Nothing going on at the hotel, restaurants weren’t open, no entertainment! 2 lovely pool areas with not enough umbrellas and one without access to a bar. The hotel itself is nice, staff are friendly and it’s convenient for both the parks and Salou centre.

Bon hôtel pour séjour en couple, les services sont assez bon (le ménage est fait quotidiennement, la nourriture est variée et de bonne qualité), le cadre est joli avec une très belle vue sur les piscines et le parc port aventura en arrière plan. Autrement le personnel est agréable et parle anglais/français, un parking gratuit est à disposition et le parc est a 15 minutes à pied. Seul bémol, chambre mal isolée, si votre chambre se trouve dans le passage, vous risquez d'avoir du bruit. Dernier point, le spa est payant, du coup c'est un peu dommage de payer un accès et de ne pas pouvoir se relaxer pleinement car des enfants ont décidé de faire des bombes dans la piscine chauffée et le personnel ne semble pas s'en préoccuper.

Staying at the Caribe Hotel was lovely. They had 2 pools to choose from, whereby one was beach themed. The food was really nice and they had a great selection. You could walk to the theme park which was ideal. The only downside was that there were no trolleys to help take your luggage to your room which would have been nice.

Very clean property, with sone oddities. Difficult to find snacks specifically water after bars close in the evening. We struggled to find a vending machine that sold any soft drinks or water, cigarettes and park tickets were available though. Also there us an indiorbpool, but was closed until 18:00pm and was an extra charge of €10 per person. Otherwise generally nice pools with a man made beach.

Was very disappointed with the water feature between the two pools, it was dirty, green sludge, it could have been made beautiful with fountains and illumination, instead it was a breading ground for midges and mosquitos - really spoiled the look and ambiance of the hotel, It was nothing like the pictures portrayed. Was disappointed at having to pay extra to use the water park which cost another 125 Euros on top of what we had already paid. Disappointed that we had to pre-book dinner and breakfast slots, and only had 40 minutes to eat and go for breakfast, and an hour for dinner. Felt like you had to rush your food and get out quickly ready for the next load of people to come in. This also meant, that you had to plan your days around your meal times, which impacted which shows you could or could not get to see in the Parks during the evening. It really did limit our freedom to come and go, it was very restrictive. Spent 20 Euros to store luggage before our rooms were ready - have never had to pay store luggage at any hotels ever before, This was not a genuine 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star, it was a bit run down, the best part was the two swimming pools, but that was it. No entertainment during the day, and only a mini disco at night for children. Accommodation layout reminded us of Butlins chalets.

Reasonably priced, nice pools, but quite basic and not 4 star in my opinion. Basic rooms that are tired with smelly and basic bathrooms. Sunloungets by the pool are old plastic loungers and uncomfortable. Strange rules like you cannot wear sunglasses in the pool unless you have bands around your head to keep them in place. Never experienced this anywhere in the world. Lifeguards enforce this rule, I guess for safety, yet you allow guests to have glassware at the side of the pool? People drinking beer out of glass mugs. Crazy! Service at pool bar was poor. 25 minutes to get a hot dog, and then the drinks machine wasn’t working. Also, they advertise a gym but it doesn’t open until 6pm!? What!? Ridiculous. Most people workout on a morning so this is a stupid rule and as such meant I could not use the gym. False advertising. I would not go back, instead I’d probably go to the main PortAventura hotel which I think is much better and worth the extra money.

Bastante mal todo. Normalmente venimos al mismo hotel (Club San Juan) del Hotel Caribe unas 3 veces al año, pero cada vez está peor. Premetto che io sono al quinto mese di gravidanza ed avevamo altri due bambini (di 8 e 11 anni) in viaggio con noi. Abbiamo prenotato tramite Expedia. Accoglienza al check in pessima: nessuna spiegazione sul funzionamento dell’hotel, del parco e di tutti gli altri servizi di cui si poteva fruire; li abbiamo scoperti da soli chiedendo qua e là o facendo ricerche su internet. Al nostro arrivo, alle ore 01:30 di notte ci assegnano una stanza piano terra: la stanza era sporca (peli e capelli ovunque, sabbia e polvere), piena di insetti tipo scarafaggi e con la biancheria visibilmente non cambiata. Senza aprire le valigie chiediamo quindi che venga cambiata stanza. Ci spediscono dopo mezz’ora all’Hotel El Paso. Il giorno dopo ci assegnano una nuova stanza, che ha confermato la sporcizia dell’hotel: per 4 persone due asciugamani piccoli e 4 grandi, pulizie giornaliere inesistenti. Tutti i ristoranti chiusi eccetto uno. Veramente una pessima esperienza.

