Very reasonably priced, complete with breakfast and parking, upgraded to prestige room, excellent large space room, bath and shower, huge bed, shower not super power but still good, we slept great for a stopover night. Hotel a bit isolated, that said the outlet store the other side of dual carriageway is worth a wander. Plenty of parking when we visited on a Saturday night, Sunday breakfast good variety. Reception lady lovely. 10 mins into Sheffield, this hotel might now become our goto

Easy to find, on site carpark, friendly receptionist. Good sized room and Grandaughter loved the made up double sofa bed. Selection of drinks but only decaf in coffee pods. Only one biscuit for 3 of us was a little disappointing. Plenty of room in bed for 2. Good size bathroom and separate shower, nice smelling products available. Good choice for breakfast following peaceful nights sleep in quiet surroundings.

The hotel reception areas/bar etc all felt new and comfortable. The room was a lovely room, nice bathroom and facilities and in room extras. ie: iron/board extra towels/pillows, a fridge. Fortunately it was Winter and dark so the view was not important……which is good as there wasn’t one! It’s a little out of the way on an industrial estate but I would stay again. You def need a car or cab as it’s nowhere near shops/restaurants. for me it was convenient for the Utilita arena and Meadowhall.

Booked 2 rooms, had a lovely stay with just a few minor gripes. My room had stains on duvet & in shower (had to give a quick clean before use) The other room the fan in the bathroom was very loud and went off at very unusual times which disturbed sleep during the night

Old exterior, but once inside everything was good. Bright and clean and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was good and well stocked.. couldn’t fault it. A good, well run hotel!

The hotel was just fine for what I needed. Clean and serviceable. My negatives are that the shower was terrible, it was literally a dribble. The fridge in room was useful but so noisy I had to turn it off to sleep and as far the eco pledge goes, I put my towel back on the radiator folded as they say they will only replace if it’s on the floor but they still gave me a brand new towel!

Friendly and helpful reception and breakfast staff. Tasty breakfast. Hotel lobby stylish and everything clean. Room big and comfortable. Walls very thin so could hear people talking at 1am and then doors banging and hairdryers going from 6.30am onwards so didn’t manage a restful night unfortunately.

Only real problem was that the property claims to have A/C but it does not actually work no matter how low you turn the thermostat. We were there for a very important sporting event but could not get a decent night's sleep because of the heat and was then dehydrated in the morning, so not a suitable property unless you like to overheat in the night.

Perfect overnight stay. Warm welcome and checked in quickly giving details of taxi and uber services to Sheffield Arena where we were going. Lovely clean room and everything what you needed. Lovely breakfast in the morning with a good choice of hot and cold food.

Was very disappointed the wifi was terrible had no signal in my room at all. On the first night food took a long time to be served and cleared and on the second night the restaurant had been set up for a group with no room for other guest so had to sit in the bar and the service was extremely slow

Check in was easy, quick and hassle free. The staff at reception gave a warm welcome and made finding our room simple. The room itself was very clean in all aspects, the bed was really comfortable and it was very quiet overall. It was a great overnight stay at the Mercure! I will be staying again! Thank you!

Conveniently close to motorway as a place to stop over and break a long drive. However, wi-fi was erratic - sometimes normal speed, sometimes really slow. Dinner service also quite slow - half hour wait from ordering to meal arriving. Not sure why as it wasn’t particularly busy.

On the day before our arrival at the Mercure, the hotel had contacted Hotels.com to say our booking was cancelled. Even although the booking was made 8 months before in November. I got a voicemail from Hotels.com, which I didn't pick up, at 6 a.m. the day we were due to go to the Mercure Sheffield Parkway they then phoned my mobile while I was driving so unable to answer. We did get the message about the cancellation around 11.30 a.m.and phoned the hotel.A very unhelpful lady answered, saying our booking had been cancelled and to contact Hotels.com . No apology, no reason given. My friend and I don't know the area and were on our way to a day at a flower show. We spent over an hour trying to contact hotels.com with no success mainly due to being without a signal where we were. It was sorted early evening after a heated discussion between myself and the hotels.com representative. The replacement hotel was good . Location, staff and comfort all very good. But the day had been very stressful .

The hotel was surrounded by factories we booked there because it’s only a couple of miles to the arena . The hotel was clean and modern we found the staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean I’d stay there again if I was going to the arena again

I enjoyed everything about this hotel: clean, everything worked as it should, helpful staff, nice lobby, safe free car park, easy to get to, good bathroom. £12.60 for taxi to get into city centre (£16 back).

Room was ok, breakfast was terrible, Luke warm and rubber, the morning staff didn’t seem bothered either, just wondering around aimlessly, the tables outside the front where nice but not enough, could have done with a few more so everyone could enjoy the sunshine

Very helpful staff. We arrived very early and they facilitated early check-in without us even asking. Breakfast was very good. Overall excellent value for money. Well done!

Food was awful it had to go back. Room was nice but tv wasnt plugged in, reception provided an extension lead to plug it into the wall. When they left i realised the remote had no batteries. I just gave up

Rooms were lovely and spacious. Very clean only thing was breakfast was cold and fruit salad items looked dry and turning brown

Conveniently close to motorway as a place to stop over and break a long drive. However, wi-fi was erratic - sometimes normal speed, sometimes really slow. Dinner service also quite slow - half hour wait from ordering to meal arriving. Not sure why as it wasn’t particularly busy.

The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The food at breakfast was atrocious, even though it was cooked to order rather than from a hot tray - badly cooked bacon, rubbery scrambled egg and cold tomatoes.

Too. Was spotlessly clean. Breakfast amazing loads of gluten free options felt very safe eating here.

Hotel was nice. Check in was quick and easy with helpful staff. Restaurant was ok- quite an expensive menu (2 pasta meals and 2 drinks were £50) but it was ok Rooms were comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay. I would recommend and would happily stay again

All was good with the hotel with the exception of the temperature control in the room. It was a warm week but the temperature control in the room seemed only capable to heat the room making it feel like a sauna and not conducive for a good nights sleep. Staff tried to help but there was nothing they could do. My advice is that if the weather is warm then ask for a room to the rear of the hotel, I think the rooms are smaller but they don't have the large windows which cause the room to overheat.
