We were in Topsail recently scouting out spots for a future vacation and found this hidden gem there. Sea Vista is the perfect spot for a beach vacation. Very relaxed, great ocean views for the sunrise. The beach was very clean and quiet, just steps from the hotel. The motel itself was rustic and a great sandy beach vibe. They have outdoor showers as well! A quick ride to Surf City to stock up on supplies. We met some very friendly neighbours and the staff was very welcoming. This is a place we will come back to next time we are in NC. If you like the beach, you will love this area.

We had a great 3 day trip to the Sea Vista. When they ocean front they really mean it. Best and closest view I’ve ever had. Just a few steps to the beach and the ocean. Ocean City is close by for restaurants etc. Toosail don’t have many. Beach is very clean.

Best thing about the hotel...location and balcony! Recent beach replenishment made for a huge clean beach. The balcony was a good size with tall chairs and rocking chairs and great views of the beach. Some of the furnishings were worn and simple quality. The room (#211) looked freshly painted and clean. It had a microwave, small fridge with freezer, coffee maker, and some basic dishes. The staff was friendly and I appreciated the phone call the day of my arrival to confirm and expidite check-in. The property is gated during the day to provide safety and reserve the beach access for guests. Again, it was nothing fancy but was treated with TLC! The value was good for a beautiful and relaxing getaway.

The balcony and beach view were excellent. Close enough to hear the surf all the time. The beds were comfortable and the dog friendly atmosphere were great too. If you’re looking for Sandals resort, this is not it. It is a comfortable room with excellent access to beach. If you have any mobility issues there are a lot of stairs, to the rooms, to the beach, etc. I would also suggest to the management they have a laundry room for public use, as there are no decent laundries in the area. Also the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors pretty well.

This is such a great little place! You can’t get closer to the beach than this- it’s extremely dog-friendly (we were able to bring our own dog, plus get to enjoy lots of others also!)- the room is the perfect size to be comfortable, and has all you would need! •A private beach access is provided (be mindful that there are stairs to access the beach) •The room was clean and had all basics provided (we brought a small electric griddle to cook, but there is a hot plate provided, as well as cookware) •The view from the balcony is AMAZING! •The staff are all very personable and friendly- they make you feel comfy as soon as you get there We definitely recommend a stay here!

Very cozy motel. You sit on your balcony looking straight at the ocean, no tricky “side or window views”. It is truly ocean in front of you! Going back in September. Staff was also very cordial and efficient.

The staff is wonderful. The room was the cleanest I've seen when visiting a hotel, Verbo or rental....ever! The motel is a short walking distance to the shore which includes your little private back porch, rocking chairs included. The room is fully supplied with pretty much everything you need, and the motel was very quiet, we had guests next door and around us and barely heard them. Plus, and most importantly, they allow dogs!!

My wife and I loved staying at this property. We had to book a stay here two days before our vacation due to our other place canceling. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The view was beautiful and the room was very clean. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Very clean and very well maintained! Although the rooms are non smoking the people that stayed in the room previously must have not followed those rules as the room smelled strong of smoke once arriving. This was the only issue with our stay as everything else was great. Will stay again!

There was exposed insulation in the cabinet and black mold in the bathroom. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with only 3 thin pillows for a king size bed. There was no stove as pictured instead there was an electric hot plate. The coffee pot was broken as well.

Check-in was a bit confusing as we did not receive gate code ahead of time and it was an unexpected hurdle. Room was spacious and clean, no complaints and view cannot be beat. Porch/decks are huge, rooms are quiet, as were guests (and dogs). Beds were moderate, only complaint would be one was very noisy when turning over or getting up, and the pillows were pretty flat and only 4 total. Nothng would prevent us from staying here in the future. Fair Warning: Bring your own food supplies as options are beyond slim and delivery 60-75 minutes minimum.

The view from our room was gorgeous, and the ladies at the desk are nice, but those are literally the only positives I can list. We booked an efficiency king room with a kitchen on the first floor of the motel. The motel is quite literally falling apart - the entire room’s floor slanted inward towards the center of the building, the storm window frames were rusted and the brackets were coming off the walls as were the curtain rods, the wall paneling was peeling off, the only wired light fixture had a bulb out and the other side of the room had 2 tiny useless lamps, the AC didn’t work well, and there is no sprinkler system despite having a full kitchen. Upon arrival, neither key we received worked on the deadbolt so we were only able to lock the handle lock during our stay. I was NOT told upon booking that our room would be conjoined with another room, with only two regular doors separating us - I heard this other guest drop his fork on his plate, sneeze, drop his keys on the table, let his dog bark, etc. through the door like he was literally in the room with us, and I’m sure he heard us the entire time as well. The guests above us had children that ran laps the entire time and quite literally sounded like they were coming through the floor, for hours, as late as 9pm. The bed was hard as a rock and the pull out couch did not come with linens. Being on the beach and having direct access is nice but I was severely disappointed.

