Felt clean and safe. Staff was very friendly. Gym was not great just because of how tight the space is. Felt awkward to workout when someone else is in there just because you’re right next to each other but I’m just grateful there was a gym so not complaining about that

Check in was a breeze. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly! The property is pet friendly and smoke free, and they offered all the services you could need. On site laundry, it wasn’t to expensive, and very accommodating laundry room/gym. Great location, and easy to navigate to anywhere in Huntsville.

First time staying at a Sonesta. The lack of any lobby/meeting space with friends was a disappointment. No amenities other than free coffee. No ice machines and ice makers in fridge had no water hookup. No continental breakfast. Room was nice and clean, shower was nice and hot, real good water pressure. Overall, nice room but lack of normal complimentary amenities will keep me from staying here again.

I love how Sonesta had everything I need for a ling term stay. Pots, pans, small gym. The staff has been bery nice and helpful. I liked the area its in. I felt safe and the stores I needed were close by. I would recommend Sonesta for short or long term visits.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and the queen bed room was spacious with a full refrigerator/freezer. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. Free parking in a large lot too.

Railroad track near but did not hear the trains go by when inside the rooms. Free coffee for the tenants. Great staff. Place is hidden by another different hotel chain so might be difficult to locate for some people. Even have a free washer and dryer section for the tenants.

My wife and I arrived at 3 and after a short check in, entered the room. There was a strong smell of mold. We thought maybe it was because it had been shut up for a while. Nope, it was bad and made our allergies act up. We should have asked for another room but were tired and just wanted to relax. The smell never lessened and keep the window opened hoping to alleviate the odor. We didn't want the window open since there was no screen. When we took a shower, there was moisture all over the mirror, walls and cabinets. There was no exhaust fan, or it wasn't working. Surely the previous guests or clean staff had reported it,

Would probably not stay again. Cleanliness of room was fine but common areas in main entry/elevators was not - tile floors & carpet looked dirty. Keys did not work originally, had to call front desk. She came right up. Room smelled musty & also odor of cleaning products. AC unit ran the entire night and temp controls were not accurate. Coffee cups were tiny (why can’t they provide a ‘real’ mug?) and supplies were minimal (one tea bag ea, reg & decaf)

The hotel staff was very kind. I wish we would have known at the start of our stay that housekeeping only comes if you stay 7 days or longer. It also would have been helpful to know that if you want fresh towels you have to bring your used towels downstairs and exchange for fresh towels. I wasn't expecting that. The room smelled awful when I walked in. Very stale, stuffy, and musty. I purchased a plug in, clorox wipes, and lysol spray after arrival. I'm not usually a person who goes to those lengths, but my carpet was filthy and the room smelled so bad I didn't trust it to be clean. Even with the plug in I still needed to spray twice a day to air out the room. It was also difficult to regulate the thermostat. It was never comfortable, either too warm or too cold.

There was nothing terribly wrong, but also nothing terribly right. The hallway carpets probably should be replaced, and many spots were oddly quite wet. The room itself was ok, and although we didn't use the kitchen appliances, they were not in good shape.

The relatively low price was what I was looking for, and I've stayed at Sonesta Suites before, so not terribly disappointed. I had to turn off the noisy refrigerator to sleep every night, and the toilet tank leaked into the bowl constantly from the old flapper valve, so it would periodically auto-fill. Other than that, clean enough to be acceptable, and convenient for this trip, by myself.

It was pretty cozy. The bed wasnt that comfy but it was okay. Also wish the lamps were equipped with the USB ports to phone chargers. First hotel ive stayed at that didnt have those. The the little kitchen was my favorite part. Fully equipped with silverware, plates, cups and pans. Had a dishwasher and full size fridge. Even had a tiny bottle of diah detergent and a sponge to clean up the dishes with lol adorable.

The staff was nice, however, I waited for about 3 minutes for an attendant to greet us. And only came because I said, "hello". We got to the room, which was decent. I tried to use the iron, didn't work, pulled the cord from the wall, in the kitchen, and half of the plate around the socket came off and fell on the counter, there was a cracked plate on the socket in the bedroom, and one of the tv remotes didn't work.

