The staff were excellent breakfast had a lot of choice on offer. Also a friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble if you wanted information. Think the only thing is the car park which is the only downfall but overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this Hotel

Absolutely fantastic stay. I arrived quite late and when I walked through the door I was greeted by name and they had my check in documents all ready for me. The kitchen was still open so I had a lovely meal. The fish and chips were phenomenal; beautifully light batter, nice soft fish. I had my dinner on the terrace looking at the sea and it was delightful. Every member of staff, both in the restaurant and reception, were friendly, helpful and efficient. I loved the vintage lift to get to the third floor; I’ve never heard one of those before so it was fun. The room was clean, if a little dated, the bed was comfy and it was exceptionally quiet. The partial sea view was a bonus. I had an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious and again I sat on the terrace and looked at the sea. I had a lovely walk along the beach after and it was so peaceful. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone and everyone I know who may go to Great Yarmouth. Highly recommend. Just delightful.

The Hotel is inviting and the staff are absolutely lovely, nothing is too much trouble. We had a sea view - stunning, quiet and clean, with a bed that is as big as a boat. Breakfast included and Hubby loved the sausages, great choice, Evening meal and Afternoon Tea, sandwiches and a drink in the bar - all beautifully cooked, presentation excellent. Clipper open top bus stops just up from the Hotel, there is parking on site. Will book again loved it best stay in Great Yarmouth

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff could not be more helpful. We drove up in my electric car and there was 2 spaces to use the charger which is a great help whilst staying there. Unfortunately they were not working the next evening but would be a good unique selling point for electric car users.

Staff were excellent and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Decor was tired and the carpets needed a goo clean. Comfortable rooms and beds, slept really well.

This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean, and was serviced every day with biscuits and hot drinks replenished every day. This appears to be an hotel used and enjoyed by local people and one can see why. Breakfasts were marvellous. Finally, what a fascinating old lift, we loved it.

A room with a lovely view over the sea, hotel is next to the beach ( need to cross a road, but that is no problem. Plenty of parking. Room was very clean trouser press, iron and ironing board and hair dryers all in the room. No fridge. Room was only 15m square, ( as described), any smaller would have felt cramped. We had dinner on the terrace, food was good and sensibly priced. I had bavette steak with a herb sauce, nicely cooked, but the cook had been very generous with the pepper on the steak. My wife had grilled sea trout, we were expecting a whole or half a fish, but it was only a slice. It was plenty to eat and tasty, but the menu was slightly misleading. Breakfast on the terrace on the first day was kipper ( and we received only a fried kipper, no sauce or tomatoe It felt a little dry, maybe we should have asked for sauces or tomatoes as well? Next day we had the full English breakfast, which was excellent.

Chose this hotel by chance. What a fantastic hotel. Staff were excellent. Premises was clean throughout. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Can not fault this stay and will definitely be going back.

First time at this hotel for us it is very dated but is spotlessly clean Rooms are a nice size with a very comfortable bed and pillows nice walk in shower We did get woke early by other guests returning early hours opening and banging doors but that can happen at any hotel Great air con heating in rooms Nice breakfast on offer served by great all friendly Staff On the whole a nice hotel and would deffo use again

Generally a very good hotel. Bathroom lacked shelving for toiletries and there was no Aircon but for this age of hotel aircon should not really be expected. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet toward the back of the hotel. Location is excellent within walking distance of everything. Food was excellent with fantastic restaurant under the hotel and breakfast on the terrace in the morning. Sunday lunch was outstanding. Recommend highly.

Great service from friendly and helpful staff, which makes it special. Good location near seafront without being noisy. Room decor not quite to our taste (a bit dated) and the ironwork on the tiny balcony a bit shabby but that did nothing to spoil it for us really. All the important stuff like the service, the food and cleanliness was spot on.

We had a WONDEFUL stay. I have to admit, when we arrived, we were not at all sure, but within a short period of time, it became very apparent that we had made a good choice. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and a huge bed, very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant most evenings, save one (which was a terrible mistake, btw), but he next evening we were back at the Balcony Restaurant, where the service & food were impeccable. Staff all around were ever so friendly and helpful, which can be half the battle these days. They were all local and their knowledge and advice on all things Yarmouth were appreciated. Breakfast. If you can, add the Breakfasts to your package. They are 100% super value and the choice and quality is second to none. You will not find better, anywhere! All in all a well run, family hotel with traditional values and quality that is very rare these days. For what you get, it is very good value and you will find yourself wanting to go back again and again! Thank You to all at the Imperial for making our 4 day stay such a pleasant one!

