I use Best Western quite a bit whilst working, but this was a bit of a let down.The biggest shock was the £10 parking charge, hidden away in the terms and conditions that no one every checks. I didn't pay it, I parked elsewhere. No restaurant service on a Sunday! In general not brilliant. Room was cold, especially the bathroom with a totally antiquated electric heater on the wall! Room hadn't been heated prior to my arrival so was really cold.

This hotel is very overpriced, room/bathroom, bed all appalling. Parking was £10 additional to the overpriced room to park in a muddy area at the back of this place. The bathroom was above the kitchen with a very loud extractor fan and seemingly extracted all of the cooking waste into the shower above, choking fumes. The bed was very uncomfortable. The traffic noise from outside was loud. The noise from othet residents and slamming doors was excessive at all hours of the night. I'd not recommend this hotel.

One night stay for a business trip and arrived quite late so restaurant and bar were already closed. Early start so did not stop for breakfast so not able to comment on the food. Room was ok, comfortable and had the usual facilities. Very helpful young lady on reception who lent me a phone charger as I had left mine behind.

The hotel was clean and the staff were super nice. The room was on what seemed to be a 3rd floor which we had to go up these tiny little stairs with luggage. That was hard. Then the bathroom had no flannels/ face cloths to wash with. We had to leave the hot water running in the bathroom for about 20 minutes before it was hot enough to wash with. Then we booked 2 nights but only needed 1 as our plans changed and even though they had not charged me yet and I cancelled a week before I got their they would not credit me for the 2nd night. I also paid for a full English breakfast and when we got to the hotel we were told that they don’t do that until 10am and only continental was available early morning and again would not refund me the extra fee for breakfast. Then we asked about getting dinner and was told as it was a holiday weekend they closed the restaurant leaving us no option but to go out to find food. NONE of this was disclosed up front when ordering which is why I should have received a credit back.

I stayed 2nights with my daughter ,at the best western Claydon hotel,, spotlessly clean, all staff where very nice and welcoming , restaurant was nice & welcoming ,and the food here is excellent .you have a good option choice of 1coarse, 2 course or 3 course meals . The area is very good, nice quiet village, not far from Ipswich and Stowmarket ,loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend,

The hotel was easily accessible, clean and friendly. We received a warm welcome and our needs were met as we needed a ground floor room. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable, but the manager was very obliging and swapped our room, unfortunately the second room was just as uncomfortable. The only problem with this hotel is that they need to invest in some new mattresses. Everything else is wonderful.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the best stay. Couldn’t fault the staff they were brilliant but ………. Our room smelt like scampi and chips most of the night, must of been near the kitchen not sure The floorboards above us were creaking all night with people walking around upstairs so difficult to sleep. The cooked breakfast in the morning was disappointing as very basic and no option for what type of egg you could have as the only available option was scrambled

Arrived late so needed a decent sleep after a long drive . Room 203 faces the main busy road so from 4am its impossible to sleep due to traffic noise . Poor double glazing and made worse by a window that didnt close properly. No hairdryer and room overpriced in my opion . Decent breakfast

Ideal for one nights stay, I personally couldn’t do anymore. Floor boards everywhere were squeaky so it meant you could hear everyone passing outside your room. Rooms were rather cramped.

A one night stopover which was very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice including full English.

I stayed 2nights with my daughter ,at the best western Claydon hotel,, spotlessly clean, all staff where very nice and welcoming , restaurant was nice & welcoming ,and the food here is excellent .you have a good option choice of 1coarse, 2 course or 3 course meals . The area is very good, nice quiet village, not far from Ipswich and Stowmarket ,loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend,

This hotel is very overpriced, room/bathroom, bed all appalling. Parking was £10 additional to the overpriced room to park in a muddy area at the back of this place. The bathroom was above the kitchen with a very loud extractor fan and seemingly extracted all of the cooking waste into the shower above, choking fumes. The bed was very uncomfortable. The traffic noise from outside was loud. The noise from othet residents and slamming doors was excessive at all hours of the night. I'd not recommend this hotel.

Froendly service, comfortable room and supberb breakfast. Convenient for visiting Ipswich. Only one set of towels for 2 guests though.

Arrived late so needed a decent sleep after a long drive . Room 203 faces the main busy road so from 4am its impossible to sleep due to traffic noise . Poor double glazing and made worse by a window that didnt close properly. No hairdryer and room overpriced in my opion . Decent breakfast

I use Best Western quite a bit whilst working, but this was a bit of a let down.The biggest shock was the £10 parking charge, hidden away in the terms and conditions that no one every checks. I didn't pay it, I parked elsewhere. No restaurant service on a Sunday! In general not brilliant. Room was cold, especially the bathroom with a totally antiquated electric heater on the wall! Room hadn't been heated prior to my arrival so was really cold.

We had a marvellous stay, and the staff were very friendly. A note that Ella shold geta special mention, for her kindness and friendly ness. We would certainly go back. Breakfast was also brilliant.

A one night stopover which was very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice including full English.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the best stay. Couldn’t fault the staff they were brilliant but ………. Our room smelt like scampi and chips most of the night, must of been near the kitchen not sure The floorboards above us were creaking all night with people walking around upstairs so difficult to sleep. The cooked breakfast in the morning was disappointing as very basic and no option for what type of egg you could have as the only available option was scrambled

Firstly I booked this hotel in a last minute when I got there I got into the when I got into the room soon as I walked into the room there was a cockroach on the bed. I literally screamed. I called reception as I go towards it. it starts running towards me and then it ran to the bed then come upstairs and then she saw it and she killed it and she moved my room which was lovely then I moved to another room. Everything was fine, but I literally couldn’t sleep because I was so scared cause I’ve got a phobia of Beatles. Was having a shower will bath should I say I’m sitting there and I also like poking through and there was an insulin needle so when I woke up in the morning and I have the cleaners I gave it to them cause I didn’t want to get hurt, but yeah, not the greatest. The hotel itself looked lovely but yeah it was a little things and it didn’t make things very enjoyable so yeah, apart from that, it was brilliant

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold på Best Western Claydon Hotel! Fra vi kom til vi reiste, ble vi møtt med et smil og en service som var langt over forventningene. En ekstra stor takk til Mariana, som gjorde oppholdet vårt helt spesielt. Hun var utrolig hyggelig, profesjonell og alltid klar til å hjelpe. Hele hotellpersonalet fortjener også ros – alle var positive, imøtekommende og fikk oss til å føle oss virkelig velkomne. Vi har bodd på mange hoteller gjennom årene, men dette hotellet skilte seg virkelig ut. Den varme atmosfæren, den gode servicen og det vennlige personalet gjorde oppholdet til en fantastisk opplevelse. Vi anbefaler Best Western Claydon Hotel på det varmeste, og kommer gjerne tilbake!
