We have stayed at many super 8 ‘s before, I am writing to request my money back, and I have pictures to prove, before I booked through Hotels .com I personally called the hotel to inquire about a few things, my husband has a bad knee so an elevator would be needed no problem they have one, well we get there and there is a sign on the elevator that looks like it’s been there a while. Out of order, so he gives us a room on the second floor, which means walking up and down, we get to the horrible room, there is no safe in the room so I have to carry our passports around and iPad ext, we were attending the mopar show, no working smoke detectors, that’s a problem, pick up the phone to call front desk, guess what phone doesn’t work. This place was in such disrepair and dirty, and not taken care of, with the mopar national in town, all the other hotels were full, so we just dealt with it. You will see by the photos how terrible it was, strangely enough coming up here from Canada, on one website it said this hotel was permanently closed, well it should be, no one cleaned our room, the towels were dirty we stayed for 3 nights, on the last night I went to the front desk and asked the nice housekeeper when do they clean the rooms, she said if it’s a stay over you must request it. This was at 175 Beacon hill Blvd new Cumberland PA, I’m trying to get ahold of super 8 owner to let him know

I originally picked this spot because they offered a “Free continental breakfast” I have been to many, & this one was the worst. Their breakfast included Plain bagels, Bread, 2 Cereal options, option to make your of waffle, Apple, and one kind of yogurt but you better be early because there were only 3 containers in the fridge. As far as drinks goes, I hope you like water because that’s the only option the Juice machine was empty, and so was the coffee machine. It also offers a Seasonal Pool, and I will give them credit for that it was clean, and Nice. Our room was alright, the AC worked and well, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, However the tv was broken. The bathroom was clean but toilet you had to hold the handle down the whole time to get it to flush all the way. Outside of the room there was a constant terrible odor around this whole place. The stairwells were filled with dead bugs, dirt and dust, and you could barely see out the windows because they were dirty and smeared. Check in and out Was easy but you always had to wait for someone because there was NEVER anyone at the front desk. There are people who are “Long Term Residents” that stay there so if something like that bothers you it’s probably not the place for you. So, Like I said if you are okay with a mediocre at most 2-star hotel Then the New Cumberland Super 8 will be good for you. But it’s not for us and we will be going back to Laquinta Inn and Suits in Hershey.

The staff are very friendly . The Manager Ehab is personable as well as the owner. The pool is very nice . The breakfast is a lil something for everyone .

TV didn't work in room 307 so they changed me to a room next-door (305) after I had already missed the game I wanted to watch. The toilet in that room leaked (clean) water all over the floor from the tank. There also was no luggage rack in that room. They moved me back to the room that the TV didn't work (307) at my request because I had already missed the game at that point. The tub in that room did not drain properly when you used the shower, and had a ring around it. The toilet in both rooms were dirty in the bowl. The light in the bathroom in 307 was flickering like a strobe light. The channels on the TV had no relation to the channel guide that was in the room. The common halls were filthy, and the elevator did not work. I feel like I should get at least a partial refund. The place is horrible.

Only issue was that the elevator was out of service. Hopefully, service has been called to get it running. Without the elevator it was a little inconvenient in handling luggage for the upper floors. (I stayed on the 2nd floor during my visit.)

This hotel is not for the faint of heart. The staff was helpful and attentive. But you should know that this hotel is not somewhere that I would recommend for travelers with young children as it is kind of a rough spot. There are transitional welfare families living there, although everyone that I met like that was polite enough except for the one couple that had a huge domestic screaming match in the parking lot 2 nights in a row. Screaming at the top of their lungs for over 20 minutes. My room smelled like a big ashtray although the appearance was fine and the bathroom had this great water pressure in the shower. The pool seemed to be professionally maintained and the residents and hotel customers were using it quite well. The grounds are pretty well kept and clean. If you look on the map you'll notice that there is a waste treatment plant not far from this property, at nights in a hot summer evening you can definitely smell it -although it was unrecognizable inside my room which I said smelled really bad like cigarettes. I was traveling there for the Carlisle Mopar nationals ( this motel is a full 15 miles away from the show BTW) an if you're a single man it's probably not a bad spot maybe if you're out with the fellas or you're a biker Harley dude but frankly I was worried about theft of my classic car. They had a Frig that didn’t work but it was replaced. The tv was 100 years old and had a speaker issue which was replaced with a 32 inch. Washer did not work. There were unsupervised kids in the pool. Seems like it was staff children that lived at the property. Nice children but anything can happen when children under 10 are unsupervised. Elevator did not work either.

