The hotel was great, very summer oriented, with never ending activities for the kids throughout the day, ending with a “swim-in” movie and smores by the fire every night. The property is awesome with great pool, games, and dining options throughout. Dawn at the concierge desk was simply AMAZING. She went above and beyond to help us with our special dietary needs, including checking in with us throughout each day, and even making a point of checking in with us on her day off to make sure that everything was going smoothly for us. (Not to forget The chef and colleagues at the food sevice window who were a big part of the success, and could not have been more accommodating!). This is a great summer getaway, and really had a resort like atmosphere. We will definitely be repeating this one.

We were here on Christmas Eve and everything was festive and decorated beautifully!Check in and parking was a breeze. There is so much to do here. The pools, the hot tubs, arcade and a pool table. The gym is also very nice. We had dinner on the property and it was delicious! Next year I think we will stay 2 nights so we can have time to do it all.

We love the Hyatt Cambridge. We haven’t been in 10 years and we loved that they added a new additional hot tub for adults on the other side of the infinity pool, where you could relax and enjoy the view of the river. Everything is always so top notch and staff is friendly and accommodating.

This is a very relaxing property with extremely nice staff. I really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is family friendly with tons of activities for kids ranging from mini-golf, bounce houses, and a good variety of indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs. Last not least, the view of the bay is priceless. Cant wait to be back there!

The room was large and clean. The bell hop service was good. The location on the water was pretty. Hotel reception was luke warm at check in and check out. No "welcome to the Hyat...or How was your stay?" The hotel felt understaffed and wasn't welcoming. Facilities showed wear and tear and needs maintenance/general cleaning. Market Cafe coffee was terrible and the in room coffee was worse. Splurge on local, quality coffee and UHT half and half in the room! One pool was closed, watersport rental was closed, but the hotel was at or near capacity. Definitely didn't feel the $40 daily resort fee was worth it. Not a good value.

It was a well deserved overnight for us. So we saw pictures and it looked perfect for a relaxing day. The pool was overcrowded with hundreds of children as though it was a camp pool. No chaise’s or chairs were available. No pool side drink and/or food service. We waited on line for 30 minutes for a drink and a bag of chips. Only thing good about the hotel was the room, it was clean very comfortable. We were there on a Tuesday in June and paid $300 for the night. I expected much more from a Hyatt Resort Hotel. Never again!!

My husband and I attended a marriage retreat at the Hyatt Chesapeake this weekend and it was outstanding (the retreat and the hotel :) The room was large, well appointed and immaculately clean with a beautiful view of the bay. There are many amenities to take advantage of and several eateries on property and near by. My husband who is extremely picky and hard to please when it comes to hotels had absolutely no complaints! In fact, he shared that he would love to return in the future for a longer stay!

The property itself is beautiful, but is starting to show signs of wear. The cushions on my outdoor balcony were moldy and vents in the room were dirty. They charge exorbitant resort fees but then charge you for everything so not sure what the fees cover.

Our room was very dirty. There was a ton of long black hairs in the shower and all over the bathroom (including hanging from the ceiling). We found rubber gloves all over the room? We found 1 in the bed and 1 on the floor in the room, outside of the bathroom. When we arrived, there was a can of WD40 on the sink counter and a staff member tried to barge into our room to take it back. We also could hear our next door neighbors very clearly which was annoying.

Overall staff was nice & resort was beautiful, the bathroom just had a bad fishy smell & when I spoke to other guest staying there they said they had the same smell coming from their bathrooms as well. I brought air fresher from the Walmart near by.

The property itself is gorgeous. The water views are stunning. The view from my room was fabulous. I stayed there the weekend of the Ironman Triathlon, Eagleman 70.3. Not sure I would stay there for Eagleman again though. The room was very expensive, but I thought I was going to be taken care of during my stay. We were greeted with Ironman flags that I thought were a sign the hotel was aware and looking forward to taking care of our needs. The hotel advertised a shuttle running from the hotel to the race site the morning of the race. This is a HUGE benefit to participants because parking near the race site is extremely difficult. Unfortunately, the shuttle did not run as promised. 40 or so athletes waited from approximately 4:20 a.m. to some time past 5:00 a.m. to board a shuttle. Staff were aware, but seemed to have no ability to help. I ended up running back to my room, grabbing my car key and driving myself and three others to the race. After finding parking, I only had 15 minutes to get set up in transition before it closed. Terribly stressful. Also, my room had a high ceiling. There were multiple visible cob webs where the wall met the ceiling. Last, but not least, the complimentary parking is far from the hotel. The only way to reasonably transport bikes and multiple bags is with the help of a bell hop. The morning I left, they only had one bell hop on staff. Long story short, lovely setting, but don't count on much timely help.

Loved the hotel! It was a wonderful vacation for our family. Our only complaints are that the food was overpriced and not great and their housekeeping forgot to clean our room 3 of the 4 nights we were there.

