Pros: Gorgeous property, spectacular attentive staff, and lots to do on the property. From boats, paddle boards/boats, kayaks, board games, tennis, yoga, and other activities, you wont be bored. Love that there are 2 great elegant restaurants onsite, small bar, free great coffee in the lounge areas, and lots of beautiful places to hang out. Love to be able to choose from swimming in the lake, pool, or spa baths. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Cons: While the quality of the restaurant food was great, I didn't feel it was worth the exhuberant price. I loved the cuisine and service but I have also had better food for much cheaper elsewhere in Montreal. Additionally, the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway. Bring earplugs. From the hallway you can also hear everything going on in each of the rooms. Some sound proofing would be nice.

Our room with a lake view was beautiful. The food and drink options at both restaurants were delicious. The spa was wonderfully relaxing. Hanging out by the pool or the lake was the perfect way to spend a few days away from kids and dogs!

This is a well maintained, historic property. It is “old” in a very good way. The entire property is very well maintained. There is a beautiful, heated swimming pool, with a large hot tub, all with a view of the lake. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The restaurants on property are world class. We highly recommend Manior Hovey; you can’t go wrong.

J’aurais bien aimé donner une note parfaite. C’est tout de même un établissement Relais et Château. Service assez long pour le repas du soir, nous y étions avec 2 petits vers 19:30 et le dessert a du prendre plus de 40 minutes. On a du aviser pour pouvoir être servis et aller coucher les enfants. J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Le cadre est magnifique, et le service est véritablement impeccable, digne d’un établissement de luxe. Le personnel est attentif et aux petits soins, ce qui a grandement contribué à rendre mon séjour agréable. La décoration et l’ambiance générale de l’hôtel créent une atmosphère vraiment apaisante. Cependant, petit bémol : la piscine manquait clairement d’entretien. Elle était sale, ce qui est dommage pour un hôtel de ce standing. Malgré cela, l’expérience globale reste très positive, et je recommanderais cet établissement pour un séjour haut de gamme.

It was a beautiful property with excellent food and good service. We felt the cleanliness of the room was excellent, but the patio needed a good wipe down and my clothes got dirty sitting on the patio furniture. We were surprised we were not approached even once while we were at the pool for several hours to see if we needed anything. Overall a good experience, but didn’t live up to my expectations for a relais and chateaux property (compared to others I have stayed at).

Manoir Hovey has been one of my personal favorite place for years. The property sits on a beautiful domain on the lakeshore. Recently they underwent some renonciation and an additional wing has been added as well as a spa. We tried the new spa on our recent visit and it was incredible. Although rather small the spa has beautiful clean new sauna and hamman and several massage rooms with a dedicated team of therapist. Truly a blissful experience. However the addition of a new wing seems to have put some weight on the rest of the property and at breakfast service the staff was a bit overwhelmed. Some of the furniture in the lobby and library has well has the rooms in the main building are looking a bit tired and would benefit from better care. Dinner at the Hatley is a serious business the chef continue to evolve while staying true to his focus on locally source ingredients I would say that the overall experience tends to be a little heavy. The wine list at the restaurant is impressive and there’s something for every occasions and preference. The rooms, even in the main building are spacious and comfortable but the bathrooms are a bit on the small side. It’s usually very quiet and the atmosphere is restful. Overall manoir Hovey remain a venerable institution but it should remain vigilant to maintain its standards.

Manoir Hovey is a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The food is excellent and the spa is beautiful. Our room in the main house was small but extremely comfortable and well appointed. The large furnished deck off the room had exquisite views of the lake and perfectly manicured gardens. There are two restaurant options and both are fabulous. The breakfast is abundant and while they say the buffet is a continental breakfast it has a lot to choose! The spa was my favorite part of the resort. It is so peaceful and the setting is beautiful. I had three treatments during my stay and each one was excellent. Meghan is a gifted therapist with amazing technique and a lovely disposition. All of the staff was helpful and pleasant. Whether you are seeking a quite, elegant getaway or an active outdoor escape, Manoir Hovey is the place to go!

Plusieurs bâtiments où abritent les unités des chambres ont grandement besoin de peinture et un peu d’amour ce qui fait en sorte que c’est plus vieux et aucune insonorisation et attention plusieurs chambres ont des tapis ce qui est très déçevant. Malheureusement tout était complet donc impossible de changer de chambre. Le service est excellent et au niveau nourriture on a pu m’accommoder ce qui fut fort apprécier!!

A very special place. We had a room on the third floor facing the woods. It was like being in a tree house, we loved it! The staff were incredible. Sitting on the lawn in the evening with cocktails looking at the lake was a treat. Highly recommended.

The area is beautiful, the room is excelent. Probably the most beautiful and well equipped room I have ever stayed. My only complain about the room is that it was too bright during the night, because there was light coming from the small window over the door. I can't sleep well when there is light in the room. The main building is well decorated and I really enjoyed the dinner and the breakfast. The spa area, swiming pool was excellent too.

Vraiment un service hors pair: malgré mon accident de voiture, l'hôtel m'a accommodé de toutes les façons possibles. J'ai pu manger malgré l'heure très tardive de mon arrivée et quitter un peu plus tard le lendemain. On a géré mes bagages jusqu'à installer un mini-frigo dans ma chambre et y ranger ce que j'avais de perissable. J'ai pu profiter du soa et de la piscine tardivement le lendemain comme j'en avais pas eu la chance à l'arrivée. J'ai eu un up grade et ma fête à été également souligné par de petites attentions. J'ai adoré mon expérience malgré la malchance de la journée

When we arrived, our room had been given away by error. Staff were extremely apologetic and immediately set about making amends for their mistake. Including getting us other accommodation and comping meals, the room and spa treatments. This was much appreciated although the comp accommodation did not have the same ambience and view that our originally booking had, was not walkable to the main lodge and did not make up for the inconvenience. Our second night we had our original.room. Everything else was excellent, the food, service and setting. This ai a place special and well worht the visit.

Beautiful old world charm, high end, exclusive, relaxing, serene lake and mountain views and great customer service. Only things to be aware about are that the location is a little remote, so you need a car and there are limited food options. Also this isn’t as kid friendly (some people complained about our kids being too loud when they were laughing in the pool). Overall, this was a wonderful stay and highly recommended it!

When I die, I want them to prop me up in an Adirondack chair with a gin and tonic on the lawn of the Manoir so that I can face the lake for all eternity. This is a beautiful small hotel with wonderful people.and great facilities in a beautiful part of Canada.

Fantastic service from all the staff re: reception, dinner, breakfast. Beautiful/modern room (re: room 58). Choice of wine at the Tap Room for dinner was very limited e.g. no sauvignon blanc, wine from New Zealand, and overall too expensive for the quality offered. Breakfast: quantity/quality versus price is unacceptable (2 eggs, bacon, potato and beans for $50.00 per person) but good service.

Went here in January for a girls spa weekend. This place was heaven on earth. You must do thermal experience and food at Le Tap was incredible! Such a beautiful spot and wonderful hospitality!!! Will definitely come back as soon as possible.