Staying here is like dating a really hot guy. He is so sexy and beautiful and turns you on. But he knows it and so he acts like a jerk and treats you badly. Great place. Terrible service. They don’t even open the office. And there are snarky signs everywhere. Telling you not to ask any questions. And leave the staff the heck alone.

A hidden.gem of a Motel. Clean, had a kitchenette, and beach access in the middle of the hotel. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. Off the beaten path a bit so it was quiet without any traffic but resteraunts and shopping was a 15 minute drive away. Staff was friendly, very helpful and offered great suggestions about the area. Many other guests i met have been staying at the motel for yearly trips.

We were in Topsail recently scouting out spots for a future vacation and found this hidden gem there. Sea Vista is the perfect spot for a beach vacation. Very relaxed, great ocean views for the sunrise. The beach was very clean and quiet, just steps from the hotel. The motel itself was rustic and a great sandy beach vibe. They have outdoor showers as well! A quick ride to Surf City to stock up on supplies. We met some very friendly neighbours and the staff was very welcoming. This is a place we will come back to next time we are in NC. If you like the beach, you will love this area.

We had a great 3 day trip to the Sea Vista. When they ocean front they really mean it. Best and closest view I’ve ever had. Just a few steps to the beach and the ocean. Ocean City is close by for restaurants etc. Toosail don’t have many. Beach is very clean.

The motel was quiet. Extremely dog friendly. The rooms were very clean, updated, The mattresses in room #316 were very firm. Too firm for me but my husband loved it. Beautiful view of the ocean from the room. Nice balcony with comfy chairs. Good water pressure. Topsail is a beautiful beach. The southern end is quiet. There is a small grocery store down the street, ice cream parlor, outfitters store, restaurant, the Jolly Roger pier is walking distance.

Check-in was a bit confusing as we did not receive gate code ahead of time and it was an unexpected hurdle. Room was spacious and clean, no complaints and view cannot be beat. Porch/decks are huge, rooms are quiet, as were guests (and dogs). Beds were moderate, only complaint would be one was very noisy when turning over or getting up, and the pillows were pretty flat and only 4 total. Nothng would prevent us from staying here in the future. Fair Warning: Bring your own food supplies as options are beyond slim and delivery 60-75 minutes minimum.

It was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Beach was not crowded at all. Left stuff out all day with no worries. Balcony right on the ocean. If you go here bring everything you will need as there are be stores or restaurants close. Loved this vacation!

The view is incredible and the proximity to the beach. I believe its the only motel/hotel at Topsail. Groceries store are 15mins away. Friendly Staff, I didnt love the bathroom.

This was our first time visiting the Sea Vista motel, but it won’t be our last. I’ve stayed in some motels that have been a little worse for the wear, but Sea Vista was extremely clean and well kept with excellent service. All of the rooms are ocean-facing with balconies, which was so amazing for listening to the ocean at night. You’re also just steps from the beach. We’re from Florida and you could not get this quality of oceanfront room for this price. The room itself was spacious. It even had a close to full sized fridge. The grounds were so clean and it was extremely pet friendly. You can tell they really care for the environment, which is huge for us. Close to several restaurants and shops and a short drive to breweries and Surf City.

A hidden.gem of a Motel. Clean, had a kitchenette, and beach access in the middle of the hotel. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. Off the beaten path a bit so it was quiet without any traffic but resteraunts and shopping was a 15 minute drive away. Staff was friendly, very helpful and offered great suggestions about the area. Many other guests i met have been staying at the motel for yearly trips.

We had an amazing 2 night stay! We loved the room & especially the balcony. Of course being able to stay right on the beach was fantastic. We did run into a couple issuers but we were able to make do. The TV remote needed batteries & the lamp in between the 2 beds couldn't be turned on. The switch was broken. My son loved having the coffee maker. Creamer & sugar would be a great added touch since he does not drink it black. Also it’s a bit difficult to wash dishes in a little bathroom sink. I was so scared I was going to break one smashing it against the side of the tiny sink. I assumed the dishes were taken somewhere to be washed & then retuned until I saw it was $25 if they weren’t washed by me. I always wash my dishes regardless but there is usually a kitchen sink or dish washer. Just one more recommendation: an ice maker for the property. I was told it was available to purchase but the office wasn’t open when I realized the fridge wasn’t getting my drinks cold enough. Overall we had a wonderful stay & would book again.

First time my husband and I stayed here and we truly enjoyed it. Great beach access with lots of room on the sand to spread out. Add in the friendly staff and Sea Vista is a 10/10!!

We stayed in the Accessible apartment. It was away from the main building but provided us privacy and a separate bedroom for my son and I. Very nicely decorated and great bathroom and kitchen. We had a really wonderful stay!

The nicest thing I can say about the motel was that the beach view and access were excellent…loved watching a pod of dolphins from my balcony. However, there is no elevator and no one to carry luggage to second or third floor rooms without making advance reservations. This is a very old style ( think 1950’s) beach motel with a degree of wear and disrepair on a wide, quiet beautiful beach. The room and details did not meet my expectations, the rate seemed high for the room and building upkeep.