Amazing experience! This was our third visit here and it’s just the best spot with the best views—we will keep coming back. The staff could not be more warm and welcoming—everyone is so friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Good food and drinks if you don’t want to leave the property, but can drive a short distance for more stores and food options. The water views are just so beautiful. 11/10!

We went for a weekend get away. The place was very nice, though a little dated (we had a torn curtain in our room.) The bedding was awful. I cannot understand why they cannot put a fitted sheet on the mattress and then a flat sheet on top. I was wrestling with the covers all night...it was like they short-sheeted the bed. The food in both restaurants was fantastic. The service was fabulous. We enjoyed the infinity pool and the hot tub. I was disappointed by how little "beach" there was, because it looked like more on the resort map. There was definitely plenty to do there. But, I'm not sure that it was worth what we spent.

Fourth stay at this property. Big fun and big money in summer, but it’s a steal in the winter: quiet, with the indoor pool and adult outdoor hot tub still open, and very few guests. Comfortable bed, spacious room, great view. Spa service was still great. Some off-season renovations were happening, so expect a spruce-up in the spring. I enjoy staying here any time of year, but the only thing consistently disappointing has been the restaurant/bar food situation. Pricey and poor. Thought something as simple as a cheese platter would be fine, but it was inedibly bad.

The property and views were amazing. The customer service was just ok. Upon arrival, no bell hop or self service carts were available for our Mid-Week Check In. The king sized mattress was uncomfortable, but the under the bed motion sensor lighting was a nice addition in the dark. The sound proofing was terrible. One morning I was woken by crying children in the hallway before 8am. Then the next morning to the sound of the words "Housekeeping" yelled repeatedly every 30 seconds as they worked their way down the hallway. So, I was unable to sleep past 8am either morning. Housekeeping missed a few things when cleaning - leftovers in the mini-fridge, holes in the throw blankets, forgotten pillowcase, and housekeeping changed the thermostat to 59 degrees when they cleaned the room. Internet service was disruptive. I could not load the internet. The Concierge suggested I turn my phone off, then on again, which did not solve the issue. I couldn't log in to check in on work or enter my Fantasy Football Draft for the length of my stay. Overall, the pool, river view, and property itself were beautiful. But the above listed items didn't make for the best experience for the cost.

Housekeeping missed a few things when cleaning - leftovers in the mini-fridge, holes in the throw blankets, forgotten pillowcase, and housekeeping changed the thermostat to 59 degrees when they cleaned the room. Internet service was disruptive. I could not load the internet. The Concierge suggested I turn my phone off, then on again, which did not solve the issue. I couldn't log in to check in on work or enter my Fantasy Football Draft for the length of my stay. Overall, the pool, river view, and property itself were beautiful. But the above listed items didn't make for the best experience for the cost.

Heated indoor pool was terrific, excellent for swimming laps, and the indoor hot tub was very relaxing. The view from my room was lovely, but the heat didn't work and it took 90 minutes for someone to come and fix it and then it took 30 minutes for room to warm up

If you're looking for a quiet, kid-free getaway, this may not be the best choice. The resort is clearly designed with families in mind, and even the adult pool had children in it during our stay. The hotel was overpriced for the amenities. The room was average at best. The carpet was worn and torn in one area. The bathroom toilet needs caulk around the base. They definitely need to upgrade if they are going to charge $500.00plus a night. The Waters Edge Restaurant was simply average.

Property is nice and most of the staff were very friendly, but they were not staffed appropriately for start of the season. This impacted offerings and especially service. As a result, some food offerings were limited to mediocre buffet food and took forever to get things. Poolside food was horrible- paid $12 for an order of fries which is fine, but literally received probably 15 small fries and the chicken in quesadilla was inedible after 10 minutes to order and 20 to be done. Also, did not tell us breakfast was included in rate until we checked out, so we ended up paying for takeout at the window after waiting in line for 15 minutes and hostess was busy clearing tables. Blue point provision company food was the best meal we had there and the cocktails were very good. Live acoustic was a nice touch in the library in the evenings. The icing on the cake was when service booked for a jet ski needed to rescheduled the next day and they refused to accommodate even a 30 minute late checkout so our son could shower before we left. We could have gone anywhere for a long weekend with our young adult kids and we chose to come here and spend a lot of money on property. We have been coming to Cambridge for 10 years now and love the town, the really nice people, and the vibe. Rooms were usually sold out at the Hyatt, so we decided to give it a shot to enjoy the facility, but thanks to poor management, don’t think we’ll be coming back to the Hyatt again.

My family loves staying at this resort. The pool continues to be AWESOME. The Chesapeake suite we booked this time was great and we asked to change from a king to 2 queens during our stay and the staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately the linens and towels weren’t as comfortable as they’d been in the past. It was a bit difficult to sleep with the stiff sheets. The availability of hot water in the room was a bit variable. None of this is terrible but for the price you pay you want it to be better value. The staff was very kind but they were understaffed for the time of year. We had to wait a very long time for service at the restaurant. Only one was open. We did have a meal comped because we waited so long, which we really appreciated.

