We stayed here after a late night ferry crossing to Calais. Arrived at around 1am. The woman at check-in was lovely and friendly, gave us the key, we paid our tourist tax and headed off within minutes - which was much appreciated after a long journey. The room however, a strange building in motel style outdoor corridors, rooms have low ceilings so feel quite claustrophobic, metal shutters on the outside for privacy, bed pretty uncomfortable, pillows were terrible (had our own in the car luckily) - shower was ok, carpet felt filthy, felt pretty creepy once the lights were out - it did the job for a five hour snooze and get the hell out of dodge. We also saw a little baby roach on the wall of the bedroom in the morning - which wasn’t the most pleasant experience. Overall, nice staff - horrendous rooms.

L’accueil a été très agréable, cependant nous avons été déçus par l’état de la salle de bain dans notre chambre : elle était sale, avec des poils visibles sur le lavabo et des toilettes dans un état peu hygiénique (j’ai d’ailleurs pris des photos). La literie était malheureusement très inconfortable, ce qui ne nous a pas permis de bien dormir. Concernant le petit-déjeuner, le tarif de 13 € nous a semblé excessif, nous avons donc choisi de ne pas le prendre sur place. En résumé, le rapport qualité-prix n’était vraiment pas au rendez-vous, et nous ne reviendrons pas dans cet établissement.

Franchement je ne vais pas souvent dans le campanile Béthune, mais il vieillit vraiment mal. Odeur dans la chambre, douche salle (voir photo) ou comment s'éclaté le pied en sortant de la salle de bain voir la photo, ce matin 6h55 plus rien au petit déjeuner hormis du pain, yahourt nature (charcuterie, petite crêpe cake yaourt aux fruits confitures absente) j'ai réussi a avoir confiture abricot et pour finir pas d'eau froide dans la douche donc impossible de prendre une douche sans se brûler....et compliqué pour avoir sa facture . La chaine campanile va mal....

L’accueil est le seul point positif de cet hôtel. Pour le reste, passez votre chemin : douche qui arrose les murs, chasse d’eau qui fonctionne 1 fois sur 2, ménage très très superficiel : pas de passage de l’aspirateur durant notre séjour durant nos 9 nuits consécutifs!!! Nous l’avons signalé à l’accueil : on nous a répondu : mettez la pancarte et je vais faire remonter l’information à ma collègue. Rien n’a été fait pour autant. Et pour la pancarte : comme si nous n’y avions pas pensé!!! Nous l’avions mise tous les jours : pour ce que ça a servi!!! Draps non changés : honteux là aussi nous l’avons dit. Pas de lumière à l’un des chevets, lavabo fendu, bref nous sommes très déçus et nous n’y remettons plus les pieds, ça c’est certain.

We had told the hotel we would be delayed and were told the desk was open 24/7. Due to a Eurotunnel delay we arrived at 3am (as did a few others). The hotel was locked up and the phone number on the door went to answer machine. Thankfully I had another number the hotel had given me or we would have spent the night in the car. Vague instructions to the room which was in another building were really bad service. Not a good experience.

This is base for the night . Clean , comfortable and basic . I thought I would share our experience with finding a restaurant in walking distance . The location is not great for walking out into town as there are no paths . We did manage to walk via industrial shopping area but there was a group traveller camping in a disused car park . In daylight okish but after dark would not want me to walk about. We did make into the town centre on foot in 30 minutes walk but decided to get an uber back . We only found 2 restaurants that were not fast food chain or takeaway. We did eat in a small local restaurant in the end- it was friendly and great value . There other restaurants near the hotel but again KFC, of other fast food . The hotel has a restaurant so might be safer to eat there .

Stayed here three months ago and as such we were happy to return, however we were disappointed with our stay this time, restaurant was only able to provide limited pizzas and limited soft drinks, one pizza was over done (crispy cheese) and the other came out 5 minutes later and no coca cola !!!, not sure what has happened, perhaps new management ?? Otherwise clean and handy for an overnight.

Problème de chambre disponible mais vite résolue par la l'accueil très fort sympathique..malheureusement, l'hôtel est dans son jus et pas très clean, rasoir de la personne précédente rester dans la douche. Personne du matin très déborder car doit faire la distribution des factures non donner la veille et ne s'occupe pas du petit-déjeuner, car avoir que la possibilité de manger deux pauvres croissants un jus d'orange et un café pour 13.90€, ca fait chère le ptt déj...tout était vide et pas rempoté...compliqué de revenir dans cette hôtel à l'avenir.

Booked Campanile as I like the restaurant to be included. Almost exactly as expected. Large, clean, comfortable bed. Adequate room and bathroom, although I would prefer walk-in shower rather than one over the bath. Friendly staff and good evening meal and breakfast. Great buffet choice.

We have stayed many times in a campanile including Bethune. It has changed completely. No buffet or even a menu in the evening of which we didn’t know about prior to coming. Coffee machine was broken at breakfast. The basin was cracked in the bathroom. There was a very pungent cleaning smell in the room which caused breathing problems to the point that I had to sleep with a mask on. At 1.30 in the morning there was very loud music being played outside in the car park. Edwin was a very friendly member of staff.
