We had a spacious and comfortable clean room. The facilities were good, although the jacuzzi didn’t work properly. The food was very good. Good range of buffet style breakfast. Coffee machine kept breaking down but other coffee was available. Drinks rather pricey but probably standard for a hotel. Grounds very picturesque and peaceful.

The gym equipment old and didn’t work properly, changing rooms were filthy. Breakfast options poor and boring. Room was ok. When my key didn’t work on the second day, I asked the housekeeping staff near by if she could help me , her response “go to reception “ and carried on with what she was doing. I won’t be staying here again.

We were sceptical after some of the bad reviews, however it was clean, fast check-in and out, bedrooms had fans and hairdryers, rooms a little dated and could do with an update, but good size, and has everything we needed. The breakfast was good and had plenty of choice. We used the spa, pool was warm, jacuzzi out of action, but we enjoyed the 2 hours we spent in it none the less.

Lovely hotel with great amenities and wonderful staff. Biggest issue is the Tesla chargers don’t work ! Please get these replaced or repaired. Food and pool are just perfect for a nice weekend away.

The drive/entrance to the hotel promised a pleasant stay. But we were disappointed overall once checked in. For starters, one of the lifts was out of order, we were also told the hotel jacuzzi wasn't working either. Then bedroom decor was dated and tired, some nasty stains on the carpet, bed poorly made (you could see the matress showing as the sheet wasn't tucked in at all; one tiny pillow for a king sized bed looked ridiculous, and no spare blankets or pillows in case needed which you usually get in other hotels. Things got considerably worse in the dining room. We'd booked our table OK, the place was less than half full. Then we looked at the menu.. I'd checked the hotel's version online when I'd booked and it looked contemporary, so influenced my decision to book. However, I don't know how out of date it was but the actual menu was like that of a Berni Inn's! Pretty much very basic pub fare only. Then the waiting staff left a lot to be desired. We kept hearing the word 'sorry' from them to guests, wine orders took ages to arrive - one couple received theirs after their meal had already arrived. I was totally underwhelmed with the food choice, so opted for fish - only to find the last portion had already been sold. So in desperation, opted for the child portion of fish gougons (which were actually jumbo-sized fish fingers in batter). I'd asked for tartare sauce but that was forgotten too. We avoided the breakfast we'd paid for and couldn't wait to leave :(

Nice hotel. Comfortable room. Dinner was good. i did not have breakfast. Nice pool & gym facilities. would have been better without the kids swimming lesson going on. Found out afterwards i could have paid to join a Pilates class, but this was badly advertised.

Had sold out of the room that we had booked so got downgraded. They did ‘upgrade’ us to the booked level of room for the next night however the room was very dirty with lots of cobwebs and even bird poo on the window sill inside the room!

Had a lovely time. The staff were very helpful. We had a nice room. The bed was comfortable but a little soft for us. Very hot rooms. We turned off the heating and opened the windows. A lot of Mold, spiders and cobwebs around the windows. The pool area was great. We had slippers and robes provided, very helpful for walking to the pool. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all, would have preferred table service.

We very much enjoyed our stay, from the friendly and helpful staff, to the comfort of the bedroom, the use of the spa area and the delicious breakfast. Yes the hotel is a little tired but in no way would that spoil the stay there, barely noticeable due to the luxurious Chesterfield sofas and chairs in the bar and foyer area....a perfect place to catch up and relax with friends.

Mould on tiles in shower surround of bath filthy taps for shower had dirt and mould on them reported to management no action taken stains on carpet in room coffee table had a lot of damage on it writing table stained carpet overall condition of room was. Very poor will never. Stay at this hotel again worse experience I have ever had and I have been staying in hotels 50 years

The lady who checked us in was evry abrupt and disinterested. As if we shouldnt be there. Yet when greeting the gentleman after us this was totally different. The room was absolutely disgusting. Very dirty as if it hadnt been cleaned for a long time. Also very very noisy all night with a loud humming. Not sure if this was a heating system or not. But the room was freezing on arrival. Fridge in room is lovely if it worked. Person in neighbouring room playing music until very late. The room booked was a double. Two singles pushed together is not acceptable. Inable to sleep close to my huaband due to the big gap in the middle. The hotel was much worse than a premier inn or travelodge and you dont expect this.

It looks better from outside than inside. The place needs some proper TLC, rooms are quite dated with stains on furniture and table so chipped that it felt it’s been picked from the dump. Lumpy pillows need replacing. In overall - pretty average stay for quite a pricey room.

We had stayed here before using an internet discount offer and the room was excellent. We again took advantage of a cheaper rate offer for a 2 night stay in the area but the room was awful. It was incredibly small with only just enough room to walk around the end and side of the bed and the décor was tired and worn, The window only had a very small opening and although there was an electric fan provided it was incredibly hot during the night. The window sill was completely rotten. The drain in the sink and shower was partially blocked with a disgusting mix of hair and grease and both took ages to drain the water, and the shower nearly overflowed. The bathroom extractor fan was so noisy we had to turn it off at night. Even considering the discount price the room was well below what we expected and I doubt we would take the risk of booking again.

