Emelisse Nature Resort

Our time at Emelisse in Kefalonia was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views. The pools are absolutely lovely and offer the perfect vantage point to take in the incredible sunsets each evening as you overlook Lefkada in the distance. Dining at the resort was a fantastic experience. The restaurant overlooks the pools and serves delicious food, made even better by the incredibly welcoming and attentive staff. Starting the day with their delicious breakfast buffet while looking out over the water was a daily treat. The absolute highlight of our trip was booking the resort's private boat and captain for a full-day charter—I cannot recommend this enough! If you prefer to stay close to the resort, you have direct access to a gorgeous rock beach, complete with a ladder off the rocks where you can swim straight to a nearby cave. Getting into Fiskardo is a breeze. The hotel offers a convenient free shuttle, or you can take a 12-minute walk along a path that leads right into town. While the property is beautiful for anyone, in my opinion, the serene vibe and amenities make it most suited for adults. I highly recommend Emelisse and would return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful family-run hotel. We stayed for six nights and found it very comfortable....it genuinely felt like home, thanks to the number of different spaces to sit and relax. It was never too crowded to find somewhere quiet to go. The food was lovely, with everything home-baked at breakfast, and the views and rooms were beautiful. Our only negative experience was that our bathroom wasn't very clean on arrival, and our room smelled of drains. We asked to move rooms, but staff weren't very helpful in assisting us, and we never heard back from them for the rest of our trip....despite paying for two rooms (a garden courtyard room and a double) to accommodate the five of us. I later checked online and saw there was a spare room available, which made the lack of response even more disappointing. Aside from that, everyone was very helpful.

Maria went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, making us feel not just like guests, but truly valued. She is a real asset to this wonderful hotel. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The selection was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality products, delicious local specialties, and something for every taste. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking the beautiful sea was the perfect way to start each day. The hotel itself is immaculate, beautifully designed, and perfectly integrated into its natural surroundings.