Check in was not easy, hotel sent me an email before arrival but was in spanish and I cannot read spanish. On arrival i was told i should have checked in online and to wait. 25 minutes later, we checked in.. it was a very slow process, there were staff but they did not seem to want to help. Room was booked for 4, but set up for 2.. 2 towels, 2 pillows etc, I called reception 4 times to ask for extra and no one answered. I wandered down and was told someone would bring the requested items.. we went for a dip in the pool, 1.45 mins later headed back to the room, no extra towels/ bedding was there, having 3 kids, and two towels you can imagine there would be no towels left that were useable so I headed back to the reception and was told someone was on their way so I braved a shower, in the hope I would have a towel, 40 mins later.. no towel..i used a sopping wet one. Room was very old, bathroom wasnt at all clean, there were ants on the floor every morning.. I dont think it was a 4 star standard. We only stayed for 3 nights but I would have been disappointed if i had booked for a week or longer.. good points, breakfast was nice but you have to book a time slot which I was not told but realised after seeing a sign near the restaurant in Spanish and asked. We only used the pool once, we intended to on day 3 before we left but was told there are no facilities to show after so couldnt. Salou is lovely and we will be back, just not to this hotel

La estadia ha sido buena en general, estuvimos alojados 4 noches una familia con dos niños. Las comidas de media pensión son excelentes, nuy variada y bien hecha. Hôtel non conforme à un 4 étoile. La salle de sport, spa (piscine couverte et jacuzzi), sont payants, et pour un accès de 18h à 22h ! Les serviettes de plage sont également payantes. Un proposant un buffet, où il faut faire la queue pour rentrer, le temps pour dîner est chronométré (40 min), la salle est pleine, attention à la bousculade devant le buffet ! Idem pour le petit déjeuner, il est servi dans la même salle du buffet, le temps est chronométré, file d’attente interminable. Cette pratique est lamentable, nous devons avoir le temps pour profiter des divers repas, de plus en période de vacances. A noter, le reçu pour paiement est sur la table lors de votre arrivée au restaurant ! Durant notre séjour de 7 nuits, le ménage n’a pas été fait deux fois, le gel douche et shampoing vident et non remplie par la femme de ménage. Checkin was efficient in terms of taking details and giving passes. No detail on the hotel, restaurant, bar and pool was given. I asked what time the hotel restaurants close - was told 10pm. That night we found out only the mobbed buffet restaurant was open. Not an issue if we had known as we would have gone elsewhere. So service at reception needs to be looked at. The hotel pool and communal areas are lovely - the rooms let the hotel down. They need updating and the bathrooms renovated. Towels in the bathroom were threadbare.TV had very few channels, not even bbc worldwide. I would go back, but I’d be wary if the price you pay and what’s open - we travelled in peak (July). Overall a good 3 star option - def not a 4 star as the rooms let the property down.

Hotel très beaux de l’extérieur mais la chambre est très vieille, la salle de bain dans état regrettable, le sofa dans la chambre est inutilisable, la literie était correcte , au restaurant le buffet est à revoir, non varié , presque la même chose tout les soirs, …. Personnel gentil est accueillant, c’est le point fort de l’hôtel.