Justo be very nice hotel. Now - unacceptable dirty. Bathrooms really bad. First night even my bed sheets and cover didn’t been changed. Just after I completed- they fixed bed but bathroom was still left Next day was different room. Bathroom the same and my last day - different room - the same issues. Shocking. Manager didn’t care too, room didn’t swap on first night and second evening when I seen manager - I told when would like to talk- answe was “I’m busy, see you later” after about 2,5 h waiting no one come to see me. I was in hotel with my colleague and it’s was embarrassing stay! Never again

Very nice hotel. Room was spacious and had a nice bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use it but the swimming pool looked really nice. Cricket ground is an easy walk away.

The room was very basic for the price. Very, very hot room with frosted windows. Couldnt open the window any more as there was a lock. There was 2 fans in the room and we needed to use both.

The hotel was excellent and staff wonderful. The only reason for marking a 4 rather than a 5 is the bed and bedding. The "double" bed was just two singles pushed together (although there was a hook on the base for joining them it didn't reach), the bedding was just a thin flat sheet which was too small to remain tucked in around the beds, especially when the single beds moved apart. I found the lack of mattress and pillow protectors very strange for such a nice quality hotel.

The allocated room 503, was on the top floor. The floor gradient sloped from left to right, and at night as I suffer from vertigo, meant I fell over several times. Due to the hot weather, the top floor temperatures were unbearable at night, even with the window open. The very narrow staircase to the top floor, meant it was very difficult to navigate the stairs with luggage. On our previous trip with the same package, the room was fantastic, no complaints. I would definitely recommend that anyone staying in Room 503 check the room out before agreeing to stay there. Cleanliness and cleaning staff were brilliant but the room itself made our stay unenjoyable.

Nice entrance and plenty of parking. Our room was quite nice but extremely hot and the fan only blew the air around instead of cooling. Windows only opened a tiny bit for safety I pressume but I hardly slept both nights and had to have a cool shower at 4am! Food average. Highlight was the pool was great.

Overall good hotel, BUT breakfast finishing at 9am is a joke and the receptionist in check out was one of the rudest people I have dealt with form a hotel check out. For me to return I’d want a later breakfast option say 10am and a more pleasant staff member on check out.

I would like to complaint aboout the service me and my parner recieved yesterdays at the Sprowston Manor Hotel. We arrived at 2:30 pm but understanding check -in hour was at 3pmwe went to the bar. 3 oclock we did the check in. Ive reserved a double bedroom city view and sent to a hidiouse room at the far back of the hotel. The lobby was full of durty linin but my assigned bedroom had dust everywhere and the toilet bin hadnts been emptied. Weve went back to recepcion and assigned a “better and cleaed room” on the same floor, staring to the air condicionate vents( só much for the city view). Make note i’ve booked this staying to celebrate my parners birthday, with a nice spay day and stay. After we settle in the room, went to spa desk to book some treatments, no one to be seen. 4 oclock, the girls is there but no slots available as they were short staffed and would finish at 6. The heated pool área is shared whit swiming classes, living 2 lanes available for the spa users. When asking a staff where to have a drink near the spa área, was sent to a closed bar. We’ve checked out the property at 6:30, and asked if we could have the breakfast refund? They informed us you Expedia should address this.

This is fourth time I’ve stayed here and it gets worse every time. The location is great and the grounds pretty but the rooms are shabby and neglected. Chipped coffee table with rings and stains. Worn scratchy towels and bedding. Windows that are stuck in one place, dusty net curtains. I was staying for seven nights, requested housekeeping after four days , no one ever came. I went down got sheets and towels and bought cleaning stuff for bathroom. When I went down and asked about it the second time , they said they were very busy. Staff were not very welcoming and I never saw a smile from them even though we were very excited to be staying as had flown over from the USA. Golf shop were helpful and friendly.

Convenient location for us to visit relatives living in Norwich. Unfortunately not able to have dinner at the hotel because it had been previously booked every night by a coach party. I think we should have been informed of this at the time of booking.

The team at reception and at the restaurant (dinner, breakfast) were professionals and very kind. There is a big issue with housekeeping : we stayed with a baby during 5 nights and we had to show we were upset: then they cleand our room ! In fact they never used the vacuum (but we asked for because the room was very dusty ) snd they made the befs only once in 5 nights !!!! 200 euro per night : the cleaning doesn’t deserve this money !!!!