Cigarette hole in blanket, towels smell of cigarette smoke, hair on bathroom floor, shower head falling off. Breakfast was near non existence! No coffee. Smelled marijuana by elevator, dirty outside, and lastly overall upgrading needed. Very dreary too.

The cleanliness of the room was extremely lacking. It smelled musty and the bathroom was incredibly stained, with a toilet with barely any water pressure. Flies were swarming in the room, including by the sink, and there was a stink bug on the inside of the window, thankfully behind the curtain. There were some closeby restaurants but unless you wanted to drive there, sidewalks were lacking. When I arrive to check in, there was no one behind the desk and I had to wait in my car for 10 minutes until someone arrived. There was not even a bell on the desk to see if anyone was around. I have stayed in some pretty inexpensive motels, but they at least tried to smell clean. This motel seems to have given up.

I travel constantly for work and this place was the worst I've ever stayed. From front desk issues checking in, to the filthy room. To add insult to injury, they charged my card 3 times for the one night stay that I now have to dispute.

Although the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was horrible. The first room that was "just cleaned for us" had stains on every piece of linen on the bed and in the bathroom. Big yellow and brown stains on anything white, and a large, hard, crusty, fluid-like stain on top of the comforter, if you can assume what we assumed, disgusting. We also asked for a smoke-free room, and the first room smelled horrendous. The second room didn't have a clean towel, and there was literally a dirty sock on the floor when we walked in. Overall, worth the two star rating they had and not worth my money.

We pulled in young children riding in the parking lot. The first floor grills in front of rooms doors open families living there cats in the window .very gross elevator we had 2 rooms the first set of rooms the one room had bugs on the AC then all on the sheets and bugs nesting under the pillows .The second room smelled of weed and the tv worked poorly very snowy went to the front desk the manager gave us new rooms on the 3rd floor The rooms where better one of the TVs had a broke screen we went to eat came back loud music doors on the first level opened another room a very high lady bagging on the door .Next morning went down stairs to get some coffee powdered creamer old bagels a waffle iron very dirty just very unprofessional from start to end Housekeepers out front smoking..customer Beware ...

This hotel was absolutely filthy. It smelt like smoke. There was hair all over the bed. There was hair all over the bathroom. The sheets were stained, the microwave and fridge was so filthy on the outside that we did even bother to open it.

I was told that the room had recently been renovated, but it sure didn't look like it was. The furniture was very scratched and beat. Everything looked old and worn out. The fridge had a lock on it, like it may have once been in a medical facility. I grabbed a towel off of the towel bar and it had a brown stain on it. I couldn't believe that it had actually been laundered and it made me wonder if the sheets were the same way. The whole room looked dirty and I don't even want to know what the white powder on the baseboard was. It was very noisy too. This was honestly the worst room that I had ever stayed in. My sister and I stopped here on our way home from Pittsburgh. She uses a wheeled walker and she found that the curb cut was misaligned and difficult to get over. The fridge had a lock on it, like it may have once been in a medical facility. I grabbed a towel off of the towel bar and it had a brown stain on it. I couldn't believe that it had actually been laundered and it made me wonder if the sheets were the same way. The whole room looked dirty and I don't even want to know what the white powder on the baseboard was. It was very noisy too. This was honestly the worst room that I had ever stayed in. My sister and I stopped here on our way home from Pittsburgh. She uses a wheeled walker and she found that the curb cut was misaligned and difficult to get over. The room they put me in 107 had a giant hole in the ceiling and water was coming from it..also ceiling tile was all over the bed and floor with water pouring down.. the lamb didn’t work had to use my cell phone light to reach a light that turned on Trish T the lady at the counter was sitting in the lobby on the phone and acted like I was bothering her during my check in and quickly check the worst room in hotel history that I ever seen the worst dump I want to share pictures but there no spot for them this hotel needs to be shut down or renovated with a bomb demolished

I originally picked this spot because they offered a “Free continental breakfast” I have been to many, & this one was the worst. Their breakfast included Plain bagels, Bread, 2 Cereal options, option to make your of waffle, Apple, and one kind of yogurt but you better be early because there were only 3 containers in the fridge. As far as drinks goes, I hope you like water because that’s the only option the Juice machine was empty, and so was the coffee machine. It also offers a Seasonal Pool, and I will give them credit for that it was clean, and Nice. Our room was alright, the AC worked and well, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, However the tv was broken. The bathroom was clean but toilet you had to hold the handle down the whole time to get it to flush all the way. Outside of the room there was a constant terrible odor around this whole place. The stairwells were filled with dead bugs, dirt and dust, and you could barely see out the windows because they were dirty and smeared. Check in and out Was easy but you always had to wait for someone because there was NEVER anyone at the front desk. There are people who are “Long Term Residents” that stay there so if something like that bothers you it’s probably not the place for you. So, Like I said if you are okay with a mediocre at most 2-star hotel Then the New Cumberland Super 8 will be good for you. But it’s not for us and we will be going back to Laquinta Inn and Suits in Hershey.

