Days Inn by Wyndham Dawson Creek

Hotel was under construction and was very noisy . We were not impressed on our first stay and did not go back for our second reservation on the 24 of June. They were re roofing the entire hotel. In situations like that I would expect a refund.

The property was under construction. I should have been informed about this prior to my booking. There were also several other problems, noise etc., and the manager did not respind to repeated messages for assistance. As such, I checked out of the hotel early and booked another hotel.

We enjoyed our stay, great that it had great amenities nearby, and enough parking available. Breakfast was great as well.

Both front desk and housekeeping checked to make sure everything was as we wanted. Exercise room clean and well equipped.

Very good room and service. some construction ongoing on roof.

I can not say enough good about Michael who was manning the front desk when we arrived, early. Our room wasn’t ready so he put us in the lobby on comfortable sofas and helped us get started on our laundry at the well equipped guest laundry room. Two hours before regular check-in time, Michael came to us saying our room was ready. When we got there, we discovered Michael had upgraded us to a suite! Oh, and yeah, all the other stuff was great, too: comfort, cleanliness, amenities. I strongly recommend staying here in your way through BC!

Very clean. Great continental breakfast.

The staff and service was excellent however we did have to change room twice . The first room had a non functioning AC unit, the second room smelled heavily of smoke. The quality of the food at breakfast was also excellent.

Room was extremely clean. Hotel was a great location and convenient for shopping/walking. Breakfast is served in the morning.

Possibly the worst room I have ever been in. Stains everywhere. Holes in the walls. Dirty cloths left all over.

Beautiful large room with two queen beds which were very comdy and super clean and quiet. Nice breakfast too

The hotel is nice from a glance but needs some love. The bed was very saggy on the one side where it is open to the room, likely the preferred side for single travellers to sleep on. I would try to sleep in the middle but would slowly slide that way during the night and wake up right on the edge. Not very comfortable. My room had 2 blank spots on the walls where pictures used to be and the drywall anchors still in place - tacky. Something (kitchen sink?) made a clicking and grinding noise all night. The breakfast was very minimal; the scrambled eggs tasted watery and had the consistency of rice (odd). The sausages and hash browns were okay. The breakfast waffle was nice with the strawberry sauce.

The front desk clerk was fast and helpful. Very pleasant personality. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was good. Overall great stay.

all expectations met or exceeded for a double queen room. comfy clean. would stay here again anytime.

The front desk clerk was fast and helpful. Very pleasant personality. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was good. Overall great stay.

The main issues I had were around payment - I called ahead to tell them that we would be checking in late (around 10pm) and they said that was fine - we showed up and checked in but later I realized that they had also charged one of my other cards for the first night...they reversed it eventually but then upon checkout they finalized the original charge for our stay, effective the day we checked in but added another authorization for the full amount of our stay, effective a day after we checked out and that pending charge is still on my card 4 days after checking out - credit card company says they cant dispute it until it is finalized and no longer pending and the hotel just denies that there is second authorization, even though I can clearly see it through my online banking. This was my 4th time staying at this hotel but I think I will try another one next time. Most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok most days (scrambled eggs were barely edible). Housekeeping did not come in to bring us fresh towels, empty garbage etc once in the week we were there - on about day 3 we asked at the front desk if it was because we were leaving our do not disturb sign on until we had breakfast, got ready and left (it was usually removed by about 10 or 11am) and they said they would make a note for them to possibly check later - they knocked on our door at 7am the next morning when we were sleeping and then never came back. We went to the front desk to get towels and TP as needed

When we were at the check-in, the staff didn't tell me that there were extra charges for 4 people in the room, because when I was booking this room it showed that could sleep for 4 in the room. after we finished check-in, the front desk staff saw as 4 people walk in, and ask for extra $21 because we have 4 people with one room. I have experience choosing Daysinn, never happened like that told after we had 4 people walk into the hotel. Such a bad experience this time after a long drive to Dawson creek, I will never choose Dayinn anymore.

Nice spot close to shopping and restaurants, price fluctuating day after day could gp up over $50 a night overnight

Clean, comfortable, close to the airport, good stay

The gentleman checking is in was very friendly and welcoming. The morning breakfast choices were good. The rooms were clean, big and comfortable. The shower actually had pressure. Super close to the pool/event centre, highway and food choices.

Good place to stay, it is a working community, so its nice that you are close to everything a transient worker needs. Breakfast is nice and early in the morning and is standard warm breakfast but good none the less
