Excellent location, very convenient for Salisbury Cathedral, Guildhall Market, Poultry Cross, tons of shopping, very accessible. Staff are excellent, very friendly & helpful. Great breakfast included. Hotel has a parking lot, additional cost of 7.50 GBP daily. Worth it if you have a car. About 20 minute drive to Stonehenge. Great place!

Arrived late Friday night to find we have been upgraded to an apartment accessed from the car park. Apartments are very nice with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The kitchen and bathroom welcome packs had everything needed for your first night if you have forgotten anything. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be there, but a welcome bag of ice in the freezer! Walk-in shower was a bonus equipped with separate Shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bed was a nice size double and each room had separate air conditioning controls. Breakfast under the auspices of June was excellent, all credit to the Chef. Sunday seemed to be manic as a wedding party had stayed. June and her young helper worked their socks off as everything seemed to run out at the same time. Yet the kitchen produced even better food (to my liking) that day. Because of the central location in the city there was no need to move the car at all with everything in a short walking distance. See Cathedral and Giggling Squid reviews on trip advisor Now car parking is extra on first come basis and is open to the public. we paid £330 for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts and car parking, that seems to be the price for 1 night in the apartment. For the quality of the hotel, maybe a better quality of toilet paper, and Apartment 2 door slams hard. Sure we may have upset the neighbours. So if that's all I can bring up, you can trust us to return.

Pleasantly surprised by this conveniently located affordable hotel which offered clean simple rooms, friendly staff and a lovely garden and bar. The only downsides were that in my room overlooking the main road, I could very slightly hear the traffic although this did not disturb my sleep too much. Also, there there was no visible recycling and the towels felt parched! It would be good if the hotel could make it easier to opt out of a daily clean as I did not realise how to do this and this wasted towels/water. Maybe telling guests to put a sign on the door if they want their room cleaned rather than the other way around.

Disappointed that there was only 1 small bar to service 2 parties and other staying guests. Also, no fault of their own, but only 1 card machine available. Bar staff were amazing and very apologetic. However, we weren't informed beforehand that there would be no food available due to the parties. We understand the pressure on the kitchen, but it would have been good to know this beforehand so that we could have booked a restaurant/bar instead of having to hope to find somewhere which were majorly booked out on a Saturday night. Yes we would stay again as hotel was lovely, beds comfortable etc, but I think personally that if there are functions, certainly multiple functions at the same time, Customer's should be informed prior to booking in to the hotel. Overall a fabulous time, just a bit of constructive feedback. I would recommend a stay!

Tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Our room was very (and I mean very) noisy. Banging doors, conversations in the corridor and squeaking floorboards meant that we did not have a relaxing stay and we were woken up the night due to the noise. The room was dated and in need of a lot of work. Large patches of the carpet were moth eaten, the bathroom mirror was rusting, one of the bathroom blinds didn't work and had gone yellow/brown, and the view from the window was a large pipe with paint peeling off it.

Room was huge and bathroom big. The pillows were not brilliant however not end of world. Bathroom hose pipe was dirty but again not end of the world. Over all a cosy - friendly hotel with a comfy atmosphere - great staff and great breakfast choices.

Hotel location was good and staff friendly. The room had mould in the bathroom which when cleaned daily shouldn't happen. The cleaners made the bed but didn't take the dirty glasses/cups but took the towels even though I hung them up to reuse them (better for the environment)!

Good location . Close to the cathedral. Building is bit antique and would certaintly use some love and care. Rooms are also pretty crammed. Bed was comfortable. Pillows not. Shower was not very powerful and the rain head was as mild as the actual rain in terms of power. Breakfast was OK but lacked any flavor, so bit disappointing for the price. Window did not close properly in my room as the latch to close it was completely broken. Overall, an OK stay but certainly not a 4* one. Checkin was also very strict given the amount of free rooms apparently were available…

Lovely hotel, clean and right in the city centre. Booked as advertised rooms had a/c and it had been especially warm but really inefficient (possibly turned off centrally at night) so struggled to sleep. A real disappointment

All staff were kind and responsive, but there weren't enough of them! The restaurant was unable to serve food when a concurrent banquet was scheduled (announced to me after I had ordered my wine) until an hour later. Breakfast staff unable to keep up with stocking the coffee machine and clearing the tables. Not the fault of the staff, but the management. The food at restaurant, when I got it, was truly delicious. The location is ideal for walking around Salisbury. The check in team were extremely helpful and professional. There is a beautiful courtyard area with flower tubs and a lovey mature tree in the centre to get shade. The seating was also very good. I breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold food. All the staff were very polite and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay again.

My wife and I were staying for a rare weekend away, for a friend's wedding. When we arrived the car park was as good as full, but we managed to squeeze in (during our visit we arrived to no spaces in the car park, so it is definitely pot luck as to whether or not you will be able to park). We got to our room and found dirty / ripped cushions on the bed, marks (possibly coffee stains) on the wall and ceiling (bizarrely), dirty marks in the plug hole of the shower, and a brown mark on the wall to the side of the toilet (yes, we assumed it was that too). The reception lady was incredibly apologetic, and sorted these issues out herself. When we ordered room service, we ordered dinner and drinks for each of us and a desert to share. It took a while to be brought up, but 2 very friendly guys brought up our order, except they forgot my wife's food. By the time they arrived back with it, my dinner had gone cold and the lovely evening in together just wasn't the same. The next day however, we popped down for breakfast and it was like a different place altogether. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the offering was amazing, and the quality superb. Overall I would recommend staying here, and we are likely to return. But I'm not sure that it's as premium as it's portrayed.

