La Quinta Inn by Wyndham New Orleans West Bank / Gretna

All the rooms smell very bad, some like mildew. Staff was nice but the building is very old and run down, beware of the elevator!

Room was ok, but the bed skirt had stains. The tub had cigarette Burns where someone apparently was sitting on the toilet smoking and placing their cigarette on the tub. Clean sheets, pillowcases. Really other than the stained bed skirt and the cigarette Burns. The room was fairly clean. The biggest convenience was the free parking and shuttle to the cruise terminal.

We had a rm downstairs, which was great, but the rm ceiling had what looked like black mold, we were next to the pool The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. We were able to leave are car there while we went on a cruize. They arranged for ride to and from the port for 10 dollars a person. The continental breakfast was good. The rm was cleN

The pictures are all incorrect! This place stinks so bad, there was urine all in the walk way, the elevator floor bottom was about to cave in, the ac was broke, it was very disgusting! We did not stay! We got a refund and left! Is very old and just nasty!

DO NOT BOOK HERE! You all had zero business renting Room 121 in the condition it was in. At first I thought the stench in the room was mold and mildew until I discovered a large stain on the floor that was in fact dog urine. Literally drenched the carpet. The mirror in the room had also been ripped off the wall. The bathroom reeked of urine. TV kept crapping out. No refrigerator or microwave that was promised in the booking. Found hair and dead roaches throughout the room. There was obviously a flood in the room as well. Poor attempt to cover it up. The grounds are FILTHY. Inoperable vehicles, drug dealing and prostitution are allowed here. The pool was FILTHY too. Skip the “free” breakfast and eat at IHOP instead. I’m taking this to Wyndham corporate. This owner deserves to have his franchise license terminated. Totally disgusting. Management should be fired too because they are NOT actively addressing the issues. They just ignore them and rent the rooms anyway. I’m sure the local health department would like to stop by and inspect. I’ve stayed here many times in the past but this motel went severely downhill within the last year.

I stay here when in town visiting my kids are just coming to see friends in my home city, Hotel definitely needs upgrades, room walls need to be clean they littered with all kinds of things from previous guest I took a towel and wiped some spilled water off the floor and the towel turned midnight black, it’s really dirty and unsanitized. I asked house keeping to drop me off some towels and they never did and this has happened on a few of my stays. Honestly I don’t think I’ll be returning to this property and I’m normally there at least twvice a month they know me very well. It really needs to be shut down and redone, Oh yeah and ice machine has been broken for at least a year sitting in the middle of the hotel for nothing and the area it’s in is litered and filthy.

Furniture was old. Room smelled dirty like the carpet needed shampooing. Wash cloth was filthy. Thankfully I had my own. Was put on third floor with a broken elevator and clerk says the stairs are not bad. Im 63 with bad knees, my companion 79 and blind. No one available to help with our bags

I spent the weekend there. The cleaning was never done. I asked about an ice bucket, I received 2 paper coffee cups for ice. The towels were nonexistent. We asked for towels until 9:00 pm. Never ever got any clean towels. The room door had been kicked in and the latch was so bent there was no way to use it. I told them on checkout it was the dirtiest place I had ever stayed in. The ice machines on each floor are a joke. Not working. In order to get ice I had to walk across the parking lot to the lobby. I am an elderly female with disabilities. I don’t blame the staff, I blame management. Please don’t stay here. It is worst than horrible.

Don’t waste your time filling out the online forms for check in as they make you go through the whole process again at the counter so big F****** waste of time. Elevator was a scary ride as the floor is missing pieces and the unit goes up and then drops a couple of inches below the actual floor. There appears to be blood on the floor in the room, the room has no coffee or cusps for the coffee maker in the room. No trash can in the room. For a Wyndham property this is not good and we won’t come back.

I’m nothing short of APPALLED that hotels like this even exist in this day and age. Having stayed at other La Quinta locations, I expected a CLEAN, COMFORTABLE room to lay my head for the night. Well, the room was FILTHY, having blood and OTHER bodily fluid stains EVERYWHERE from the comforters to the pillows to the rugs, and even the walls were not spared. Hair from previous patrons coated the bathroom sink, and even were found on the bed (GROSS). A/C did not function properly and the shower was both cold and terrible water pressure. Of course the telephone was disconnected, so couldn’t inform reception of this mess but to walk over in person. Couldn’t care less and offered no solution. Then upon returning to the room, my room key NO LONGER worked, and had to return to reception to have it activated. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED in my 30yrs and 100’s of hotel stays.

