We were offered an upgraded room with a balcony because they didn’t have any standard king rooms available. We didn’t use the pool area, but did notice that hot tub was permanently covered up. The only inconvenience was an issue with their fire suppression system, that triggered fire alarms at 6:30 am. This required evacuation of the building for about 1/2 hour. Since we were up, we grabbed breakfast and hit the road early.

Hot tub was out of order, rooms needed updating, floors creak. Looks nice on the outside. One of the front desk ladies was extremely nice and awesome.

Very frustrated when they say they have a lift in the pool area and it doesn't work. I am disabled & was loosing forward to using the pool! The shower in my accessible room did not have a bench or seat of any kind. If I hadn't brought my own I would not have been able to shower.

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean and I liked that there was a fridge and coffeemaker in the room. Lobby and bkfst area was clean and bright. We did not use the pool but it appeared clean and bright as well! Breakfast was ok, bread was a bit dry; selection of 2 cereals, oranges and apples, juice, bagels. The outside of the property needs attention Lots. Ut down the dead trees, mow the grass and weeds, pickup the garbage, paint the handicap parking with a fresh coat of oaint, and add a bunch of flower pots Large pots with lots of color. Do the same around the flagpole- plant and landscape. Doing so will improve the perception and show guests they are welcome!

The place was filthy and smelled horrible! I was sad that we chose this place for our first night on our road trip with our kids. The guy at the front desk was very rude when checking in because they did not have our adjoining rooms like we called and requested months ago. He called the manager in front of me talking rudely about me like I was making up that I called and requested adjoining rooms. Then changed his tone a little bit when he realized it was noted on the account. But we never got adjoining rooms or the rooms we actually booked with the balcony. But do not believe the pictures online because the hotel does not look like that. Very dirty and outdated. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. You think it would be cleaner with having the Mayo Clinic in its name! There is no hot tub like the pictures and the pool is super small and pool area is filthy!

Wyndham corporate should be ashamed to list this as a property. First of all, there is no easy access to the hotel, took a couple tries to find the parking lot. Second, my first room reeked of mildew and mold, the carpet was damp, and the air conditioner was noisier than the outside traffic. The front desk employee was kind and quick to switch rooms for me. The second room didn't smell, but still felt damp (1st floor is a sunken level). The room was not only worn, but neglected. Curtains didn't close, I used bobby pins from my hair to keep them shut as my window looked directly out onto the parking lot and anyone near could see in. They were also holey and stained, the bathroom needs renovation, part of the ceiling looked like it was going to fall in. Paint patches on the wall didn't match, and the door would only shut with great force. It was too late to go elsewhere, so I made it work, but I do not recommend this place, even for the weariest of travelers. Huge dissappointment.

when arrived we found soiled sheets (feces or bodily flood) was told could not get new sheets replace for second day, at first told staff "if I could not get replaced for next day stay"...I DEMANDED that they be replaced...hotel finally agreed...would recommend that this placed be removed from from EXPEDIA LIST...worst experience ever.

It did the job as far as someplace to get a nights sleep but it was a far from ideal. Needs a huge facelift & smelled. The price was right, but will be looking elsewhere next time we are at Mayo.

Everything in the room was spotless. Not a hair to be found on any surface in the bathroom. The air conditioner did not cool the room well enough on two hot days of 85 degrees. All staff except one weekend person were as good as it gets. I think the carpet in the hallway on the 3rd floor smelled bad. Also my room had a horrible odor of perhaps cheap air freshener when I first arrived. I think my room had just been cleaned. The odor continued in the air until I bought a great PlugIn at the Walgreens across the street. I informed the front desk person about this problem the first day and another front desk person the day I checked out. We discussed the fact that I had seen a negative review about an odor problem before I arrived at the hotel.....this person said management was aware of that complaint and that they were trying to figure out what to do. So now here is another guest that is saying the same thing....this is to bad because my room was indeed perfectly clean and the staff was great, helpful etc. The breakfast foods were definitely sufficient and enough variety to please every palate, from a fresh orange and yogurt to a high carb freshly made waffle or pastry.....the broken hot tub in the pool area was unsightly because of orange or yellow cones and flags sitting there to keep people away. There is a window so everyone in the lobby can see this mess as they check in, etc. And I got a great price thru hotels.com .....thanks everyone.