We chose this hotel to visit Stonehenge and ended up extending our stay because we found the town of Salisbury so interesting and charming. This hotel is walking distance to pubs, shopping, and transport to historic sites. The staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. It is an old property (completed in the 1800s) with a heritage designation, but the common spaces are charming and the guest rooms are updated. Definitely try the tea service in the dining room. Buffet breakfasts are very good with a nice selection. I would absolutely stay here again.

Quick weekend visit, not sure i've ever been to a hotel where the staff have been more friendly. It was as if it was a long lost family reunion. The building is oldish and characterful in a good way. Our room was lovely and quiet, spacious too. I was going to give the bed a 5 star rating but then i thought i had to find something to criticise, the only thing was i heard a twang from a bed spring, that was it, perfect night's sleep apart from a "twang". I can heartily recommend this place to stay. It was lovely. Oh, and it's so convenient to town too.

My husband and I had a lovely weekend supporting Chingford Parish Choir at the Cathedral. The Hotel is really close to the Cathedral and as I use a Rollator to help me walk it was ideal. The room was well equipped and comfortable and the staff were all very helpful, especially Jack on Reception. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning and had a nice meal Saturday evening. There is a good disabled toilet on the ground floor but no lift to the bedrooms which would be helpful. I managed but not everyone would be able to. Salisbury is a delightful town and really worth visiting and the Cathedral is absolutely beautiful.

Disappointed that there was only 1 small bar to service 2 parties and other staying guests. Also, no fault of their own, but only 1 card machine available. Bar staff were amazing and very apologetic. However, we weren't informed beforehand that there would be no food available due to the parties. We understand the pressure on the kitchen, but it would have been good to know this beforehand so that we could have booked a restaurant/bar instead of having to hope to find somewhere which were majorly booked out on a Saturday night. Yes we would stay again as hotel was lovely, beds comfortable etc, but I think personally that if there are functions, certainly multiple functions at the same time, Customer's should be informed prior to booking in to the hotel. Overall a fabulous time, just a bit of constructive feedback. I would recommend a stay!

The hotel has a great location and is close to the cathedral, dining, pubs, and shops. The walks are very short. The staff was great. They helped my wife with the train and taxis. It was a very quiet hotel. This was good for me, since I was working. The shower was great, and the air conditioning worked well.

We chose to come back to Salisbury for our Emerald Wedding Anniversary. We had not stayed at the White Hart before and were were delighted with all the amenities comfort and friendly staff. As it was so central we left our car in the car park and walked to all the places we wanted to go.

It's a really neat old building, and everything felt modern enough for the room. Be cautious in some of the hallways -- the floor is a bit uneven. The location was perfect for exploring the area. I wish we had a second night there!

Covenient for a one night stop over with car near the center of Salisbury. Cramped room, shabby interior and traffic noise from main road disturbed our sleep often. Weak shower and bathroom in need of some maintenance. Bed was comfortable. Parking was a significant factor for us.

I suppose it was unfortunate that I booked for a Saturday night so that the noise coming from the street ,was quite audible, including noise from cars. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. The staff, friendly and efficient.

Initially not easy to find but once there check in was simple, the staff lovely and so friendly, the room was lovely, very large and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. We used the restaurant for our evening meal and while the menu was quite limited there was something each of us liked and the food was very nice and well cooked. Overall we would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again if visiting Salisbury

Excellent breakfast, professional and friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. I did find the high, 4 poster beds a bit awkward to climb in and out of, but if you don’t have old bones and rickety knees, that isn’t an issue! I loved that we had comfortable chairs and ottomans and a desk in the room.

The room was basic but absolutely fine, clean and great blackout curtains! The staff (Sharon and Alex) were so incredibly helpful and really friendly. The hotel is a little dated feeling and lounge furniture would do with replacing! We didn't have breakfast but others in our party said it was very good and we also checked about gluten free breakfast options as my partner has coeliac and there were many and they were knowledgeable and accommodating. Fantastic location!

Lovely hotel and we had a really nice room. Very impressed. However breakfast wasnt great. Not very hot. But it was quite busy so that probably was a factor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was 1st class. Freshly baked scones “ home made “ soup. Honestly , the best I’ve ever tasted. My room was spotlessly clean All of the staff, housekeeping , reception and catering are exceptional. Book it ! You won’t be disappointed

Overall on the surface of it the room appeared quite clean, but dust on window ledges and in the louvres of the air conditioning grills was unacceptable. Parking was easy and not expensive at £7.50 per 24hr period. Comfortable bed. Very convenient for The Cathedral.

Hygiëne is niet het sterkste punt. Enkel gekuist wat zichtbaar is. Door zo verder te doen zal het snel een verwaarloosde plek worden. Opzich was ons verblijf in orde. Fijn appartement en aangename mensen aan de balie. De mensen die in de ontbijtzaal werken zijn niet van de meest werkzame. Tafels afkuisen is voor hen snel even met een vochtig doek over de tafel gaan. Een potje opheffen is te veel gevraagd. Ontbijt is oké, maar niet speciaal. Ook niet echt vers.

It was a nice stay. Centrally located. Nice room and clean. Staff seem little overwhelmed. But friendly. No phone in the rooms so need to keep going back and forth to reception which was annoying especially when in a rush. I wish the air con was explained better as I could not work it out! Other than these pointers I would recommend.

No phone in the rooms so need to keep going back and forth to reception which was annoying especially when in a rush. I wish the air con was explained better as I could not work it out! Other than these pointers I would recommend.
