Zion Mountain Ranch

Enjoyed a wonderful family Christmas vacation here, even brought our pup. The cabin was perfect and well equipped. The location to Zion can’t be beat. Quiet and beautiful property. The restaurant was top notch. Fantastic staff. Even did a sunset horseback ride and Chy was an excellent ride host. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!

Zion Mountain Ranch was a diamond in the rough near Zion National Park. The cabin was very quaint, clean and quiet! It has a great area around the property where the buffalo roam! A very nice stay in the middle of nowhere!

We had a great 2 night stay here. A lovely ranch type experience. Looking out from the restaurant onto fields of bison. Horse riding going on though we did not partake. Only 10 minutes from entrance to the Zion National Park where we spent our day.

The horseback riding at sunset is a must-try ($100 / person). Dark sky at night is a plus. Really close to Zion East entrance: less crowed. Dog-friendly and the pet fees is cheap compared to other accommodations.

Everything about my visit was wonderful. From checking in, feeding the buffalo, sunset horseback ride, and a fun wonderful bonfire. My cabin was clean and accommodated all of my needs. Kudos to the chef, I had the best meal and the service was friendly and impeccable. I have recommended staying here to all of my friends and would love to be able to come back soon!

Wonderful private cabin w a porch set to enjoy the open plain. Our cabin had a view of sunset, buffalo herd, horses…brilliant concept to incorporate a farm to table concept in dining as well. Fun activities were listed, would be good for young kids and teens. Bonfire at sunset w an Indian chant and drum.

Had the most amazing stay! Fantastic location close to the national park entrance. The cabins are great, service is efficient and the food at the restaurant is exceptional. We did the sunset horse back riding tour and did not disappoint. We will definitely be back here! Extra love for the wonderful and friendly doggos who walked us home to our cabin in the dark, securing our safety :)

This place was amazing! Staff was wonderful, ranch was so much fun, with so much to do. Feeding the bison was so much fun, horseback riding if you like, farm amimals, DARK skies at night, lots of space between cabins. Short drive to Zion....so much fun. Only 2 things we wish were different, not.much else around if you need something. They do have a restaurant, but it is a little pricey and not the best kids menu. Well prepared and mature options to eat. The ranch dogs, cute, huge and sleepy most of the day, they roam around free, but at night they go full out watch dogs to fend off lions and coyotes, so there is a lot of barking. Sometimes evwn a touch scary ifmout late on the porch or taking.pics of the beautifuly star littered night sky. Would stay there again in a heartbeat, it was as much fun at a place to stay as one could want.

Wonderful property and experience. Even though we were not part of the ranch life this stay made it feel that way. Horses, ranch dogs, puppies, chickens and roosters, pony, etc. I will say if you don't like bein woke up every morning by the farm noises (roosters and dogs, and horses), this may not be for you, but we loved it.

Stunning view off comfortable porch that I could look at every day. Gorgeous property with farm animals roaming around as pets. So special. Cabin wood floors were beautiful and so nice to walk on. Comfy bed, huge windows, clean, clean.

Could have been better property upkeep. Restaurant had tons of flies, so we didn't see it as an option to eat.

This property is very unique and makes you feel like you’re back in the wild Wild West days. Gorgeous, gorgeous views. One side of cabins looks out over an incredible red rock canyon and the other side out across a grassy plains with Zion formations in the distance. Unfortunately there was an awful sewage smell coming from the area around cabins. My husband suspected it to be the septic system draining into the pasture. Sitting on our porch was miserable because of the smell and at times it smelled in our cabin. The handle on one of the shower faucets was missing. We reported it and no one came to fix. We couldn’t get the cable to work for the tv. Front desk person wasn’t sure why but gave suggestions, which none worked. The onsite restaurant had incredible food! Unfortunately there were flies everywhere! They kept buzzing around our faces. A server was walking around swatting them but there were still a lot. The windows were filthy. 4 Smelly and very dirty large dogs roam the property and lodge. One threw up right in front of us in the lodge. Yuk. The bison were in a pen about three miles up the road which was disappointing. So….if you don’t mind things in disarray and not the cleanest and want a great western feel for your stay with great food, it’s very cool. All said, I would go back because of it’s uniqueness and friendliness of the staff.

cabin looks good spacious and bathroom has separation for tub shower toilet sink and closet, bed is comfy sheets and pillows smells and feel clean, Ac unit in our room dont work well, had a hard time sleeping cause it wont cool our room dont want to open windows cause there isnt screen except in toilet room but then again dont want bugs to come in since the screen can still let in bugs. woke up the 2nd day and spiders in tub had to squish then sorry. the cabin could do a little deep clean cause its a shame that the floor has alot of hard stains, needs some steam floor cleaning walls has alot web.. pathway to our room is dark and we got there at night and have to climb stairs to carry luggages compared to other areas where they dont have stairs to climb up just flat ground and paved our cabin with other ones are up on hill with stairs and climbing ground though covered with wood chips, still hard to pull all our stuff up. the food at the restaurant ( cordwood ) is great breakfast buffet for $19 each and croissant is amazing!! didnt get to experience lunch or dinners since were at zion park most of the day. would we come back again? yes but hope the room is better kept and Ac fixed.

