Excellent location for Sheffield Arena. There were no parking spaces left but they had arranged an overflow car park with a neighbouring business which was great. We were on the 4th floor and the lift wasnt working, which we werent informed about until after we'd booked a no cancellation tariff, this was quite poor. The room was satisfactory for what we needed but the breakfast was poor for £8.50. Overall it wasnt worth £156 for the night but was still cheaper than premier inn and teavelodge in the dame area.

Staff friendly and welcoming, Basic room but with plenty of space for a solo traveller for just one night. Compact but efficient. No kettle but supplied on request which was welcome. TV wouldn't change channel despite trying two remotes but they did offer to change room. Heating worked great and heated up really quick. Hot water in shower (not super powerful, but adequate) Only really disappointing point was the £8.50 charge for parking!!This is too excessive for a budget hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, ibis as an organization that needs to improve their standards. The elevator and coffee machine did not work all 4 days we were there. Reviewing previous comments we see that the elevator has been out of service since April 14!!! Ibis, send someone to repair the elevator!!!! The coffee machine was out of service as well. The staff were wonderful. They problem solved and brought out boiling water in a thermos. However, not the same as selecting a flat white or cafe latte. Ibis, have some pride.

Honestly all would have been fine if it wasn't for the cockroach we had to kick out of our room. Other than that can't fault the staff there they were very helpful and the room itself was perfect for what we paid for.

For a budget hotel, this is a great choice. The rooms are small but cleverly designed so that you have everything you need. The lighting makes the rooms feel very cosy. The room was incredibly clean. The staff were friendly and incredibly hard working. It was a lovely stay.

Smelled like Urine, noisy with loads of kids running around. Constant yelling outside I had a young man in the lift threatening to kill someone on a call - I believe it was the police! Which terrified my young son. Bed was uncomfortable and room had a shower which leaked over the whole floor as no curtain. Breakfast tables were all dirty and no one was around to clean anything up. I actually felt sorry for the 1 staff member and helped clean up the dinning area. No staff available, all were bad english speakers It was 2 days of hell! Made our trip feel so miserable

Good - Fab bed and very quiet, excellent location for my needs. Unexpected and not so good - Had to ask for things I imagined were standard like a kettle. I booked two rooms but they were on different floors and not initially recognised when booking in. Didn’t like the bathroom set up at all. Shower steps out into the bedroom area, sink is in the bedroom area, toilet is a box. No privacy with this set up at all. Was not cheap in price so i did expect more. It’s my first time in an ibis and I’m not likely to return really.

Very basic twin bed accommodation. Shower in the bedroom made sharing with teen child awkward as nowhere to dry/change privately. Mattress was uncomfortable and the TV reception made it almost unwatchable. Convenient for tram into Sheffield/out to Meadowhall. Would not book again.

Quick efficient check-in all the staff we spoke to were very polite directed straight to the car park after paying £7. Be aware there’s lots of street parking close by if you want to save yourself the parking fee whilst going to a concert. Rooms are very basic and very small. We booked a double room but had one with a bunkbed over the top of the double. No tea or coffee making facilities and paper cup on the sink which is inside the bedroom separate toilet cubicle and separate shower cubicle. All working and hot water in the shower, but it’s definitely a budget hotel. Bed is ok but again not the most comfy! Perfect location for the arena it’s 2 mins walk across the car park. We didn’t have breakfast so cant comment on that. Just a few tables in reception for this.

Rooms wayyyy too hot. Air cooling machine (there is no air condiitoning) was not working so i had to keep my window open overnight. However window barely opens. Furthermore, hotel is right next to a truck depot or factory or something, so very noisy overnight. Barely got any sleep.

Budget is definitely what you get! The staff, the secure parking, the front of house facilities and the breakfast…all great. The most important hotel facilities however, the bedrooms are poor to say the least. Starting with the mattress…thin (10cm) and uncomfortable..adding back ache to your tired body. The tv…small (24”) and unwatchable heavily pixelated BBC and ITV channels. Open plan bathroom giving no privacy to sharing colleagues. No kettle!! The only upside…great aircon

Arrived at 2.30pm only to be told the official check-in time wasn’t until 3pm but if we wanted to pay £20 we could have our room straight away! We declined your ‘offer’ to pay £20 and sat in reception for 30 minutes until we were ‘allowed’ to get the key for the room we had booked. What kind of customer service is that? The room was available for occupancy so what did you hope to gain by not giving us the room just 30 minutes early? Shocking behaviour in my opinion, absolutely terrible and will definitely put us off booking with Ibis in the future. Next time we stay in Sheffield we will look for a different hotel. And, if that wasn’t bad enough, while we were sat in Reception waiting for 3pm to come around, someone came and checked in at 2.50pm! “Rules are Rules” absolutely despicable on behalf of your reception.