My recent experience at Sprowston Manor Hotel in Norwich left much to be desired, as several issues marred what should have been a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short of expectations in various aspects starting with check-in where they confirmed the booking had been shortened by one night but were unable to change the booking and thus had to charge me for the whole stay promising to refund the extra nights stay on check out. This is not worry me to start with as one assumed you could charge bar bills and extras to your account. HOW wrong I was every transaction was paid for no normal hotel account was possible. The cleanliness of the rooms was a major letdown, I must stress I am referring to the issue that the hotel staff are not allowed by HEAD OFFICE policy to enter your room during your stay. This means on a extended stay of several nights floors not cleaned or hoovered, sinks not cleaned, toilets not cleaned etc. The failure to maintain a clean and sanitary environment was not only disappointing but also unacceptable from a luxury hotel. Moreover, the hotel failed to adhere to its own policies of asking guests to leave full bins, cups and dirty towles outside the hotel room. They stated that they would be removed and replaced with fresh ones. This policy causes a unsightly atmosphere and left guests questioning the basic standards of cleanliness and service. The drive/entrance to the hotel promised a pleasant stay. But we were disappointed overall once checked in. For starters, one of the lifts was out of order, we were also told the hotel jacuzzi wasn't working either. Then bedroom decor was dated and tired, some nasty stains on the carpet, bed poorly made (you could see the matress showing as the sheet wasn't tucked in at all; one tiny pillow for a king sized bed looked ridiculous, and no spare blankets or pillows in case needed which you usually get in other hotels. Things got considerably worse in the dining room. We'd booked our table OK, the place was less than half full. Then we looked at the menu.. I'd checked the hotel's version online when I'd booked and it looked contemporary, so influenced my decision to book. However, I don't know how out of date it was but the actual menu was like that of a Berni Inn's! Pretty much very basic pub fare only. Then the waiting staff left a lot to be desired. We kept hearing the word 'sorry' from them to guests, wine orders took ages to arrive - one couple received theirs after their meal had already arrived. I was totally underwhelmed with the food choice, so opted for fish - only to find the last portion had already been sold. So in desperation, opted for the child portion of fish gougons (which were actually jumbo-sized fish fingers in batter). I'd asked for tartare sauce but that was forgotten too. We avoided the breakfast we'd paid for and couldn't wait to leave :(

Great location, superior quality hotel. The room was well appointed and spacious, and the bed was not only huge but extremely comfortable. The staff are reserved, but helpfull and friendly. Lovely grounds, pleasant restaurant and great value breakfast buffet. The pool and leisure facilities were also superb. A refreshing and relaxing stay in very pleasant surroundings.

This is a beautiful Manor House set in lovely grounds. It is a 10 minute drive into Norwich. We were in a top floor room (no lifts) and it was very quiet in the hotel. There was a wedding but the music quietened around 11pm and didn’t disturb sleep. The evening menu was good, but quality not quite as expected, and more vegan desert options would be good. That and a safe place for bikes to be stored would have made it 5 star

Used hotel for years but this time hotel showed it needs urgent tlc, all very tired. Breakfast ok but eve meal menu so limited. Limited is ok if whats served was top notch but it wasnt. Our main meals were just about average and peas were like bullets. Was expensive for what we had. Desserts were the better course. As regular visitor we like the loaction and it has a lovely pool, shame the jacuzzi doesn't ever work properly. Dont like to complain but the management need to consider some investment to the beautiful hotel

We had booked in the restaurant but not told that we had to be seated exactly at 8.30! They stopped serving at 8.45 and we got there at 8.45 having been sat in the bar and were told the restaurant was closed! Found a very nice Indian nearby. Booked breakfast for 9am only to find empty baskets and a cold cooked breakfast!

We very much enjoyed our stay, from the friendly and helpful staff, to the comfort of the bedroom, the use of the spa area and the delicious breakfast. Yes the hotel is a little tired but in no way would that spoil the stay there, barely noticeable due to the luxurious Chesterfield sofas and chairs in the bar and foyer area....a perfect place to catch up and relax with friends.

We have stayed here before and had a great experience but unfortunately this time we had a very small room (16) - at full price. The door hit the bed as you went in and you could barely get around one side of the bed. The shower couldn’t be changed from red hot - we won’t stay here again.

Location is good, 10 mins from city centre, £11/£15 taxi fare. Bed really comfy, room layout ok, but stains on the carpet, old food debri on bedside draws and underneath shower drain cap lots of old shower hairs. Golf clubhouse location great to chill watching the golf, food and beverages good, staff very nice and help full. Hotel bar not great, do not do any cocktails and last orders called at 22-45 bar shutters down at 22-55 Breakfast at £29 each way too expensive, did not eat in the restaurant as lots of great restaurants in Norwich to eat. Have never stayed in a hotel where the bar closes this early and whilst guests still liking to have a drink. In general hotel room looked a bit tired in need of refurbishment, bar area felt much the same. Disappointed with the overall stay for the price we paid.
Location is good, 10 mins from city centre, £11/£15 taxi fare. Bed really comfy, room layout ok, but stains on the carpet, old food debri on bedside draws and underneath shower drain cap lots of old shower hairs. Golf clubhouse location great to chill watching the golf, food and beverages good, staff very nice and help full. Hotel bar not great, do not do any cocktails and last orders called at 22-45 bar shutters down at 22-55 Breakfast at £29 each way too expensive, did not eat in the restaurant as lots of great restaurants in Norwich to eat. Have never stayed in a hotel where the bar closes this early and whilst guests still liking to have a drink.