Would not stay here again. The curtains in the room had so many cobwebs and spiders I couldn’t tell you the last time they were cleaned. I had to kill multiple spiders before I felt safe to sleep in there. The room smelled like cigarettes and I don’t know what else. We left smelling like it. The bathroom light kept coming on at random times all through the night. Oddly the bed seemed to be the cleanest part of the room. We didn’t see any bed bugs but did find a spider in the one bed. Luckily our stay was only a for a few hours.

TV didn't work in room 307 so they changed me to a room next-door (305) after I had already missed the game I wanted to watch. The toilet in that room leaked (clean) water all over the floor from the tank. There also was no luggage rack in that room. They moved me back to the room that the TV didn't work (307) at my request because I had already missed the game at that point. The tub in that room did not drain properly when you used the shower, and had a ring around it. The toilet in both rooms were dirty in the bowl. The light in the bathroom in 307 was flickering like a strobe light. The channels on the TV had no relation to the channel guide that was in the room. The common halls were filthy, and the elevator did not work. I feel like I should get at least a partial refund. The place is horrible.

we checked into the room and it was stifling in there, no problem we just turned up the a/c, after a long drive down from Boston we couldn't wait to take showers, except no cold water at all in shower, went to call desk but phone didn't work. sent up maintennance he adjusted the handle, still no cold water but different possition on the handle. microwave was missing from room which we could have used to thaw out everything from the fridge that froze everything no matter what setting. they ended up moving our room and the best I can say about that is it had cold water. very poor upkeep. I guess I've learned my lesson and will stay away from any Wyndham affiliated hotels. very disappointed

We pulled in young children riding in the parking lot. The first floor grills in front of rooms doors open families living there cats in the window .very gross elevator we had 2 rooms the first set of rooms the one room had bugs on the AC then all on the sheets and bugs nesting under the pillows .The second room smelled of weed and the tv worked poorly very snowy went to the front desk the manager gave us new rooms on the 3rd floor The rooms where better one of the TVs had a broke screen we went to eat came back loud music doors on the first level opened another room a very high lady bagging on the door .Next morning went down stairs to get some coffee powdered creamer old bagels a waffle iron very dirty just very unprofessional from start to end Housekeepers out front smoking..customer Beware ...

Shortly after checking i flushed the toilet and there was no water pressure to fill the tank. Called the front desk and was told there was a water pipe break. I was told the water pressure would be returned in an hour. The water was on and off all night. My guest wanted to shower before work but that was happening. The staff didn't inform me of the situation. I had to call them. The other issue was, with the extreme cold temperatures the heat was not on in the room ahead of my arrival. It took 2 hours for the room to get to a temperature to take our coats off.

Front desk supervisor was rude and inconvenienced by having to get off the couch to check is in. Hotel was filthy and smelled. Kids ran wild with no shoes on and followed us all the way to our room and i had to tell them to go away. When i said something to the employee she said they live here they always do that. We ended up not staying due to the disgusting conditions.

We did not even check into the property, changed my mind when arriving at the lobby. The furniture in the lobby was old and dirty and had furniture covers to hide the condition. I asked for the key so we could view the room before checking in and the door would not open. That was enough for me to not even check in.

This was by far the worst hotel ive stayed in. It took 45 minutes just to check in by 3 different people!!!! They didn’t know what they were doing including the manager! My door lock was broke so I could not lock my hotel room. After telling the front desk all I got was great what’s next…. No new room no I’m sorry nothing. Room was not cleaned upon entering so we had to wait another hour to get our room!!!!! No one was of any help and they even felt put out that I was asking for help!!!! Stay away from this hotel!!!!!!!