By far the dirtiest, grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The carpet was severely stained and it was clear nobody really cleaned in between guests. There was food mess on the tables and the bathtub was

This location is a disgrace to the LaQuinta Brand and Hotels.com. We booked two rooms. It took 30 minutes and a phone call to Hotels.com to prove that we'd paid for 2 rooms even though we had a printed page that clearly showed it. One of those rooms was completely unusable and had to be changed. Both of the rooms we ended up with were filthy and falling apart. Carpet was dirty, torn and coming up. Mold in and around the tubs and toilets. Towel bar and toilet paper holders were broken and unusable. One room had smoke detector removed and hanging by the wire, in the other room it was missing completely. One of the rooms had clearly been smoked in and was very musty. One of the beds was broken with one end of the mattress sitting on the floor. The face of the nightstand had fallen off and was left along side the bed. If we hadn't pre-paid, already moved our belongings in from our motorcycles and we weren't so tired from traveling all day, we would have found another hotel. This place is terrible!

I recently took an impromptu trip over the holiday weekend and decided I’d stay here. Upon arrival, I could tell from the parking lot how large of a mistake I had made. The lobby itself was dirty and poorly maintained but I still had hope for the room. I check in, get my room keys and trek over to where I’ll be staying. The exterior hallways were littered with trash, the sidewalks were cracked BUT the pool was lively - so again I hold out hope for the room itself. When I tell you that the room was comically in disrepair, it doesn’t begin to paint the proper picture. When I opened the door, roaches scurried across the floor and under the carpet. ALL of the light fixtures had been ripped out of the wall. There was an unusual ‘office chair’ by one of the beds, that was covered in who knows what. The carpet was FILTHY, and the bathroom tub appeared to be splattered with feces. It all felt like I had stumbled into a prank show and I was being setup. The BEST part was that housekeeping was ‘cleaning’ the rooms next to mine. No idea what they were doing, or what ‘standard’ the facility is being held to.

One of the filthiest places I’ve ever been. First room TV did not work, but was by far the worst problem, room smelled like urine , was filthy. I got another room bc of the TV. It was just as filthy, smelled like weed. There were Black and Mild wrappers all over the floor. It DEFINITELY had not been swept are mooped, couldn’t walk on the floor without your shoes. Pubic hair on the toilets, spilled sticky drinks all over the floor. The only thing they MAY have been done were they made the beds, I doubt they changed the sheets. If it had not been so late that I checked in and knew I was leaving early the next morning there’s no way I weighed have stayed here. The bathtub is also covered with hair. Not worth $20 much less $120. I have NEVER left a review on anything in my life. This place is so bad I had to warn people. DO NOT STAY HERE

Room looked run down, sheets on both beds dirty, roaches, bathroom tub leaked. No wash rags, when I went to the front desk to ask for some they told me they didn’t have any more. Had an iron board but no iron. If I didn’t pre pay I would have went to another hotel. Looks Nothing like the pictures, exact opposite.

There was no phone in room, no internet. Not all outlets work. Outlet for hairdryer did not work. No ironing board. Bathroom floor needed work.

Room was awful, tv didn’t work, cigarette burns in the sheets and curtains. Front Desk Manager was rude, very disrespectful, and unprofessional .

First room we got assigned was no air conditioning it was 95° outside it was at least 95 in the room second room there were stains on the carpet stains on the mattresses one towel for a two bed room. The hot water would not turn off in the bathtub there was a table falling apart and part of the counter in the bathroom was falling apart overall it was disgusting the staff was extremely friendly and there were no bed bugs

The room stank. There was no phone. The door lock was broken. I could hear people in the parking lot shouting and laughing until 3 am. I do not recommend staying here!

