Quirky old inn in the middle of town, challenging parking, tight stairs, window to the courtyard with restaurant noise. The room was small but ok, so was the bathroom, nice hot water and good working heaters. Breakfast was to pre- order but substandard.

The breakfast was good and the pub downstairs is a good spot for a drink. Our room faces the road but was very quiet and did not get any noise from the pub. Given the cost of staying in Chipping Campden, we felt the rate was very reasonable.

Lovely country pub in a beautiful village. Friendly check in. Room was basic with separate bathroom but we had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Ample supply of tea and coffee. Nice room above a historic tavern, comfortable bed, friendly staff, great breakfast, good location- HOWEVER it was the tavern frequented by rowdy locals on a Friday & Saturday night so it was very load & we were kept up late.

The rooms were clean...with amenities like coffee tea facilities, hairdryer, lots of charging points and even the shared bathrooms were clean and big and comfortable to use. The cooked breakfast choices was good and included in the budget friendly price. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Location is walking distance to townhall and bus stop. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a clean budget friendly accomodation in Chipping Camden.

We managed to get a room that had its own bathroom, but it was separate from our bedroom. That was a bit awkward, but we managed just fine for the 1 night we were there. Indian restaurant on property was outstanding at making dishes exactly as we requested, which was vegan and not spicy hot. Breakfast was also excellent vegan. Since our room was right over the bar, we were afraid it would be noisy, but it wasn't.

Absolutely loved it here! Chipping Campden is a great little Village and a great home base for visiting the Cotswolds. Loved the picnic area at the back of the property for enjoying drinks from the pub and playing cards! Bedroom was great! Kind sized bed was a true king size (I think they pushed the 2 twins together). Room was spacious, bathroom was large too! Breakfast was great as well. Would absolutely return!

The pub and hotel rooms do not work well together. Very noisy . The room is so hot we had to keep the windows open Just letting all the sound in from the smoking area right below the window. breakfast was good. However, the hotel is way overpriced for what you get.

Peter was a great help with getting me checked-in early, as I was off for a wedding and would have otherwise struggled. Super friendly and helpful and got an upgrade on the room too. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. The town is so lovely and pretty. As it is a historic property, the stairs and floor above were a bit creaky. something to bear in mind if you're sound-sensitive...

The Volunteer Inn was a lovely place for a 2-night stay while in the area for a wedding. The room (twin beds for me and my daughter) was a good size, very clean and nicely decorated. It was well equipped with towels, tea tray etc. There was some noise from the public during opening hours but it didn’t bother us and should be expected. The breakfasts were fantastic and they have a good system for preordering the night before. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the check in/out process was quick and easy.

Check in was friendly, efficient and fast. The room was clean, however the bed was uncomfortable and resulted in a very poor nights sleep. The en-suite bathroom was large but the shower very poor and difficult to use because of such a poor flow of water. The breakfast was great value and very tasty. The town and area is a lovely place to visit.

On arrival hotel asked for payment but had already paid. Took a bit of sorting but extra payment returned before we left. Room clean and comfortable with village very quiet and peaceful at night. Bit unhappy with shared bathroom but other user only there for 1 night. Breakfast ok, food cooked to order, hot and did the job.

The pub was full of friendly convivial locals. The staff was great. It is a dog-friendly pub (which we liked). If you want a very quiet place to stay, this might not be for you, but it was silent by 12:30 a.m. or so as the staff was cleaning up then. We also closed our windows and were fine. We really enjoyed the location, vibe, and friendliness of staff, locals, and other travellers.
The pub was full of friendly convivial locals. The staff was great. It is a dog-friendly pub (which we liked). Just an overnight stay to start the Cotswold Way walk. Didn’t eat dinner there as we weren’t in the mood for Indian food. Room was clean and comfortable and spacious for three. Lovely historical building full of character. Hotel has a great luggage transfer service for ‘Way’ walkers - cost competitive and reliable option for ten transfers. Breakfast was good, early and efficient. Overall - good value for money.

Comfortable ensuite room and very clean. Breakfast very generous and tasty. All the staff we met were very friendly, polite and helpful. Restaurant reasonably priced; tasty food and a great atmosphere. A great venue from which to explore the Cotswolds.

The rooms were clean...with amenities like coffee tea facilities, hairdryer, lots of charging points and even the shared bathrooms were clean and big and comfortable to use. The cooked breakfast choices was good and included in the budget friendly price. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Location is walking distance to townhall and bus stop. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a clean budget friendly accomodation in Chipping Camden.

Quirky old inn in the middle of town, challenging parking, tight stairs, window to the courtyard with restaurant noise. The room was small but ok, so was the bathroom, nice hot water and good working heaters. Breakfast was to pre- order but substandard.

Lovely country pub in a beautiful village. Friendly check in. Room was basic with separate bathroom but we had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Ample supply of tea and coffee. Lovely meal in the Indian restaurant. Continental breakfast was very basic but the cooked breakfast was lovely with perfectly cooked poached eggs.

We managed to get a room that had its own bathroom, but it was separate from our bedroom. That was a bit awkward, but we managed just fine for the 1 night we were there. Indian restaurant on property was outstanding at making dishes exactly as we requested, which was vegan and not spicy hot. Breakfast was also excellent vegan. Since our room was right over the bar, we were afraid it would be noisy, but it wasn't.

Overall great location and drinks and food were great. Liked the breakfast options. Only problem was being on top of an active and popular pub meant noise from the bar till the early hours.

The Volunteer Inn was a lovely place for a 2-night stay while in the area for a wedding. The room (twin beds for me and my daughter) was a good size, very clean and nicely decorated. It was well equipped with towels, tea tray etc. There was some noise from the public during opening hours but it didn’t bother us and should be expected. The breakfasts were fantastic and they have a good system for preordering the night before. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the check in/out process was quick and easy.

The bedroom was really disappointing - for £260 for 2 nights I expected more. It looked like a student bedroom - very basic furnishings, a small double bed, a bathroom radiator that wouldn’t switch off or turn down - we turned it down to 0, still red hot. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed so we had choose between leaving the window open to let the heat out (and having the door clatter back and forth) or closing the window and letting the heat in. What we saw of the pub itself we liked, breakfast was ok (apart from having to decide the night before!) and dinner at the Maharaja was delicious and it reasonably priced.