The heating/cooling systems needs to be replaced ASAP. Baseboard heat was hard to control. The front of the window air conditioner kept falling off. Mattresses were lumpy. Bathroom had nice updated.

Room was very clean. I asked for handicap accessible, but it was not. Bathroom was was barely accessible. So small you had to squeeze beside toilet to shut bathroom door. The picture of the room I reserved indicated it had a comfy chair. There was only a desk chair. Beds had deep divots you were forced to sleep in. The front desk lady didn’t speak clear English;didn’t understand a thing she said. So glad we just knew the check in process. Won’t stay here again.

The heater/ac is super loud kicking on and off every few minutes throughout the night and it was hard to sleep or even hear the tv. Everything else is ok, not great not terrible. Employees were very kind and professional, though.

Well this hotel is pretty run down. I was having an ok experience until a staff member let someone into my room while my 15 year old daughter was asleep alone in our room. Went to the front desk and that staff member gave my number to the GM. He called at 10:20 pm. I spoke to him the next morning and very little was done. He said he would check the cameras to figure out what happened and that was it. So if you like random people being let into your room then this is the place for you! Would not stay here again!

They gave us a room in which the key wasn't working. We went down to the desk 4 times before they finally gave us a different room. They went up with us the third time because they said the keys could be tricky but it didn't work for them either. Then we went back down and got a new room, the desk clerk did come with us to make sure the new room worked and it did. The staff was good but at 10:30 pm you don't really want to mess around getting into a room. Then when we got into a room, the TV remote wasn't working. The batteries were in wrong and when we changed them to work correctly, it still didn't work.

When I checked in they couldn’t find my reservation at first and it was pre paid but took a card for incidentals and they gave me a room at the end off the hall. When I opened the door there was already someone in the room. I went back to the front desk and they gave me another room. The next morning they again couldn’t find me but once they found me they charged my credit card for the nights stay again so I paid twice. I called the manager and she got things figured out and credited our account .

Our room had pieces of the old air conditioner all over the floor, the window unit was louder than the tv and the room smelled musty. The guy behind the desk was on the phone when we arrived at 12:45 and all we wanted was a bed bc we had to me at Mayo at 6a… and he took his time getting the keys and such ready while being on the phone.

The front desk staff were so kind and accommodating, and we’re very friendly. My daughter absolutely loved the gal at the front desk during our stay and talked with her frequently. She was kind and answered her many questions with Grace kindness, and empathy. The dining room was always very clean and every time I would come back from the wedding staff was always eager to greet and ask about my day. I would stay here again, simply because of the staff interactions alone.

Arriving just after dark, I was very concerned re safety in the parking lot. However, no real issues. Given the area's vibe, the low nightly rate and the overall exterior condition, the room was actually comparatively quite a bit nicer than youd expect. Spacious, Full amenities, fairly clean, everything worked. I didnt have time to enjoy the included breakfast but many seemed quite pleased with it.

Very comfortable bed. Budget-friendly, simple continental breakfast (waffles, cereal, yogurt, a small variety of bread, coffee, tea, cocoa). It was quiet during my stay. Close to the Mayo, RCTC, and downtown. Friendly front desk gals. I would stay again.

Wyndham corporate should be ashamed to list this as a property. First of all, there is no easy access to the hotel, took a couple tries to find the parking lot. Second, my first room reeked of mildew and mold, the carpet was damp, and the air conditioner was noisier than the outside traffic. The front desk employee was kind and quick to switch rooms for me. The second room didn't smell, but still felt damp (1st floor is a sunken level). The room was not only worn, but neglected. Curtains didn't close, I used bobby pins from my hair to keep them shut as my window looked directly out onto the parking lot and anyone near could see in. They were also holey and stained, the bathroom needs renovation, part of the ceiling looked like it was going to fall in. Paint patches on the wall didn't match, and the door would only shut with great force. It was too late to go elsewhere, so I made it work, but I do not recommend this place, even for the weariest of travelers. Huge dissappointment.