Felt ripped off, dark room due to tiny window overlooking the building next door. Bathroom tiny like a downstairs toilet. Loads of noise from the athletic track behind was a huge racket even with window closed. Not for me unfortunately

We had a very comfortable stay. The bed was very restful and the water pressure for the shower was perfect. The rooms have a traditional vibe but having stayed in rooms with fancy marble bathrooms which leaked all over the place, or alternately froze or scalded you, this bathroom was a dream. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is generous and tasty. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent service as usual, staff, very nice, very helpful, always happy lovely group of people in the bar, the restaurant and the reception area, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Right from arriving to leaving we couldnt find a single fault. Staff are all friendly and helpful, breakfast was superb. We ate both nights of our stay in The Terrace restaurant and both meals were delicious. Brilliant hotel.

Absolutely fantastic stay. I arrived quite late and when I walked through the door I was greeted by name and they had my check in documents all ready for me. The kitchen was still open so I had a lovely meal. The fish and chips were phenomenal; beautifully light batter, nice soft fish. I had my dinner on the terrace looking at the sea and it was delightful. Every member of staff, both in the restaurant and reception, were friendly, helpful and efficient. I loved the vintage lift to get to the third floor; I’ve never heard one of those before so it was fun. The room was clean, if a little dated, the bed was comfy and it was exceptionally quiet. The partial sea view was a bonus. I had an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious and again I sat on the terrace and looked at the sea. I had a lovely walk along the beach after and it was so peaceful. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone and everyone I know who may go to Great Yarmouth. Highly recommend. Just delightful.

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean, very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. I would definitely recommend it.

The Hotel is inviting and the staff are absolutely lovely, nothing is too much trouble. We had a sea view - stunning, quiet and clean, with a bed that is as big as a boat. Breakfast included and Hubby loved the sausages, great choice, Evening meal and Afternoon Tea, sandwiches and a drink in the bar - all beautifully cooked, presentation excellent. Clipper open top bus stops just up from the Hotel, there is parking on site. Will book again loved it best stay in Great Yarmouth

A room with a lovely view over the sea, hotel is next to the beach ( need to cross a road, but that is no problem. Plenty of parking. Room was very clean trouser press, iron and ironing board and hair dryers all in the room. No fridge. Room was only 15m square, ( as described), any smaller would have felt cramped. We had dinner on the terrace, food was good and sensibly priced. I had bavette steak with a herb sauce, nicely cooked, but the cook had been very generous with the pepper on the steak. My wife had grilled sea trout, we were expecting a whole or half a fish, but it was only a slice. It was plenty to eat and tasty, but the menu was slightly misleading. Breakfast on the terrace on the first day was kipper ( and we received only a fried kipper, no sauce or tomatoe It felt a little dry, maybe we should have asked for sauces or tomatoes as well? Next day we had the full English breakfast, which was excellent.

Chose this hotel by chance. What a fantastic hotel. Staff were excellent. Premises was clean throughout. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Can not fault this stay and will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely time, but we’re surprised this was a 4 star, as we’ve stayed in 3 star hotels that were more luxurious. (I understand now that 4 stars can be due to extra facilities such as the conference rooms, but given that we were on a couple’s break this had no relevance to us). The room was very clean and I loved the branded seaside mugs, and the marine curtains. The corridors and reception however let this hotel down as being dated. Think Fawlty Towers without the faultiness. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. My eggs Benedict was incredibly salty, but clearly it wasn’t that much of a problem as I didn’t leave any! One thing that troubled us was that we popped in to the terrace for a takeaway flat white coffee for our walk. We’re almost certain it was an instant Nescafe! Might as well have been hot water. Very pleasant stay otherwise - who can fail to be cheered by a seaview.

What a surprise this Hotel is, fantastic service and staff. However the star of the show is the Food. This hotel has clearly got a team of Chefs who know what their doing, and can clearly cook. Outstanding visit, we will be back.

As I filled in the check in form online before arrival, the whole process took literally a couple of seconds. The staff were very polite and answered all our questions. We had a set menu dinner at The Terrace hotel restaurant - very reasonable price and top quality food, we had all three courses. Good selection of wine also. Next morning we had breakfast- again, plenty of choice and service

This is a classic, British seaside hotel with an excellent level of customer service. Plenty of choice at breakfast- all is cooked fresh to order. Lovely terrace. I would highly recommend.

Our double room was comfortable and air conditioned which was helpful on hot days and nights. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and great service from staff. We had dinner there a couple of times and the food was excellent.
