Fantastic new hotel...service was great. Reminded me of a NYC apartment. Bed was clean. Room was clean. The igloos on the roof are awesome. Highly recommend Little Charlie.

Rooms are small, very small, but cozy and nothing is missing. Good for a couple for a few nights or for singles. Personnel is great, friendly and supportive. The rooftop is top and open air complimentary breakfast is a must (breakfast available in the lobby and then transfer to the rooftop). Many nice restaurants in the surrounding areas. Recommended.

Great property. Rooms are SMALL, but we didn't really spend anytime inside except to come home and sleep since there is so much to do outside. Rooftop is ok, cute little bubbles for hanging out.

We really enjoyed our stay at the little Charlie hotel. We especially enjoyed having our breakfast that we purchased from another location on the rooftop. Great little addition at the hotel. Our one complaint was the water pressure in the shower was weak and the temperature of the water was not hot enough. Room size with a little small, but that is to be expected from a New York City hotel. The staff was fantastic, complementary coffee, croissants muffins apples in the morning was also great. Very cute hotel, would definitely stay there again.

Great that the room has controllable AC for heat/cooling, handy mid town location a few minutes walk from Grand Central station. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, cool spot and comfy room. TV looks like a framed picture, so that was neat. Close to Grand Central Station so made getting around town and to the airport subway/trains easy. Bed was right next to window which was also cool. The best part is the rooftop igloos which are free and heated and have cool lights and electric blankets. Only downside was that the rooms aren’t super soundproof so you could hear things going on in other rooms at times. Great overall tho!

I’ve stayed at this hotel 2 nights. When I got there there was no one at the reception however there is a self check in machine where I did self check in and got my room key pretty easy and quick. Doesn’t even require deposit like in other properties. Room was pretty small but clean and with everything I needed. There’s even Netflix account to watch movies. Had my friends visiting me and luckily there’s a rooftop with blankets and heater inside the cute rooftop igloo love that. Definitely will stay there when I comeback to NY. Pretty close to Time square and central metro station.

The shower was freezing and the staff didnt tell us you have to turn the sink hot water on to get hot water. The remote would not increase the volume so i couldnt hear the tv, and there were no phones in the room so when i called the front desk to ask how ro work the remote i was sent to voice mail. Not a fan.

Loved staying at Little Charlie's. Perfect place to stay in NYC. Pro: Clean, comfortable bed & convenient location. Small but very well appointed room. Complimentary bottle water. Pastry and coffee in the morning Con: Small bathroom, noise from traffic & sound from hallway (door slamming). But they provide ear plug! I will defiantly stay here for next trip.

Little Charlie Hotel is well located close to Grand Central. The breakfast was basic but a nice touch and the coffee was excellent. One challenge - the walls and windows are very thin. I had a room overlooking 2nd Avenue and it was very loud (I should have been clued in by the earplugs on the desk). If you are a light sleeper, request a room that doesn’t overlook 2nd Ave.

My room was tiny but so comfortable and efficient! The bed was amazing and everything was extremely clean and new. The lobby was a really pleasant place to hang out and the location was fantastic. The desk staff were not friendly and the room itself was pretty loud - I could hear a lot of what my upstairs neighbor was doing, especially with the wood floors

This is a room smaller than your dorm room but very clean, functional, very well located, and workable if you accept that in exchange for very reasonable prices you have to deal with a kiosk, not a person. Would stay again.

Bed was comfy, check in seamless. It is true it's tiny- prob best for a short stay w maybe 1-2 ppl max, and it's in nyc so it can be loud(not sure that any other place does a better job with soundproofing). They do provide earphones. But it was clean, safe, and worked for a short stay.

This should have been great. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff was kind if not particularly friendly, but hey it’s the city. I was even “upgraded.” But therein lies the problem. My “upgrade” put me on the ground floor, just off the lobby. It was unacceptably loud right up to midnight. In addition, my upgraded room had no windows other than a skylight. For which there was no shade. And to sleep I need DARK. So this particular room, at least, didn’t work for me.

We were only in town for one night, and the Little Charlie was perfect for us. It's a European-style hotel with small but spotlessly clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had the smallest sink I've ever seen! But the shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The front desk staff was wonderful and stored our bags safely when we arrived before check-in time so we were able to attend an event without lugging our bags along. It took us no time at all to walk to the hotel from Grand Central Station. We will definitely stay here again!

As we would be arriving after the front desk closed i attemtrd to contact the property beforehand for late check in instructions. I called several times and emailed twice. No response. I contacted hotels.com and they also tried to reach someone at the property but also without luck. So i was nervous we would not be able to get in. That is frustrating when travelling. Jowever shortly before check in i got instructions, which i emded ip kot needing as there was a guy workimg at the front desk when we arrived. The room is way too small for my liking, but i new it was going to be. Just be aware that there is virtually no room to move around. Check out time is 11am and at 10:58am the guy that works at the front desk was knocking on our door asking us when we were going to leave. Never had that happen in my life, i thought it was ridiculous. They offer complimentary water which was nice. Location was good. Thats all.

The remote would not increase the volume so i couldnt hear the tv, and there were no phones in the room so when i called the front desk to ask how ro work the remote i was sent to voice mail. Not a fan.