The price was great. Breakfast was ok from what I’d seen, didn’t really partake in it. Beds were eh, but it’s a hotel so that’s expected. Hotel was clean on arrival. No daily housekeeping as beds weren’t tidied, trash not emptied, stuff restocked, etc, during the day. My 2 biggest issues were our key had to be reset daily. The front desk staff said it’s a weak magnet in them & being near cell phones, AirPods, maybe even other cards, could disrupt them! That needs an upgrade then. Also the one time someone was away from the desk, a number for an employee & name were left on the sign, but that employee wasn’t on duty that day. Also need overnight clerks or something. At 2:30-3 am we were awakened by a loud argument outside near us (we were on 2nd floor), with lots of yelling & inappropriate language, and that continued for at least half an hour. I feel like if they have long stay renters, there needs to be staff on hand at night to monitor situations such as this & proceeed with whatever actions are necessary. Also request for adjoining or connecting rooms not granted.

Stephanie was very nice and helpful besides her, the place is messy, Bunch of rooms with the doors open, my room got flooded with water coming from the ceiling It was the worst experience in a motel. I heard people complaining saying there's always something with this place. They moved me to a different room but the smell was awful, so I just left, They refused to refund me the days I didn't stay there even though I left because of the conditions of it. The leak inside the room it was so severe that the office entrance started getting flooded as well. just chaos I wouldn't suggest staying here, you won't enjoy it I would post some pictures but it doesn't let me

Flies were swarming in the room, including by the sink, and there was a stink bug on the inside of the window, thankfully behind the curtain. There were some closeby restaurants but unless you wanted to drive there, sidewalks were lacking. When I arrive to check in, there was no one behind the desk and I had to wait in my car for 10 minutes until someone arrived. There was not even a bell on the desk to see if anyone was around. I have stayed in some pretty inexpensive motels, but they at least tried to smell clean. This motel seems to have given up.

This hotel is not for the faint of heart. The staff was helpful and attentive. But you should know that this hotel is not somewhere that I would recommend for travelers with young children as it is kind of a rough spot. There are transitional welfare families living there, although everyone that I met like that was polite enough except for the one couple that had a huge domestic screaming match in the parking lot 2 nights in a row. Screaming at the top of their lungs for over 20 minutes. My room smelled like a big ashtray although the appearance was fine and the bathroom had this great water pressure in the shower. The pool seemed to be professionally maintained and the residents and hotel customers were using it quite well. The grounds are pretty well kept and clean. If you look on the map you'll notice that there is a waste treatment plant not far from this property, at nights in a hot summer evening you can definitely smell it -although it was unrecognizable inside my room which I said smelled really bad like cigarettes. I was traveling there for the Carlisle Mopar nationals ( this motel is a full 15 miles away from the show BTW) an if you're a single man it's probably not a bad spot maybe if you're out with the fellas or you're a biker Harley dude but frankly I was worried about theft of my classic car. This hotel is not for the faint of heart. The staff was helpful and attentive. But you should know that this hotel is not somewhere that I would recommend for travelers with young children as it is kind of a rough spot. There are transitional welfare families living there, although everyone that I met like that was polite enough except for the one couple that had a huge domestic screaming match in the parking lot 2 nights in a row. Screaming at the top of their lungs for over 20 minutes. My room smelled like a big ashtray although the appearance was fine and the bathroom had this great water pressure in the shower. The pool seemed to be professionally maintained and the residents and hotel customers were using it quite well. The grounds are pretty well kept and clean. Cigarette hole in blanket, towels smell of cigarette smoke, hair on bathroom floor, shower head falling off. Breakfast was near non existence! No coffee. Smelled marijuana by elevator, dirty outside, and lastly overall upgrading needed. Very dreary too.

Room was ok at best. No bugs so that's a plus. Fridge and microwave worked. Customer service was not great. The workers acted like we were an inconvenience being there. Garbage all around the outside. $300 for two nights was absurd but cheapest around with everyone price gouging for a concert/ holiday weekend. Probably wouldn't stay again but it worked for what we needed it for.

This hotel has seen better days and should be torn down to make room for a better use. The night staff was very good. Morning staff not so much. Very dirty and smelly. Had waffles for breakfast but no syrup. Would not ever consider staying here again. Ever. Originally scheduled for Holiday Inn express but Expedia overbooked and transferred us here while driving to location. Did not have time to look at reviews or would have passed on this hotel.