TV wasnt working properly, staff could not fix the issue or replace the unit. The room smelled like cigarette smoke (our clothes reeked after we left). I requested a discount for these issues and they were unable/unwilling do anything about it. In addition, I tried to find a grocery store close by and ended up in a very rough area, a couple of blocks away from the hotel.

I was a little concerned when i first got here. I walked into the room and the carpet was wet and it smelled bad. I then noticed there was no smoke alarm. Im a light sleeper thankfully. And on the second night, we had an adjoining room door get hit so hard by the other guest in another room, that it popped the door open in our room. That was when we found out the door didn’t lock and the reason the chair was positioned there was to keep the door.shut. stayed because it was pet.friendly.

It was terrible!! Room was humid with a moldy smell. Toilet was semi broken, asked for a turn down service and it never came. They came and collected the towels but didn’t clean anything. The tub was clogged. The advertisement said it had a fridge and microwave, IT DIDN’T!! I had to search out the room cleaners for additional toilet paper. Calling the front desk is useless, because they either don’t answer or answer and leave you on hold! I wish I had more hands so I can give this hotel 4 thumbs ENTHUSIASTICALLY DOWN!!!! 👎👎👎👎

It was not good. Everything seemed fine till we got to the room. There were only two small pillows on the king size bed, and some of the plug-ins did not work. The blow dryer sounded like it was about to die when I used it.

First room they gave me with king size bed had an a/c unit that didn't work properly and the TV didn't work. They had to downgrade me to a double bed room. In this room the a/c worked but was noisy as can be. They room also wasn't cleaned properly and had a smell about it. Like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. They need to tear this place down and start over.

Was not allowed to check in at 3PM - had to wait until 5:45PM. Missed dinner and other plans, through off the whole itinerary. Staff was rude, unfriendly, and unconcerned.

I booked 2 nights stay online & was charged, but when I went to check in, the front desk lady told be she had given my room away because they ran out of rooms. She wasn’t even apologetic but just spoke matter of factly. I had to find another place to stay. I’M STILL WAITING FOR MY FULL REFUND FROM 1 WEEK AGO!!!

The lady at the front counter was really sweet and helpful.

We called and asked for towels because we had ZERO amenities in our room. When delivered we were told not to call the front desk and to come down to the lobby because they didn’t have enough staff. We waited in line to check in for over an hour. The clerk was rude. We will not be returning.

I’ve stayed at La Quintas before so I knew what expect. However this hotel is awful! My room has no phone, no toilet paper holder, no fridge, very outdated and over not in great condition. When asked about these things I was told that some rooms are “under renovation”. I asked for 2 extra pillows and 1 blanket and the lady at the front desk working the night shift was extremely rude and told me the hotel had no extras! When I called the front desk first thing in the morning (from my own phone) to ask to speak to a manager, the lady who answered was a manager. I figured I could just explain everything to her and she would be understanding instead of notifying corporate. Well that got me no where. She proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I never asked to switch rooms at 9 p.m with children and that this was my fault. When I asked how this is my fault I don’t work there she proceeded to yell at me and told me to stop cutting her off. I eventually said this conversation is getting no where she agreed and hung up the phone. With any luck this hotel records phone calls! I do not recommend to ever stay in this hotel even if your expectations are low!

I asked for 1st floor and got 2nd floor the room was horrible so I went back to front desk then I was given a 1st floor room. The 1st floor room was even worse with bugs in tub and on bathroom floor. I back to front desk and was given another 2nd floor room. I had to go back and get clean sheets and blankets after returning from the store from getting Lysol and Cleaning supplies and I cleaned my own room. I went to get food from a restaurant which is located walking distance in front hotel. Upon returning my suitcase was dug in. 2am we was awaken by security kicking the door trying to make entry. I was scared and nervous. My fiance opened the door and it was security telling us we need to leave room because we don't belong in that room and he proceeded to say he entered our room when we wasn't there and left our door open (wide). I could not go back to sleep the rest of the night. Then 3am I get a phone call from front desk saying I need to switch back the first original room because the lady at front desk didn't put it in system. 9am Saturday morning housekeeping came in my room while I was changing and he didn't knock and couldn't speak fluent English. I had to go. It was horrible horrible horrible