Tiny but comfortable room, very clean. Quiet. No cups in bathroom. I asked twice over 2 days for them to replace light bulb in shower and fix door bolt, which didn't engage. They said "of course". Nothing was done. No staff available after 8pm, no phone number to call so if there's a real problem you're on your own. Continental breakfast is a nice touch and is decent. Staff is friendly.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this property. First time was wonderful. Second time was good except I had a room facing second Avenue which was a bit noisy. This time, I hit the jackpot. A room by reception with no window which may sound attractive, but I thrilled because it is so quiet. I’m here for our trip and to stay so close to my office and have a quite nice sleep as a dream. The bathroom is huge. The room is clean. The air-conditioning works and I’m in heaven thank you. No thank you.

Gorgeous, inexpensive boutique hotel in midtown east, near the UN and all the embassies. Had some great Greek food a block down, and tried some delicious Georgian food at a restaurant right around the corner. We were there for a Broadway show, it’s an easy walk from Grand Central to the hotel, and you can be in Times Square from Grand Central in a jiffy. Nice amenities, and very pleasant staff.

Conviently located closish to Times square/U.N. but just far enough away to have some breathing room and a less anxiety inducing experience. The staff held my bags both before and after my stay so I could enjoy all that the area has to offer like the Broadway Flea Market. 10/10 would stay again. Room was clean and comfortable. Slept great.

Nice small hotel, compact room but very clean, fresh linen etc.. complementary pastries, fruit, tea coffee etc served in the lobby in the mornings. quiet Did not hear any traffic or street noise from the room. Great that the room has controllable AC for heat/cooling, handy mid town location a few minutes walk from Grand Central station. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean and in a great area no more than a 5/10 minute walk from some of the main attractions, or is right on top of both subway and metro stations! Definitely recommend, we feel very lucky to have found this hotel when looking and would definitely stay here again!

The room is small like advertised. What i didnt anticipate was how loud it would be. I barely slept the three nights i stayed there. Yes, they offer ear plugs.. The room is clean. The shower took almost 10 minutes to warm up. I asked the staff for a second room card and she said she would have to go downstairs. I have never checked in anywhere with two people and didnt get a scecond room key. Breakfast is very limited too.

Rooms are small, very small, but cozy and nothing is missing. Good for a couple for a few nights or for singles. Personnel is great, friendly and supportive. The rooftop is top and open air complimentary breakfast is a must (breakfast available in the lobby and then transfer to the rooftop). Many nice restaurants in the surrounding areas. Recommended.

I’m not sure why this property has such a high rating. The area is naturally busy, but you’d expect better soundproofing, it feels like the windows are open all the time because the noise from the intersection is so loud. I couldn't sleep during the nights. Im happy I just reserved 2 nights there. The photos showed a bathtub, but our room didn’t have one, and the staff didn’t help when we asked to change rooms. Breakfast was also very disappointing, it was just coffee and pastries and fruit (apple, banana). the croissants were so stale I couldn’t even finish a bite. Overall, not worth the rating or the price.

We were only in town for one night, and the Little Charlie was perfect for us. It's a European-style hotel with small but spotlessly clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had the smallest sink I've ever seen! But the shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The front desk staff was wonderful and stored our bags safely when we arrived before check-in time so we were able to attend an event without lugging our bags along. It took us no time at all to walk to the hotel from Grand Central Station. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 4 days in August, and loved it. We thought the price was great, and it’s close to subway entrances, Times Square, and theaters. The air conditioned lobby is cozy - a great place to sit and rest if you have some time. We also loved that Remi43 (a beautiful coffee shop/florist) and John’s Coffee were on adjacent blocks. Very convenient in the mornings, and when we just wanted a close place to grab coffee in the afternoon. There is also a Georgian restaurant around the corner where we ate dinner, and the food and ambiance were perfect. Little Charlie’s was a great find - we hope to stay again! *One thing to note: their continental breakfast is very small - mostly pastries!*

This was an extremely small room. Like, closet sized. It was perfectly comfortable for a single person for a single night, but the half-sized sink was messy to use. Like so many hotels everywhere, you could hear everyone slamming their doors and talking in the halls, and a continuous, loud thunking sound forced me out of bed at 7 am on a Sunday morning. Water pressure in the shower not so great. The elevator was fast, breakfast in the morning more than adequate. Bed very comfy. Towels generous and that rooftop mini-garden is very cute. Great location. Very clean. Quick check in. Emails beg for a 5 star review but i cannot give it - so sorry!

Room was noisy, both from outside (traffic) and inside: there is a drainage tube that goes from the roof into the shower, causing a continuous splashing noise when it rains, and it rained all night during my visit. Also, water leaked from the roof to the hallway, soaking the carpet. The water pressure in the shower is very weak. Probably will not return.

The rooms are small but the price is right . I would recommend it to everyone. Very clean. Comfy bed with phone charger at bedside. I very useful abd adorable (blue) mini fridge. The staff is very kind and helpful. A wonderful grocery store on one side and a 24/7 convenience store that has anything you need called 24 Deli (I needed dental floss at midnight). Relatively close to Grand Central and the theater district. Highly recommended!