Terrible experience with this hotel. It is not our first stay here and we had an amazing memories from last time. However, this time it was a complete fail. First of all, rooms are so outdated and worn. In the first room sockets and table lamps were not working. We asked to change the room and got the room with not working shower and falling metal handles. Secondly, rooms are dirty. We stayed 5 nights and the floor was not properly mopped in any of them. All furniture was dusty and filthy. Overall impression of the hotel was - old and worn. Doesn’t worth the money at all I have mixed feelings about service. Some people were trying to help but the effectiveness of their help was poor. Most people do not speak English (however the description of the hotel suggests they speak many languages). The check in was horrible, we shall wait for our room for half an hour after check in time. Next day before we moved to another room, we were kinda “homeless” until 3.30pm. Which I don’t believe was fair as we paid for this time to have access to the room and not just to stay in limbo. Of course, we did not receive any of the VIP benefits. No discount was applied or even offered. No room upgrades. It was funny as we checked Expedia and saw rooms available but reception ignored it and said - no, we cannot give them. Well, then do not promise upgrades. And a very small thing. No transfer to the park from the hotel. You need to walk about 15 minutes under the sun. Small but annoying thing

Pool closed for the season, and €10 for access to Wellness Center. Waste of money, cold jacuzzi and sauna was out of order. Noisy in the Buffet Restaurant. Over 30 mins of waiting to access booked breakfast time. Thin walls between the rooms, so woken up early to banging bed from room next door... The couple next door had a better morning at least.

Reasonably priced, nice pools, but quite basic and not 4 star in my opinion. Basic rooms that are tired with smelly and basic bathrooms. Sunloungets by the pool are old plastic loungers and uncomfortable. Strange rules like you cannot wear sunglasses in the pool unless you have bands around your head to keep them in place. Never experienced this anywhere in the world. Lifeguards enforce this rule, I guess for safety, yet you allow guests to have glassware at the side of the pool? People drinking beer out of glass mugs. Crazy! Service at pool bar was poor. 25 minutes to get a hot dog, and then the drinks machine wasn’t working. Also, they advertise a gym but it doesn’t open until 6pm!? What!? Ridiculous. Most people workout on a morning so this is a stupid rule and as such meant I could not use the gym. False advertising. I would not go back, instead I’d probably go to the main PortAventura hotel which I think is much better and worth the extra money.

Premetto che io sono al quinto mese di gravidanza ed avevamo altri due bambini (di 8 e 11 anni) in viaggio con noi. Abbiamo prenotato tramite Expedia. Accoglienza al check in pessima: nessuna spiegazione sul funzionamento dell’hotel, del parco e di tutti gli altri servizi di cui si poteva fruire; li abbiamo scoperti da soli chiedendo qua e là o facendo ricerche su internet. Al nostro arrivo, alle ore 01:30 di notte ci assegnano una stanza piano terra: la stanza era sporca (peli e capelli ovunque, sabbia e polvere), piena di insetti tipo scarafaggi e con la biancheria visibilmente non cambiata. Senza aprire le valigie chiediamo quindi che venga cambiata stanza. Ci spediscono dopo mezz’ora all’Hotel El Paso. Il giorno dopo ci assegnano una nuova stanza, che ha confermato la sporcizia dell’hotel: per 4 persone due asciugamani piccoli e 4 grandi, pulizie giornaliere inesistenti. Tutti i ristoranti chiusi eccetto uno. Veramente una pessima esperienza.

Check in was not easy, hotel sent me an email before arrival but was in spanish and I cannot read spanish. On arrival i was told i should have checked in online and to wait. 25 minutes later, we checked in.. it was a very slow process, there were staff but they did not seem to want to help. Room was booked for 4, but set up for 2.. 2 towels, 2 pillows etc, I called reception 4 times to ask for extra and no one answered. I wandered down and was told someone would bring the requested items.. we went for a dip in the pool, 1.45 mins later headed back to the room, no extra towels/ bedding was there, having 3 kids, and two towels you can imagine there would be no towels left that were useable so I headed back to the reception and was told someone was on their way so I braved a shower, in the hope I would have a towel, 40 mins later.. no towel..i used a sopping wet one. Room was very old, bathroom wasnt at all clean, there were ants on the floor every morning.. I dont think it was a 4 star standard. We only stayed for 3 nights but I would have been disappointed if i had booked for a week or longer.. good points, breakfast was nice but you have to book a time slot which I was not told but realised after seeing a sign near the restaurant in Spanish and asked. We only used the pool once, we intended to on day 3 before we left but was told there are no facilities to show after so couldnt. Salou is lovely and we will be back, just not to this hotel

Servicio en general terrible, muy inflexibles con el check out, hotel de 4* que realmente parece de 2*. Instalaciones viejas y desactualizadas. Servicio de comedor muy genérico y mediocre. En general no se le hace la vida más fácil al turista, no es una experiencia acorde a todo lo que cuesta.