The check in was quick and the front desk customer service I received was excellent. The room, and bathroom are clean, well maintained and comfortable, with an additional guest sofa bed. The WiFi connection is very good with work desk and space for luggage.

Did what it said on the tin. Comfortable bed, all the essentials. Staff very helpful & approachable. Only downside, was check in was extremely slow even after completing most of it on-line. Great for what we needed

Hotel in great location for Arena and EIS. Very clean and staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was compact but comfortable. It was great for the price. We had breakfast which was ok but very handy as we were in a rush. We will definitely use again.

Room really small window doesn’t shut so was so loud from the cars and was cold. Got woke up at 9am in the morning by a cleaning walking into my room unexpectedly and was really angry about that won’t be staying ever again!

It definitely is a budget hotel but if you need something close to the Arena it's perfect! Just a short walk from the hotel to the venue, and a bit further if you want Meadowhall etc. Very basic room but bed was clean & comfy and shower was powerful & hot. Breakfast included and perfectly adequate. All the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.

We were unaware that the lift was oit of order. Upon hearing a telephone conversation, i heard the staff say that everyone was contacted regarding the lift. Can i say we weren't at all. We were on the 4th floor, luckily we were ok with the stairs. But did they really let everyone know. The receptionist was very miserable as well. Not going back.

We stayed as we were going to The Arena for a concert and it was perfect, a 2 minute walk across the Car Park.The room was very basic, small and strangely laid out but it was perfectfor our needs. , The main bed was incredibly comfortable, the additional bed goes over the top of the main , we did not use it , the ladder did let the room down though ( it was not a problem for us but others may complain) paint peeling all off . Staff were lovely , helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was continental, Meats and cheeses , good selection of other things. There was a guest who inquired about Gluten free products but none were available so thats something to bear in mind. We would go back , not 5 star in the respect of a 5 star hotel but for the money it definitely a 5 form us. Thank you.

Rooms wayyyy too hot. Air cooling machine (there is no air condiitoning) was not working so i had to keep my window open overnight. However window barely opens. Furthermore, hotel is right next to a truck depot or factory or something, so very noisy overnight. Barely got any sleep.

Easy check in, clean hotel. The room is small but that was perfectly suited for a single person travelling for work. The breakfast was better than previous reviews have mentioned, they have a good selection of bread, pastry, cereals, fruits and cold meats, with a freshly ground beans coffee machine. They might not do fried up breakfast but that allows them to start the breakfast at 6:30am, which is much appreciated when travelling for work. They also have a microwave you can use during the day

It was the ease of getting to the Arena to see Lionel Ritchie. Parking although we were in the overflow car park, was cheaper and also better than Arena parking. Breakfast was really good choice and staff kept replenishing it all the time. Option to make a brew in your room wouldve been good though.

Very basis hotel for £190 a night due to being next to Sheffield arena. No cooked breakfast just toast cereal and hot drinks in paper cups. No iron in room or anything else I gave it 2 stars as it had a TV. Window wouldn’t shut and spent the night listening to foxes in the bins or the doggers in the carpark. But staff nice though and clean. Worth getting a room if it’s £30 a night you pay for what you get. Oh also had to pay the hotel £7 for the pleasure to park in its own carpark. Surprised I wasn’t charged per sheet of bog roll or for having a bed.

The twin room is actually a bunk bed! That is not what was expected or advertised. So it’s dishonest. The breakfast is cold meats etc, nothing hot. Again, for the price it should be a cooked breakfast. Felt stitched up.

The room was clean and staff were lovely, but the breakfast options are limited to cold food (besides toast). There was lots of ants coming in under the door in the breakfast area, even ants on syrup bottles by the food.

Room was clean but bed sheets were dirty there were some colouring marks on the bed sheet during my stay for 4 nights they never changed the bed sheets or pillow covers. Room was too small with tiny window worse thing is they charge for parking which i haven't seen during the booking process but at the end I had to pay £7 or £8 per night to use hotel own car park.

Room was alright, will do for a single night - breakfast was abysmal, poor options, poor flow and difficult to get food, charging for coffee from the machines, ridiculous. Parking was a bit of a pisstake too.

The room was very nice and clean, staff were helpful. The only annoying thing is there is no kettle or tea/coffee in the room and there was an additional charge for hot drinks at the reception for £1.95 which isn't that much but it soon mounts up. That's the only downside of the hotel.

Lift was broken, but luckily only on the second floor. No offer of help with luggage. Room was basic with no kettle or hairdryer. Really convenient for the Arena and only a short tram ride to Meadowhall. Would consider staying again, but would depend on who I was travelling with as the only way out of the shower was into the room, and there wasn't enough room in there to get dressed.
