Check-in was quick, the room was clean, and the hotel itself was well maintained. Our front desk associate, was friendly and welcoming. Personally, I found him a little too casual and overly familiar for a hotel check-in, but he was genuinely trying to be nice, so no complaints about his attitude. Now..... The bed was one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. It wasn't until the next morning that it finally clicked why. The mattress felt exactly like a hospital mattress. Every time either of us moved, it made that crinkly, plastic-like noise. Even with the air conditioning set to 16°C on high all night, we were both hot, uncomfortable, and constantly tossing and turning. Then I looked closer at the bedding. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and worked in the hospitality industry, so I'm pretty familiar with what hotel bedding normally feels like. These sheets felt nothing like the soft cotton hotel sheets you'd expect. Instead, they felt synthetic, plastic-like, and reminded me of hospital bedding. Combined with the mattress, it honestly felt like sleeping on a hospital bed rather than a hotel bed. But here's the thing... When you're paying around $500 for a weekend stay, comfort isn't optional. The entire purpose of a hotel is to get a good night's sleep, and this was one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I've experienced.