Hotel cerca del parque pero como es cuesta arriba se tarda casi 20 min en acceder(con carrito bebe) A los niños le gustó mucho la piscina de arena El buffet bastante bueno y el personal agradable,nos ubicaron siempre sin problema (eramos 18!),variado había donde elegir El personal de recepción un poco antipático sobre todo por los modos(hacia comentarios en catalán como si no les entendiesemos),en cambio seguridad amables.

The stay was amazing. Kids loved every part of it. From breakfast to pool time. It was amazing. We will be back at portaventura Hotel Caribe. The staff at the breakfast time was so lovely and helpful. Even with the language barrier they catered to our requirements. A chef called “Monica” at the pancake station made my daughter fall in love with the pancakes. She made her flower shaped and Minnie shaped pancakes and my daughter who is a fussy eater kept going for more! The day we were leaving that lady still remembered us and was offering to make my daughter her favourite pancakes despite being so busy at the station. Her little action of affection made my daughter so happy. She (Monica) deserves all the appreciation and recognition for her lovely personality. Thanks a lot Monica, we will always remember you.

Reasonably priced, nice pools, but quite basic and not 4 star in my opinion. Basic rooms that are tired with smelly and basic bathrooms. Sunloungets by the pool are old plastic loungers and uncomfortable. Strange rules like you cannot wear sunglasses in the pool unless you have bands around your head to keep them in place. Never experienced this anywhere in the world. Lifeguards enforce this rule, I guess for safety, yet you allow guests to have glassware at the side of the pool? People drinking beer out of glass mugs. Crazy! Service at pool bar was poor. 25 minutes to get a hot dog, and then the drinks machine wasn’t working. Also, they advertise a gym but it doesn’t open until 6pm!? What!? Ridiculous. Most people workout on a morning so this is a stupid rule and as such meant I could not use the gym. False advertising. I would not go back, instead I’d probably go to the main PortAventura hotel which I think is much better and worth the extra money.

Not really on property, it is a mile walk to the park entrance. Two miles to the big coasters and NO SHUTTLE! Very poor communication, even considering the language barrier . This is basicly a “Motel/ Motor lodge with separate buildings that you can NOT park near. No bell service, not allowed to even drop your bags and park the car, Felt like a second class/ low class experience the whole stay. Too many small things wrong to even mention . The big ones , The room smelled bad even after two cleanings, the breakfast/ meal service was disorganized and barely acceptable, checkin and purchase of park upgrades was underwhelming , Made me feel like some how they were doing me a favor for letting me stay there! Not focused at all on customer experience. Just going through the motions Very below expectations

The hotel was quite quiet during the day, it seems most people were in the parks, this meant not much choice for food or drinks in hotel during the day. But loved the connection to the parks and being able to walk just 15mins to be in Portaventura, but also option to walk to the beach in around 15minutes too. Best Portaventura hotel in terms of distance from beach. Best of both worlds.

La estadia ha sido buena en general, estuvimos alojados 4 noches una familia con dos niños. Las comidas de media pensión son excelentes, nuy variada y bien hecha. Las instalaciones tambien son buenas, excepto las caminaderas que son estrechas y algunas de piedra dificil de rodae con maleta grande. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y bien climatizadas. Sin embargo, hay aspectos que pueden mejorar: la limpieza deja a desear, a pesar de hacer el cuarto, en el baño no se hace una buena limpieza del el piso y los basureros no se cambian. Tuvimos que llamar a recepción al llegar del parque en la noche para que envien a alguien a llevarse la basura. Por otra parte, el parque queda a 15 minutos a pie desde la recepción, al sol y por el camino del estacionamiento, podrian hacer una caminadera o disponibilizar un transporte rotativos.