Horrible customer service skills from the staff , older lady with short hair has very poor customer skills , how she talks to guests is unacceptable, she basically got upset because I asked her if we could enjoy the breakfast till 10 am , she was trying to shut it down minutes sooner , told me I ain’t goin to tell her how to do her job , and that all she cared is about her timing , my husband also had an issue with her he was being polite walking around her mopping area and he said I will walk around it so he don’t step in the wet areas she replied “ you already did Sir” so rude and her behavior is unacceptable, when I told her I will complaint about her she replied I don’t care you can call whoever you want ? This in California would be unacceptable, no matter how bad you hate your job you don’t treat customers like that . Front desk lady with long curl hair and glasses a was also on the phone with her ear piece all the time , you can hear her personal conversation the whole time you are there dealing with her customer service poor skills as well . She told me not to take food to the room which I completely understand but didn’t read the sign to be honest , she said the sign is right there in case you need to read it again , ? What kind of smart ass kind of response is that ?  And the room , smells horrible like pee , old musk carpet and old cigarettes , a total disappointment I wish I would of never stayed here , it was an embarrassment to my cousin whom was visiting

Rat droppings and damage. Broken furniture and TV. Gunshots all night, prostitution going on. People yelling and banging on door all night.

This hotel is located perfectly for the sights and sounds of New Orleans. It was relatively quite and safe. It's located next to a mall (walking distance). I was not pleased with the smell of the room.

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in which was unfortunate as I usually like La Quinta Inn as a rule. The room was filthy with stains all over, even chips all over the carpet. The curtains were ripped and stained, we found what i chose to believe was hand cream down the nightstand. The door looked as though it had been broken into. There was water damage all over the room and even the towel racks were all broken. The one plus was the location.

The area surrounding the property is not great, but acceptable for the price range. Rooms have seen better days

I liked that it was close to the French Quarter.

THE AREA AROUND THE BUILDING WAS CLEAN THERE WAS BAD PEOPLE STAYING AND HANGING AROUND THE AREA.

The staff was SO nice! We arrived into town much earlier than check in time but the two working the front were so kind and let us know when a room was cleaned up and available as soon as possible. Each staff we encountered was just generally so nice as well. We didn’t rent a car for this trip so the location was pretty optimal for bus transportation or Lyft drop off/pick up.

One of the dirtiest LaQuinta's I have stayed in. People working on their cars right outside of doors. Property felt unsafe. Found hotel staff help curled up on a dining room chair, hoodie over head on her phone. Didn't even look up to see if I needed anything. Their is a reason that this place is cheap.

First thing this facility should be listed as a motel, not hotel. Elevator is not in sight. Shower water does not get warm. Beds are smaller than queen size. Front desk not helping especially at night. I waited half hour to get checked in since I arrived in the middle of the night. The waffle maker was not working, breakfast choices were limited to boiled eggs and cold cereal. Overall I would not go back.

Check in went smooth, however, upon entering the room the smell of cigarettes was very strong and AC unit was very loud and sounded as if it was breaking apart. Got another room and cigarette burns were on the bathtub. No towels. Comforter contained dry blood, removed and asked for another, took another day for them to deliver a "new" comforter. Continental breakfast advertised was supposed to start at 7am and was delayed almost an hour (was here for a conference so did not have time to wait) and worker who set up continental breakfast was very rude and loudly stating she "is not on duty so shouldn't be setting up breakfast and doesn't care." Awful hotel, would not recommend.

Room was overall dirty - stained bed sheets and towels, hair in bathtub and around sink before we used it. We had to get our own towels during the stay because staff did bring to our room. Basic necessities also missing from the room such as a garbage can. We would not stay again or recommend no matter how cheap.

While the room itself was clean, they misrepresented the type of room I would get. I specifically booked a room that had a small fridge and a microwave because I’m on a special diet, and the room had neither of those. I talked to the front desk about it and they said they would have someone bring up those appliances, and no one ever did. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. Our TV had no remote control and when they gave us a remote control, it didn’t work. I probably won’t stay at a La Quinta Inn again.

Property looks worn and dated. Could use a fresh coat of paint everywhere. Trash everywhere. Breakfast is ok. This past Monday morning desk crew leaves a lot to be desired as far as friendliness and customer service.