The staff was nice, however, I waited for about 3 minutes for an attendant to greet us. And only came because I said, "hello". We got to the room, which was decent. This property is nice on the outside, but kinda old on the inside.The room I was given was clean? But furniture was old and the ceiling looked like it was patched up. The carpet walking inside to the room was discolored. They need at least 1-2 more chairs at the table to eat at. I sanitized the room with fabuloso ,bleach wipes, and air freshener, as it smelled a little like someone smoked. The room(1 bedroom) is big. It has a small kitchenette with a stove: no oven though: it was a short visit: The rate was decent, staff very friendly. Close to my child’s college, and eating and shopping. Overall it was just ok. Got the job done.

Julie at check in was great! The other lady who recommended West End Grill knew what she was talking about! Immediately entering our room we found the coffee decanter was broken. We tried to call the front desk only to discover the phone also didn't work. After using our cell to contact the front desk replacements for both were brought within 20 mins. Great service and very friendly people!

Worse experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. To start the front desk clerk (WF) sneezed on me twice while talking to me without covering her mouth. Second get to my room placed my food on the counter went back to eat it and it was covered in ants. Talked to front desk clerk again and she stated they knew about the ant problem and it’s nothing she can do about. Why not state that yall have an ant issue before I go to my room. Third when I asked to change rooms since it was late she got funky attitude like I was the one who brought the damn ants to the hotel. The rooms was half assed cleaned hair was all over the bedding and floor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one if they are in huntsville

Worse experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. To start the front desk clerk (WF) sneezed on me twice while talking to me without covering her mouth. Second get to my room placed my food on the counter went back to eat it and it was covered in ants. Talked to front desk clerk again and she stated they knew about the ant problem and it’s nothing she can do about. Why not state that yall have an ant issue before I go to my room. Third when I asked to change rooms since it was late she got funky attitude like I was the one who brought the damn ants to the hotel. The rooms was half assed cleaned hair was all over the bedding and floor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one if they are in huntsville

The Hotel was in a great spot. Right near the parkway and a few lights from bridgstreet. The staff was amazing. My stove was not working and they took no time to handle the issue. That will be the place I stay everytime I am in Huntsville

The customer service was very poor, the male at the front desk was rude and without manners. Not enough supplies and upon request we felt we were doing something wrong...overall it was not that good but, it served for a night's rest.

Railroad track near but did not hear the trains go by when inside the rooms. Free coffee for the tenants. Great staff. Place is hidden by another different hotel chain so might be difficult to locate for some people. Even have a free washer and dryer section for the tenants.

This is “simply” just as the name says. The building and rooms are older, BUT super clean. The mattresses at Sonestas are always the best and this one and the pillows were perfect (firmer mattress and fluffy down pillows). Kitchen has a full size fridge and room overall was very spacious. The windows also open a few inches so you can get some fresh air in! Would definitely stay here again. (FYI there’s no breakfast and no pool, but I’m totally fine with that.) Also allowed me a late checkout at Noon.

First time staying at a Sonesta. The lack of any lobby/meeting space with friends was a disappointment. No amenities other than free coffee. No ice machines and ice makers in fridge had no water hookup. No continental breakfast. Room was nice and clean, shower was nice and hot, real good water pressure. Overall, nice room but lack of normal complimentary amenities will keep me from staying here again.

Upon arriving, the front desk was helpful. When I went to my assigned room, it was occupied. Upon returning to the front desk, the front desk employee was nowhere to be found. The hotels.com support team, while available, was not able to provide any assistance. I stood at the front desk for a good twenty minutes before a longer term hotel resident checked the laundry area and told the obviously overworked staff member that their assistance was needed. The shower had mold on the caulk seal and the light fixture in the bathroom was rusty, and maybe also moldy. Not sure. There was a "helpful" welcome to the room packet, with the very last page noting that if I did not take my trash to the dumpster or to a larger trash can in the hallway I would be charged. While I understand not permitting room trash to be left in the hallway, never in all my hotel stays has it been expected that I take out my trash. Also, quite shady to put this as the last page in a packet that most folks would not read. I do not fault the staff member for not being available, they are working in an employment situation where there is significant understaffing relative to the work expected. For that reason I did not leave any check in reviews with hotels.com because I am well aware that the hotel staff are the ones that suffer and not the hotel management, which is making the decisions to understaff. The room HVAC worked quite well.
