Comfortable large room, Bathtub chipped and in poor condition Only One elevator and sometimes had to wait 5 minutes. Only two luggage carts Staff were were pleasant but untrained. A bus tour seemed to discombobulate them. Came down to breakfast at 7:30 to find no seating and out of many things. Ice machine only worked on one floor. Vending gave wrong sodas Room keys didn’t work when we got to room. USBs by bed broken.

This is a clean hotel set back from a slow highway so it is not noisy from outside. I noticed several Tesla chargers in the back. About 2 minutes off of I-81. Many gas station and a few chain restaurants are nearby. 5 minutes to VMI, another 2 minutes to Washington and Lee University and central Lexington. Check in was about 2 minutes. My primary complaint is the plumbing noise that comes from the abutting room, which is about as loud a shower from one’s own room in an average hotel. There are very good automatic coffee machines. The breakfast area is a bit small so becomes congested easily. We stayed two nights and most food items were already depleted at about 9:20 AM Sunday morning.

Everything was top notch from the beginning to end. The exterior of the building is well kept, the grounds are well groomed and attractive. The lobby, although small was very neat and appealing. The room was impeccable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The staff were very polite. The hotel is pet friendly but it is so clean you can't tell that animals are allowed. Breakfast had a wide variety of food that was well-presented and the length of breakfast serving was great for those who aren't early risers. We had to park a 40 foot trailer and there was ample parking for large vehicles. We were very pleased and if we are in the area we will stay there again!

Stopped for a night in Lexington VA. I never know what to expect with a Holiday Inn. This one was great! So clean. Comfortable. Easy parking. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend.

Walls are so thin, could hear and get awakened each time doors closed, or from conversations in the hallways or room next door. The sound of the guy snoring in the room next to ours kept waking us up all night long. Elevator was out upon checkout, forcing us 2 senior citizens, to carry all of our luggage down 4 flights of stairs

You never know what you’re going to get when you’re booking a hotel as you’re passing through on a long trip. I’m so glad I chose this place. Unlike a lot of other hotels, this was so clean! The room was really nice too. I could sleep in my comfy bed knowing I was in a safe and clean place.

I chose this hotel due to proximity to the interstate. Keep driving. My son was covered in dog hair after laying on the bed. I would think part of the cleaning process after a dog was in the room would be new comforters. Apparently not. Room smelled like cheap cologne (probably to cover up dog smell).

Normally I have GREAT stays at the Holiday Inn, but this stay wasn't as great. The bathroom seemed half cleaned. When I pulled my covers back on the bed, there was crumbs and hair all over the pillows and sheets. I put on both of my jackets and turned the pillows cases inside out; and slept on top of the sheets, it was too late to make a big deal out of it at the time, and I'm a traveler so we don't get as much sleep. The Staff is always amazing. I'll be staying there again in the future, but please make sure to inspect the beds and bathrooms please.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice aside from a noisy refrigerator and HVAC unit. Both of them combined made it difficult to sleep through the night as they cycled on and off. I expect a certain amount of noise from things like these but they were over my tolerance limit. I may stay here again, but if this happens a second time I will be asking for a room change and and won't return a third time.

It could have been a positive experience but for the price it was very noisy. We could hear everyone around us in their rooms. The rooms are small, too. Making for a more cramped experience. This hotel was my most expensive stay and I am more pleased with the less expensive stay on Monday.

The convenience was great. However, our room had the noisiest air conditioning system which was quite disruptive. I did complain the night manager who said she was not aware and there was nothing she could do, while she was eating her dinner. The morning manager was excellent. She was most apologetic gave me a discount on the room to make up for the inconvenience. I did find out that there were plenty of rooms available to move us. I understand things can happen. It is all how you handle the situation and come up with a amicable solution.

I didn’t like being greeted by a sign of No’s at the customer service desk. No help so I wasn’t getting any service that day n if I needed anything , I would need to come get it at the desk myself. I preemptively checked in online to expedite things but was slowly checked in upon coming through the door late at night after traveling all day from Tennessee. The line behind me wasn’t happy either.

I called ahead to make sure I could get a crib for my room. When I arrived 2 hours later I was told it would be brought up. 30 minutes later I tried to call the front to check as it was 1030pm and my baby and family needed to sleep. I found at that time that the phone didn’t work. I went down to the desk to which they told me they don’t have any cribs. I asked for extra pillows and blankets. I was asked if I had a 2 queen room, I said yes, and was then asked why would I need more pillows and blankets. I explained that since there are no cribs I will need to attempt to make some kind of bed for my child. This is very aggravating especially since I called ahead to make sure I could secure a crib and have it ready as I knew my family would be getting in late and want to go to bed right away.

Good variety of breakfast items. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Halls were clean. The road to enter the property was reduced to half a lane because of construction. The work was temporary but no signage indicating Holiday Inn Express was at the end of the lane.
