendly and helpful....great night's sleep but lacking room facilities like lock safe,mini fridge and bathroom moisturizers

Wasn't aware I was a VIP,as didn't get an upgrade. Room was okay but walls are thin and it doesn't help when you have drunken yobs in the room next door being loud and banging your wall at 3am. Thid isn't the hotel's fault but try calling their 24 hour reception to complain. No answer! A couple of terrible nights sleep oh and a bond to book because I bookedon the day. Apparently people who book on the day must trash rooms and others don't!

The staff were extremely helpful and polite. They couldn’t help enough. The hotel was really clean and in a great location.

Repeatedly faulty door cards which, on the sixth floor was tedious. They did replace the cards after a few trips! Room service poor. Rather small supplies of teabags. Reception did not always answer the phone and then going all the way down showed nobody at the desk. We love Leonardo hotels but this just didn’t do that well, sorry!

Great hotel & location, bar food staff friendly & helpful. But the check in staff are always verging on rude, it’s a shame as the hotel is excellent in every other aspect, the two that were on the front desk were definitely not happy in there work. Stayed there 5 times now & it seems a common occurrence. Would not stop me going back though as like the hotel & location

Food was good along with the service from the bar/kitchen staff. Reception staff rude and incompetent. Bar was very busy after a show we watched, attempted to use the self service shop to buy drinks but the check out didn't work. Directed to two different tills to make the purchase but was ignored by staff. Rooms where dated, stains on the carpets and mold in the bathroom.

We had a great time in.liverpool. the staff at tgecrecrption were extremely friendly and accomadating. The only things tgat would put me off not stsyibg again was the shower was a bit dated and broken. Also wevtried to order room service but the phone was being hung up on 2 occasions, i tealisevtgat tge hotel was busy but would have been nice to be able to order some food.

We recently stayed at Hotel Leonardo in Liverpool for a conference, booking three rooms for four nights. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the awful behavior of Demi at the front desk. She was rude, confrontational, and, when I tried to explain the catalogue of errors we'd encountered during the first 12 hrs of checking in, she told me to "stop talking!" This level of disrespect is completely unacceptable for any type of role where you are customer facing. While I do want to acknowledge that the manager could not apologise enough and assured me that they would address the situation with Demi, I was dismayed to encounter her again at check-out. In my opinion, Demi is not suited for a front desk role, and she needs significant improvement and training in basics of customer service. Not once did she acknowledge the errors they had made or apologise that we were being made to move rooms again (for some of us it was the third room in 12 hrs). Although the rest of the staff were polite and professional, Demi's behavior completely overshadowed our experience, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on the way we were treated. It left such a bitter taste that I would certainly wish no one else is subjected to that level of disrespect.

The lobby area etc was clean and tidy however I was disappointed with the room there was a sounds of running water all night in the bathroom, the air conditioning/heating not working and the shower was more of a trickle of water. When I complained the receptionist said sorry! Only having booked 3 rooms I felt this was an appalling response!

We always stay at this hotel when we visit LIVERPOOL.. the staff are always friendly and helpful (ste, Ben, jack, Logan, Sam and neive) the beds are really comfy and you get plenty of choice at breakfast

We really enjoyed our stay at leonardo hotel big shout out to Charley on reception we had a couple of issues which she handled in professional happy and positive way she is a real credit to the hotel and herself would definitely stay here again

Room was clean and functional. Foyer and reception was clean and staff helpful and friendly. Location is perfect just far enough away to be quiet but only five mins walk to the bars/restaurants etc!

Lovely room with a superb view.Very comfortable bed. Extremely clean room and hotel. Fluffy big towels and gowns. Friendly staff. Handy location for walking to centre, so close to pretty Albert Docks. Good security checked if we were staying when we came back to hotel late. Close to car park. Lovely hotel in the middle of the docks, easy access to dining ect. Nice walk to Liverpool One and the city centre. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent location, right at the heart of Albert Dock area

Great hotel in a great location, staff were extremely helpful. We didn’t stay for breakfast but dining area looked great. Iron, hairdryer etc in the room along with coffee facilities. Right opposite the M & S arena and right next door to a fab Punjabi restaurant. 2 min walk to Albert Dock and nearby shops

No hot water in shower. Food in restaurant very poor, some unedible, not hot. Starter served with main meals. Spoke to manager had £11 refund , worst hotelmeal we have ever had. £3.30 for a can of coke extortionate. Room spotless, staff polite.

Good hotel, bar food was poorly cooked, tasteless, burnt.

The accommodation was very comfortable and in an excellent location but was badly let down by the Bar/Diner. Waited 40 minutes for a couple of burgers which arrived barely warm and with some of the dressings missing - the diner wasn’t even that busy, so no excuse there. The buns hadn’t been toasted and worst of all, the meat was full of fatty lumps. The ‘skin on fries’ were straight out of McDonalds but soggy. Also ordered onions rings and got 4 for £5. £1.25 for an onion ring is the most expensive I’ve ever had. I think it was the worst meal I’ve ever had. Totally inexcusable and a complete ripoff at the price. Come on Leonardo Hotel, surely you can offer better for your guests.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only thing we weren't happy with was the breakfast. We thought it was expensive as the food was luke warm and the coffee was cold. The coffee machine was not working efficiently either.

Have stayed at the Leonardo Liverpool multiple times and have had a great stay. I’m sad to say that we were left disappointed this time. The price of breakfast has been raised, which is fine, however the choice of items and standard of the food was very disappointing. Less choice of hot food, undercooked items and food serving dishes left empty for long periods. Definitely not worth the £31 price tag.

There was plenty of choices of drinks. Slightly overpriced to be honest but seems the norm these days. The service at rhe bar was well conducted with no one served out of turn. The choices for breakfast was again well provides for most tastes and all the staff were pleasant and helful throughout our short stay. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy with a generous supply of beverages provided. The only slight problem was the tissues supplied in the bathroom ran out though it was as we were getting ready to leave. It was a lovely hotel to stay at and as we were seeing a show at the arena across the road the exit from the ground floor onto the concourse facing the venue was excellent considering the windy weather.
