I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kismet Cave House. This is a charming historic stone property. Every corner feels special, it is beautifully decorated with antique furniture, handwoven carpets, and unique ceramic pieces. The carvings in the stone walls and the hand-painted details by local artists give the place a special touch. It’s cozy, full of character, and truly one of a kind. My room was very clean and comfortable.  Breakfast was great: delicious, varied, and served in a bright, spacious room with a large terrace. The breakfast area is at the family’s neighboring hotel, which also has a rooftop terrace. It was the perfect spot to watch the magical hot-air balloons float across the morning sky. The staff were simply amazing – warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help me make the best of my trip. They shared fantastic tips on what to see and do, making sure I got the most out of my time in Cappadocia. This was Turkish hospitality at its finest, and without a doubt, one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had.

I spent a long time reading reviews when trying do decide where to stay in Cappadocia, and ended up choosing Kismet house because many people had commented about the kindness, helpfulness, and friendliness of the family who runs it. It's hard to state how big a difference that made for me on my trip. They truly welcomed me like a family member, even inviting me to a special dinner (they normally only serve breakfast) in the dining room upstairs. My room (Cave room, 104) was exceptionally comfortable and clean, and surprisingly big and had both a jacuzzi bathtub and a huge shower (and heated floors?!?!). The location is excellent, right downtown, a short walk down a side street so it's very central, but also very quiet. The rooftop has many terraces with incredible views, especially good for watching the balloons fly directly overhead at sunrise. The breakfast (served daily) was a huge treat, everything was abundant and beyond delicious and many of the items (jams, dried fruits, yogurt...) were either home made or sourced from the family's farm (they even gave me fresh milk from their cow, which was incredible). Yusuf (a son) was happy to book my tours (Red & Green) and made everything very easy. Faruq (the father, apologies if I'm spelling the names wrong) was incredibly kind and generous and knowledgeable. I will never forget my stay at Kismet Cave House/Mansion, nor the family who made my visit perfect and unforgettable.