Dated but room was just fine, pool looked nice, breakfast was limited but great all things considered. Good coffee and waffles! I think some that work there must live on site (a little odd). But for what I paid, it was just fine. only complaint would be the keycards were constantly messing up, had to exchange them literally almost daily.

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean and I liked that there was a fridge and coffeemaker in the room. Lobby and bkfst area was clean and bright. We did not use the pool but it appeared clean and bright as well! Breakfast was ok, bread was a bit dry; selection of 2 cereals, oranges and apples, juice, bagels. The outside of the property needs attention Lots. Ut down the dead trees, mow the grass and weeds, pickup the garbage, paint the handicap parking with a fresh coat of oaint, and add a bunch of flower pots Large pots with lots of color. Do the same around the flagpole- plant and landscape. Doing so will improve the perception and show guests they are welcome!

The sliding barn door to the bathroom came off its track and needed 2 able bodied adults to put it back. The breakfast was very limited and did not include anything high fiber except generic raisin bran. Yogurt was a bright spot. The desk clerk was quite helpful when we had voice calling issues with both our phones.

There was a strong odor of what smelled like ammonia/cat urine when I checked in. I was glad my room didn’t smell like that. Rooms were small and dated, but bed seemed new. Pool had hair and glitter floating in it, so my kids didn’t want to swim in it. Hot tub was out of order. It was in a good location, close to our event. Breakfast was good. Staff on checkout was friendly. Check in, not so much. Overall, I most likely not stay here again.

Everything in the room was spotless. Not a hair to be found on any surface in the bathroom. The air conditioner did not cool the room well enough on two hot days of 85 degrees. All staff except one weekend person were as good as it gets. I think the carpet in the hallway on the 3rd floor smelled bad. Also my room had a horrible odor of perhaps cheap air freshener when I first arrived. I think my room had just been cleaned. The odor continued in the air until I bought a great PlugIn at the Walgreens across the street. I informed the front desk person about this problem the first day and another front desk person the day I checked out. We discussed the fact that I had seen a negative review about an odor problem before I arrived at the hotel.....this person said management was aware of that complaint and that they were trying to figure out what to do. So now here is another guest that is saying the same thing....this is to bad because my room was indeed perfectly clean and the staff was great, helpful etc. The breakfast foods were definitely sufficient and enough variety to please every palate, from a fresh orange and yogurt to a high carb freshly made waffle or pastry.....the broken hot tub in the pool area was unsightly because of orange or yellow cones and flags sitting there to keep people away. There is a window so everyone in the lobby can see this mess as they check in, etc. And I got a great price thru hotels.com .....thanks everyone.

We had a longer stay of 2 weeks. Due to Mayo Clinic appointments for my wife. Checkin was fine. Lobby was nice, however when I located my room it was downstairs in the basement level. The room was not what showed on my reservation. It was a king room but didn't have a balcony, which what I thought I had selected on Hotels.com. The confirmation email showed a balcony room. Very misleading. However there was no way to change the reservation without paying extra. I already paid a lot. The room was beat up very shabby paint job. The window was cracked and had spider webs all over with spiders. The bathtub/shower would back up with water which had disgusting hair clog that came out of the drain, which wasn't any of myself or my wife's hair. They did have a maintenance de-clog the drain, but still backed up with water every time we showered. The only positive is hot coffee when ever you want. The hallways reeked of marijuana. The side entrance to get in with your room key didn't work so anyone could just come and go, serious security problem there. So instead of relaxing in our room after long days of testing at Mayo Clinic we spent it out and only slept there. Very disappointed I have never experienced this type of false advertising and misleading information.