It was nice to have options for eating without having to drive somewhere. When we checked in Wednesday night, we could use a cart and take our own luggage to our rooms. When we checked out on Sunday, we had to wait for someone to bring a cart to our rooms and of course provide a tip. I reserved 2 rooms, requested 1 microwave. There were 2 microwaves in 1 room. I requested a roll away bed for our 2 year old. 2 roll away beds were sent to the room. If I had been informed that the King Bedroom already had a pullout sofa bed, no roll away bed would have been needed. We returned the roll away bed Thursday morning.

We were told to have electric car charging when we called and reserve but when we arrived there was no charging spot. We were told to be notified for the charging but then we never got the notice. Also when we checked in the lady only told us we’ll be charged if we use or eat things in the room but when we checked out, there was an extra 47 dollars resort fee that we were never being informed. The restaurants were all having a long wait. The electric charging make the way back and further trip very challenging and inconvenient. The hotel should have confirmed with us or at least tried to help when we asked the frond desk at night to see if there is available spot. If we had not gotten an incredible discount to a variety of means. I would've been royally irritated at the price I would have had to pay. The place is not bad but it is definitely dated they need some upgrades. The housekeeping staff was awful. The front desk had about as much personality as my socks. There were bellmen apparently in the building, but only came out to ask us if they could help us once we had already done what we needed to do. The posted price on the door was $640 per night, but that's always an exaggeration. I think the regular advertised price is about $350+. Paying even that posted price was way out of line for what we got. Truly, the only real bright spot was a very personable waitress at the downstairs bar/grill, who worked to help each person for whom she was responsible. She deserved and got a great tip!

The resort is nice and has a lot of amenities, but the area around the resort doesn't has any activities or dining options. Your best bet is to just eat at the resort with the higher priced menu. In addition, we paid higher premium for the water view room, but there was hardly river/bay view from the room. Savr yourself some money and go for the regular room

We dined at the Waters Edge Grill for dinner and had Milan as our server. He was wonderful and our food was incredibly delicious. The next morning we dined in the same spot for breakfast and Sara was very attentive and helpful. We honestly find most hotel restaurants to be dull and boring with not the best service, but this was certainly not the case here.

It’s overpriced as a resort because the amenities are not there. One restaurant open and the food is mediocre and there’s not really anything else to go to without driving at least twenty minutes away. Same for any shopping or other activities. Most resorts I’ve stayed at offer much more.

I've been going to the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge MD for over 12 yrs and it is always enjoyable. It is a unique location right on the Choptank River and very serene and relaxing. I go alone but there is a lot to do for families with kids. The only negative for me is that since Covid the food options are not as good as they use to be. The dining room was closed again this time so only onsite option was bar food which is not what I was hoping for and even at that it is rather indifferent bar food. There was no communication with me prior to the visit or at check in that the dining room would be closed which I think they should tell you. As it turned out the 2nd night, two of the main offerings that were on the dining room menu were available at the bar but I only found this out by accident when I commented to the bartender about my disappointment. In general these days it seems like they are a little indifferent to their dining options which keeps this property from being a 5 star hotel. Otherwise it is terrific!

I enjoyed my stay and the staff was approachable and very helpful. Consider having more than 1 restaurant opened for breakfast. I waited almost 1 hour for the food to come to my table. When it did arrive, nothing was hot. Also, do something about the flies. They were inside ascwell as outside.

Loved the hotel! It was a wonderful vacation for our family. Our only complaints are that the food was overpriced and not great and their housekeeping forgot to clean our room 3 of the 4 nights we were there.

The overall property is great. Large pools both inside and outside, separate swim areas for adults. Several nice restaurants to choose from. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We also had a spa service, and it was excellent. There is a lot to do around the hotel. We will go back!
The overall property is great. Large pools both inside and outside, separate swim areas for adults. Several nice restaurants to choose from. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We also had a spa service, and it was excellent. There is a lot to do around the hotel. We will go back!

This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a destination. We made the most of everything the resort has to offer. We spent hours relaxing by the beautiful pool with attentive waitress service, rented bikes to explore the property, took Sea-Doos out on the bay for an unforgettable afternoon, enjoyed a round of mini golf, and then retreated to our luxurious suite to unwind in comfort. Every experience was seamless and first class. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every employee we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay special never went unnoticed. The grounds are immaculate, the amenities are outstanding, and the entire resort strikes the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. We love this hotel. the rooms are very comfy and super clean. The infinity pool and other amenities make this a great place to stay if you don't want to leave the resort. My one suggestion is better training for your servers. Most who helped us were super nice, but one or 2 seemed bothered that they needed to wait on us since we were eating around 9 pm. Also, there was one worker in the gift/ coffee shop who was not very friendly any of the times we visited. Normally, in high end resorts everyone is very welcoming.
