My wife and I have just returned from a short trip to Bowness, staying at this lovely guest house. On first impressions it is a nice looking property with a good, spacious carpark, and central between Windermere and Bowness which was a relatively easy walk to both. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean, the service by Pamela was exceptional, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. I would highly recommend a stay here, we will certainly be back soon.

Exceptional guest house. Warmly greeted, room was spotless and recently modernised. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was piping hot. We have stayed at several guest houses and hotels in the area and this was the best by far. Parking was a great benefit.

We had an amazing time with our few days stay. Pam made us feel very welcomed and did her best to ensure we had all the things we needed for an unforgettable experience. Quality prevails everywhere at the property whether from room furniture to the tea coffee and snacks. Daily breakfasts were excellent and resembled a 5 star hotel experience. Location couldn’t be better and parking was provided free. We highly recommend this property and big thanks to the owner Pamela.

We spent two nights here and loved it. The convenience of the spacious car park was our first joy - there's nothing worse than trying to park in a busy area. Our room was lovely. It overlooked a bubbling stream and the two lounge chairs overlooking it invited us to sit and enjoy. The bathroom was modern and clean, the room comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good too. Shout out to the lovely lady who was serving us in the breakfast room each morning. We didn't get your name but your smile lit up the room. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is ideally situated between Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere. Hosts and staff were really helpful and friendly. Hotel and roomsl were spotless, modern and very well kept. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection and top quality. Would definitely stay again.

A very satisfied stay at the Hawksmoor Guest House. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked from scratch. Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. We would highly recommend a stay here!! The Hollands!!

We could not fault the guest house. The room, No 14, had everything we needed and the bathroom was lovely, everything was spotlessly clean. Pam greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts we had were of a high standard. We would highly recommend.

Nice room but furniture a bit tired. Bed very comfy. Bathroom fab. Big windows facing a busy road but no blinds to draw for privacy. Had to draw full curtains to get in and out of bed and to visit bathroom. Good choice of breakfast served by with friendly and cheerful staff

Had an amazing 3 days at this lovely guesthouse for my partner's 30th birthday as a surprise. Pamela made us feel soo welcome and even got my partner some chocolates and a not for her which was lovely ! The customer service was outstanding and felt like she went above and beyond to help our needs. The room (room 14) was outstanding with a lush balcony and a view that was perfect with the weather! It had accommodated everything we needed and was clean to a high standard, the mini fridge was ideal, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was top notch especially the TV in the wall of the bathtub was a great touch and worked well besides the channels not registering, air conditioning was ideal and the just felt like a good room, Breakfast that was also includes with the price was outstanding, a good selection of cooked breakfast and cerials with tea, coffee and juces, I personally enjoyed the Eggs Benedict! Overally pleasantly happy with our stay and was a special time and I would deffo go back to Hawksmoor if we get the opportunity! It's located in a brilliant location,.15 minutes either side and you have Windermere town and bowness. And finally Pamalea was an amazing host and can't thank her enough for everything !! Can't highly recommend this place !!

Absolutely amazing stay , so comfortable, Suzanna and Pamela are amazing hosts , couldn't do enough for us. From male the room gorgeous everyday to sorting taxis and giving the warmest welcome every morning at breakfast. My husband is always looking at facilities and cleanliness and said it was by far the best. Toiletries were a lovely touch and every comfort catered for. We will definitely be back

The hotel is located (10mis walk from both) between Windermere and Bowness, so it was convenient for us to choose restaurant options in both areas. The hotel was very clean and with full of hospitality from manager, Pam. She was very kind to accept our early check in and provide appropriate service for us.

Had a lovely stay at the Hawksmoor. Check in with Pamela was stress free. We could walk (uphill) into Bowness and Windermere in 15 minutes, so location was perfect. The rooms were well equipped with toiletries, tea & coffee and ironing boards a readily available on each floor. Breakfast was very good, options were perfect with fruit, yogurt, cereals and cooked on offer. The staff were all polite and helpful. Access to our room (5) was via fairly narrow & steep stairs, which was hard work with a heavy bag (we were away for 8 days in total, I don't overpack, regardless of what hubby says :)), so if you are taking luggage or have mobility issues may be worth requesting a lower floor room. All in all, had a fabulous stay, loved Windermere & would definitely recommend. We would love to return.

Access to our room (5) was via fairly narrow & steep stairs, which was hard work with a heavy bag (we were away for 8 days in total, I don't overpack, regardless of what hubby says :)), so if you are taking luggage or have mobility issues may be worth requesting a lower floor room. All in all, had a fabulous stay, loved Windermere & would definitely recommend. We would love to return.

A very satisfied stay at the Hawksmoor Guest House. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked from scratch. Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. We would highly recommend a stay here!! The Hollands!!

The hotel is ideally situated between Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere. Hosts and staff were really helpful and friendly. Hotel and roomsl were spotless, modern and very well kept. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection and top quality. Would definitely stay again.

This is the first time I stay in a guest house, B&B as I am a high end hotel customer & to my utmost surprise I was delighted with the reception received by Pamela & her staff, her willingness to locate areas I wished to visit and her all round helpfulness. The breakfast was stunning which included Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon fruit, yogurt etc etc…I would highly recommend a stay @ this Guest House.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and property were clean. Only negative was the shower was difficult to control the water temp and the switch to turn it on was above the bathroom door on the outside of the bathroom and this wasn't explained. Otherwise excellent.

We had a fabulous stay at the Hawksmoor. The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. There were tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, as well as biscuits and the nice little addition of a fridge for our wine ;) Even the toiletries in the bathroom were top quality products. We were given a room right by the main entrance and dining room, so we were concerned about noise but there was nothing to worry about. We slept very well, undisturbed in our very comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Special shout out to Pam, who provided tea and homemade biscuits on our early arrival, while were waiting for our room to become available. She looked after us really well and even made some useful recommendations for day trips. Thanks so much for making our girls weekend away extra special.

My wife and I have stayed here a few times now and I've no doubt we will again. We always stay in room 4 on the second floor. The only problem being that the shower door doesn't close properly but everything else about the room is good. The staff were as always excellent. The cooked to order breakfast was very nice and with a decent choice. The Hotel is pretty much halfway between Bowness and Windermere village with its own car park, meaning a walk to either is an easy ten minutes.

We first came last year to this hotel & loved it that much we stayed again this year. The hotel is in a perfect location for us to explore Windermere where there are lovely restaurants & shops. As soon as you arrive you are greeted with a smile & quick check in there is no reception as such you just ring a buzzer. All staff are very friendly & chatty & help you as & when necessary. The breakfast choice was plentiful catering for all diets, breakfast made fresh to order was hot & good produce from the local area. The room was a decent size,clean & everything you needed. Bathroom spacious & clean. Thank you so much for another great stay we will be back

Breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit x Michaela cooked eggs perfectly fried scrambled or poached. Parking secure. We were able to use the excellent bus service to visit most places. We would book here again.
