Die Unterkunft war sehr geräumig (2Bedroom) und sehr sauber. Aufgrund der Lage direkt an einer viel befahrenden Hauptstraße war es unglaublich laut die ganze Nacht, so dass an guten Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Ich würde diese Unterkunft nicht mehr wählen. Was hier ein ‚Resort‘ sein soll frage ich mich ehrlich gesagt auch.

Hier gibt es zwei Seiten: 1. muss man sagen, dass die Unterkunft (Einrichtung, Sauberkeit, Größe der Suite, Zustand der Einrichtung & Möbel) absolut TOP war!!! Allerdings gibt es folgenden 2. Punkt der leider negativ zu bewerten ist (aus unser Sicht). Man muss wissen, dass die Einrichtung keine komplett geschlossenen Fenster haben, was nicht schlimm ist - ABER wenn man das zweite Schlafzimmer nutzen möchte, befindet sich die Klimaanlage des Nachbarzimmer genau daneben, d.h. wenn der Nachbar die Klimaanlage die ganze Nacht(!) laufen lässt, ist es nicht möglich zu schlafen. Die Geräusche sind (leider) so laut, das in diesem Zimmer kein schlafen möglich war. Dies aber nur in diesem Zimmer - wenn dies nicht genutzt wird, kann man von einer ruhigen Nacht ausgehen. Es ist aber bei so einen (sicherlich angemessenen Preis) schon ein negativer Punkt. Eine Empfehlung würde ich der Unterkunft trotzdem aussprechen!

Banyan Harbor Resort is an old property and has not been kept up. If you have difficulty going up and down 18 steps outside - open to the elements - do not consider this property. And those steps were to get to the first floor rooms. There is not an elevator . And if you had a room on the 2-4th floor- plan on a marathon of outdoor steps. the room we had separate window air conditioners in each room that were very noisy and dirty. Blowing dirty air- as shown by the dirty , dusty curtains above each unit. Plus the motors vibrated the windows. The bathrooms were very dated and one of the toilets was tipsy. The shower head was coming out of the wall and the shower handles were full of black mold. Maybe a fresh coat of paint might have helped covering up the rust. We had a reservation for a king with 1 bathroom and all they had was a two bedroom 2 bath with full size beds. My husband and I were on a romantic vacation and sleeping separately was not in our plans. (TMI) Overall cleanliness was not good and I kept expecting to see bugs but I did not. Linens and towels were old and the pillows were very uncomfortable square shaped and flimsy. Thank goodness we were only spending one night because the property is located near the Lihue airport. We would not recommend staying at this property. Yes, it was convenient to have a kitchen with refrigerator . We had asked if there was shuttle service to the airport and they had told us yes- but that was not true. Plan to Uber.