Hotel cerca del parque pero como es cuesta arriba se tarda casi 20 min en acceder(con carrito bebe) A los niños le gustó mucho la piscina de arena El buffet bastante bueno y el personal agradable,nos ubicaron siempre sin problema (eramos 18!),variado había donde elegir El personal de recepción un poco antipático sobre todo por los modos(hacia comentarios en catalán como si no les entendiesemos),en cambio seguridad amables.

Dans l'ensemble le personnel de l'hôtel est très sympathique, la chambre est correcte, nous avons quand même due demander des couvertures (2 fois) car à notre arrivée nous n'en avions pas sur les lits: pour un séjour fin octobre quand même c'est la base me semble t'il. Buffet varié, chacun y trouve son compte, juste un peu déçu qu'il n'y ai eu que de la paella comme plat local... Par contre mention spéciale pour la soirée d'Halloween : un buffet de dessert au top et très joliment présenté. Très agréable de pouvoir rentrer dans le parc en prime accès le matin: déjà plus d'une heure de gagner sur les premières attractions ce n'est pas négligeable !

Hôtel non conforme à un 4 étoile. La salle de sport, spa (piscine couverte et jacuzzi), sont payants, et pour un accès de 18h à 22h ! Les serviettes de plage sont également payantes. Uniquement deux restaurants d’ouvert. Un proposant un buffet, où il faut faire la queue pour rentrer, le temps pour dîner est chronométré (40 min), la salle est pleine, attention à la bousculade devant le buffet ! Idem pour le petit déjeuner, il est servi dans la même salle du buffet, le temps est chronométré, file d’attente interminable. Cette pratique est lamentable, nous devons avoir le temps pour profiter des divers repas, de plus en période de vacances. A noter, le reçu pour paiement est sur la table lors de votre arrivée au restaurant ! Durant notre séjour de 7 nuits, le ménage n’a pas été fait deux fois, le gel douche et shampoing vident et non remplie par la femme de ménage. Le sol de la chambre était sale, pas de boissons de bienvenue, pas de cafetière..aucune attention particulière. La piscine est sale, présence d’algues. À part la piscine, aucune animation, pas d’activité. Conclusion, même esprit que pour le parc Port Aventura, file d’attente interminable, tout est pensé pour tirer un maximum de profit de votre séjour. Point positif, le personnel qui est professionnel, souriant.

Très bon séjour. Qualité des prestations, rien à dire. Le seul point négatif c est la demi-pension. Buffet varié et qualitatif mais temps limité ( moins de 40mn pour le repas du soir, en étant à l’heure et 20mn pour le petit déjeuner). Quand on a passé plus de 5 heures à attendre pour une attraction, on a envie de se poser le temps du repas.

Bra hotel med närhet till nöjesparker och nära fina stränder i Salau. Frukosten var bättre än hotel som kostade 3 ggr så mycket i Barcelona. Maten var inget vidare, vi provade buffén som var riktigt dålig. Tråkig underhållning och ingen musik som spelades vid pool eller barer Det roligaste nöjet på kvällen var att titta på alla råttor i träden utanför balkongen

Was very disappointed with the water feature between the two pools, it was dirty, green sludge, it could have been made beautiful with fountains and illumination, instead it was a breading ground for midges and mosquitos - really spoiled the look and ambiance of the hotel, It was nothing like the pictures portrayed. Was disappointed at having to pay extra to use the water park which cost another 125 Euros on top of what we had already paid. Disappointed that we had to pre-book dinner and breakfast slots, and only had 40 minutes to eat and go for breakfast, and an hour for dinner. Felt like you had to rush your food and get out quickly ready for the next load of people to come in. This also meant, that you had to plan your days around your meal times, which impacted which shows you could or could not get to see in the Parks during the evening. It really did limit our freedom to come and go, it was very restrictive. Spent 20 Euros to store luggage before our rooms were ready - have never had to pay store luggage at any hotels ever before, This was not a genuine 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star, it was a bit run down, the best part was the two swimming pools, but that was it. No entertainment during the day, and only a mini disco at night for children. Accommodation layout reminded us of Butlins chalets.
