Great Motel within walking distance of Rodeo grounds. Great staff, check in was smooth, pool was fantastic and you can swim anytime. There was a gal giving kids a ride around on a golf cart with a mini horse and we enjoyed that. Sitting outside enjoying the view was also a plus. The garbage truck every morning at 530am is a little annoying but thats not the Motel's issue. Great stay and we will be back!!!

Very awesome stay. Pool was perfect for the kids. Beautiful view of the mountains from the porch in front of our room. Clean and spacious room. Best part was a free carriage ride around the property. I would recommend this motel to everyone staying in Cody.

The motel was older but well maintained. The area was quiet. Our grandchildren had great fun in the pool. There were picnic tables outside so we had a snack out there. After supper the front desk person’s pony rode around the property in a golf cart to visit with the guests which was delightful. The kids were able to try roping the metal cow.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Big Bear Motel. The rooms are immaculate, and everyone is friendly and helpful. The pool is nice, and they have a nice playground area for kids. On a Sunday night we were there, they had a one-man band, a guy helping kids rope a wooden bull, and a Shetland pony who rode around in a golf cart in the outdoor area. Our sons are grown, but they would’ve loved it as kids. This is a great place to stay; hopefully, we get back to Cody and can stay there again. Great value!!!

Enjoyed the live music duo in the evening. The whole atmosphere and set up was relaxing and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. They need a lift to the second floor.

Hotel provided an excellent affordable stay near Yellowstone. Hotel has a pool and laundry facilities. Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel has unique experiences including a horse and buggy ride and a singer who sang to the tenants in a nightly concert. Also 2 folding luggage racks in our room which even 5 Star Hotels do not provide more than 1. Overall, kudos overall.

While I was trying to sleep I kept feeling like I was getting bit by something. At one point I felt something crawling up my leg under my pj’s. It turns out I was being bit up by a flea that was in my bed. I know the motel is pet friendly, I did not bring a pet, but cleaning the rooms needs to be done more carefully.

Our room looked NOTHING like the photos. Mobile home walls, old furniture, and the room was very dirty. The floor turned our socks black. There was water damage on bathroom walls and floor, Filthy heat vent and air conditioner, rusty sink drain. Queen & Double bed - each pushed up against the walls, with barely any space to walk between them. One plug available in the outlet for both beds to share. One of the most expensive stays on our 6 day trip and the worst experience! No grass for dogs and no outside garbage can for their waste. All of the recent reviews are great so I assume those people got the rooms seen online that must’ve been recently remodeled. It seems very unfair that we paid the same price for our room. Be sure to call ahead and verify that you’re getting what you paid for.

Floor was FILTHY. I don’t believe it had been mopped/cleaned in several days. I put on a pair of socks and walked around the room one time and the bottom of my white socks were disgusting. The room was expensive and I definitely don’t feel like I got what I paid for.

Friendly staff. Clean cozy room although could do with a face lift as felt more tired than the other room that we stayed in the previous week. Small bathroom with the sink outside. Strangely the front door opened right into the sink area. Also, the A/C was on the wall, right above the bed. Finally, once again, the microwave oven was positioned right next to the sink, just like in the other room.

Top floor room with cathedral ceilings very spacious feel. Some staining on the carpet. Pool are was nice. Close to the rodeo grounds. Amazing views of the Absaroka Mountains and heart mountain from our west facing windows. Owners/staff were friendly and efficient. New go to place in Cody!

Good stay, especially if you have small kids. They offer pony rides around the huge property. Beautiful scenic cista can be seen if you walk around the property. Wifi is good around the office, but gets worse the farther you get from the office. We were in room 3 & the wifi was practically nonexistent. The "hot" water wasn't & the water pressure in the shower was lower than what i like. That being said, this was a good atay for 1 night & I would stay here again

Large comfortable, quiet and clean room. Beautiful views of the surrounding hillsides from our 2nd floor room. I was surprised to get fresh towels everyday! The included Friday night carriage ride was a treat! Saturday night live music was wonderful. Within walking distance to Old Trail Town. Only a couple of miles from Downtown Cody and museums. Awesome breakfast across the street at the Our Place Cafe. Can't wait to get back to Cody!

This first room they put me in was so bad I would not stay in it. The second room was doable but nothing to brag about. Staff was not very helpful and This place is much closer to a 5 or 6 rating than 9. I am not being overly picky but where do these high ratings come from? I would suggest a different hotel when in Cody.

The staff at this hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I’m on a 7000 mile road trip across the country from Michigan to California and back visiting the national parks. This staff was the best hands down. The rooms were pretty good too.

This Motel is right on the road so convenient. The rooms are clean & you can park outside. There is a pool outside too. Coffee is in reception but that’s not a problem. Walls are thin though and our neighbours were noisy so not a great night sleep. Not the Motels fault though.

This was a very basic and okay motel room. No coffee in room but available in office and it was good. Staff were very pleasant. The room is dated but clean. Price is okay compared to other motels in area.

Clean rooms, had a nice nostalgic charm, complementary wagon ride at night and a beautiful view of the mountains. I would have liked some kind of breakfast in the morning, but there is a diner across the street that opened at 7am. It was conveniently located and the drive to Yellowstone is breathtaking. They had huge icemachines.

Our room appeared to have been freshly painted. Very clean. Negative was no coffee in the room, we got up and left early for Yellowstone had to find coffee at a local convenience store, and the bathroom could have used a small table or something to set things on.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Reasonable prices, comfortable accommodations. It is a "Mom & Pop" style location, but really nicely done and very clean. The people there were very nice, and you can tell that they really care. We loved the room and out front parking. Their recommendations for dining were spot on. We definitely will stay here again when we get back to the area!

Great place to stay as it is close to the Vein Clinic. (2 min walk) There is free coffee in the office in the mornings. The beds are quite comfy and the shower was great. My only complaint are the squatty potties. There is no room between the seat and the water.