I originally picked this spot because they offered a “Free continental breakfast” I have been to many, & this one was the worst. Their breakfast included Plain bagels, Bread, 2 Cereal options, option to make your of waffle, Apple, and one kind of yogurt but you better be early because there were only 3 containers in the fridge. As far as drinks goes, I hope you like water because that’s the only option the Juice machine was empty, and so was the coffee machine. It also offers a Seasonal Pool, and I will give them credit for that it was clean, and Nice. Our room was alright, the AC worked and well, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, However the tv was broken. The bathroom was clean but toilet you had to hold the handle down the whole time to get it to flush all the way. Outside of the room there was a constant terrible odor around this whole place. The stairwells were filled with dead bugs, dirt and dust, and you could barely see out the windows because they were dirty and smeared. Check in and out Was easy but you always had to wait for someone because there was NEVER anyone at the front desk. There are people who are “Long Term Residents” that stay there so if something like that bothers you it’s probably not the place for you. So, Like I said if you are okay with a mediocre at most 2-star hotel Then the New Cumberland Super 8 will be good for you. But it’s not for us and we will be going back to Laquinta Inn and Suits in Hershey.

AC wasn’t functioning properly, cleaning supplies left in the bathroom, and shower curtain smelled of cigarettes, but hair still in the tub and around the toilet, pillow case had dried goop. Free breakfast was very limited: waffle maker was out of order, fruit flies on the juice machine. Staff was helpful with our late checkin, and amicable when told why were leaving.

We pulled in young children riding in the parking lot. The first floor grills in front of rooms doors open families living there cats in the window .very gross elevator we had 2 rooms the first set of rooms the one room had bugs on the AC then all on the sheets and bugs nesting under the pillows .The second room smelled of weed and the tv worked poorly very snowy went to the front desk the manager gave us new rooms on the 3rd floor The rooms where better one of the TVs had a broke screen we went to eat came back loud music doors on the first level opened another room a very high lady bagging on the door .Next morning went down stairs to get some coffee powdered creamer old bagels a waffle iron very dirty just very unprofessional from start to end Housekeepers out front smoking..customer Beware ...

I was told that the room had recently been renovated, but it sure didn't look like it was. The furniture was very scratched and beat. Everything looked old and worn out. The fridge had a lock on it, like it may have once been in a medical facility. I grabbed a towel off of the towel bar and it had a brown stain on it. I couldn't believe that it had actually been laundered and it made me wonder if the sheets were the same way. The whole room looked dirty and I don't even want to know what the white powder on the baseboard was. It was very noisy too. This was honestly the worst room that I had ever stayed in. My sister and I stopped here on our way home from Pittsburgh. She uses a wheeled walker and she found that the curb cut was misaligned and difficult to get over. Breakfast was pretty basic, with waffles, cereal, and toast. The tables and counters were dirty. The health inspector needs to make a visit here. In summary, I would suggest that you avoid this place. Note: I took lots of photos, but the app won't let me upload them.

We checked in, saw our room, and left. The condition of the property was unsanitary and deplorable. The lobby smelled of old smoke mixed with cheap cleaning solution. The elevator had dirt and grime on the walls, door, floor, and buttons. The room smelled of old urine and smoke. The carpet had a big hole in it. The bathroom had hair and dirt on the floor. The toilet did not flush. We reported it to the front desk clerk and asked for a refund. We showed her the pictures we took. She informed us that she was not aware there was a hole in the carpet or that the room was filthy. She said she was unable to give us a refund due to a non-refundable cancellation policy despite the atrocious conditions of the property. She offered us another room, but given the general unsanitary conditions of the property we declined. We asked that she make a note on the account. We asked that it be done before we left. She stated, “Or, you could just leave,” and told us that we weren’t allowed to see what she was writing. We asked for her name and title and reminded her that she is in the hospitality business and was being unprofessional.

Hotel is dirty with cracks and dirt and dust every where. Our ac in the first room did not work. There was hair in the shower. Toliet didn’t want to flush properly pool was the best part but there was peeling paint every where. The floor on the wall way was coming up. There was spider webs and spiders all thru out the room. Would not stay here again! Also the breakfast was lacking only had 2 cereal a picture of milk in the fridge that looked old. Flys and nats inside the juice machine. There was waffle mix but I choose to check out instead.

Sink faucet only put out hot water. Used tub faucet for cold water. Hotel had long term tenants. Our room was "non-smoking" but reaked of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was packaged 'Honey buns', waffle iron out of service. Bread stale. Not worth any amount of money. No staff to speak of.

Arrived on 6/13 for 2 night stay. Charged 15.00 per night for roll away bed(stained)Changed rooms 3 times in a 2 night stay. 1st room dirty, fridge stunk, spider nest/web in corner where carpet was torn up, nicotine dripping down walls, crumbs/food on floor,a/c not working great. 2nd room a/c not working, toilet not flushing, room was smaller than 1st and we were 3 people in room, 3rd room was much better but tv wasnt working correctly, screen "snowy" and TV would shut off randomly & could only get 2 fuzzy channel's.