Pluses: cabin size, property, walkability on property which was so so pretty, fireworks on new years, bonfire nightly, delicious restaurant, animals and dogs on property were sweet, nice pot belly stove in cabins for heat, great entry to Zion park on the low traffic side, near great restaurant the Thunderbird, and very nice handyman Leo (I think that was his name .. his wife is Brenna … he was great and so helpful). Negatives: only provided one blanket for 2 beds and gave a dirty blanket when requested the first time, housekeepers came by 1x to see if needed anything and they did not have toilet paper, bathroom and room had dirty corners and cobwebs and spiders, no broom provided when there is a need espec since no one uses daily housekeeping bc of covid, pot belly stove broke and using the heater was very very noisy. If we had to use heater the whole time it would have stunk. Chairs at table are very uncomfortable and couch needs replacing. Overall it was a fun stay bc we are very low maintenance folks. Many others might have been disappointed. We were told they are revamping the place soon. That should help. Has great potential.

The cabin was perfect! It was spacious, clean and perfect for our 1 night stay. The best part was the view of the buffalo right outside our front porch. Dallas and Seth were great to work with during our check in & check out process. Kellie (I think) server in the restaurant was excellent, too. Everyone was personable, engaging and kind! The only concern was the bathroom. It was freezing because there is not a heater in there and the heat from the larger room doesn't seem to enter that area very well. Being from AZ we are not used to the 30 degree evening temperatures! We loved our stay and will definitely be back! Thank you

Booked this place a stop on a short road trip from Las Vegas. Arrived in the dark so couldn't see the surroundings. Which were stunning by the way. The house that was assigned to us was okay. Pretty expensive place, but you don't have many other options in the area. Didn't feel as tranquil as expected. There are quite a few houses on the property. The lady who checked us in was very nice, the one who checked us out had thin patience but still did what she had to do. Just didn't communicate very well. Also questioned our itinerary which came off a bit odd. Overall: fun farm vibe. Chickens and dogs everywhere. So that was fun. We went to dinner in the on-property restaurant. The food Was pretty good, and so was the service. A bit on the expensive side though. Especially since you have to ask for basic things like some bread or croutons to go with the soup. Also very strange: the Caesar salad was full of anjovis. Wasn't mentioned on the menu. Might be something to be checked with the dinner guests before serving. Not everyone is ok with fish. The house was pretty clean, but the bedding felt a bit dusty. Also a bummer that one thermostat temperature is controlled for the whole house. And not separate in the bedrooms. The only way to cool your own bedroom is to use the fan or keep a window open. The bathtub wasn't clean and the shower had a very hard pressure. It actually hurt to shower. So these things might be handled to make the experience a bit better. Overall okay.

Very nice cabin, but a little bit of a strange layout. TV not viewable easily from the couch and very far away. Strange that they are "working on upgrading to smart tvs in each room". Our smart tv was just a simple 40" Vizio worth about . Both sides of the bed didn\'t have side tables. Giant dining table with 4 chairs but tiny kitchen. Kitchen was not well stocked. Giant bathroom that was a bit of a waste of space that would be better applied in. Big jetted tub, but it blasted dirt out of the jets. No hooks on the doors, no robes, for example. Chordwood restaurant was really expensive and not viable for daily use for longer stays. Overall it was fine, the room just kinda doesn\'t work.

Loved having our own cabin which was spacious, clean, and cozy. Beautiful scenery and close to Zion National Park.

The cabins are cute, they need some maintenance. I thought i had booked a king bed room but got two queens. The beds are not very comfortable.

My entire family couldn’t sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time. Woke up every single time the heater kicked on since the genius that designed the cabin installed the unit directly above the bed’s. I could keep going but not sleeping is the main reason we had such a horrible experience here.

The setting is gorgeous, and the animals around the property make it unique. We loved it. The excellent staff would do everything possible to accommodate their clients' wishes, and the selection of activities at the ranch was superb. I was very disappointed with the internet reception across the road in cabin #112. While it is understandable, people should be warned of that because the reception in the office and restaurant seemed better. If the reception is better in cabins on that side of the road, people may want to choose different cabins and pay more for internet access.

Great place to stay just outside of ZNP. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Cabin style place to stay with gorgeous views while at the on site dinner restaurant as well. Beds were cozy, a/c was wonderful. The shower, though somewhat modern, the water pressure should be toned down a bit, it kinda hurts lol

The cabins on a hill have a nice pastoral view, and nice decor. Ours even had a jacuzzi as well as a porch. But that was the lumpiest mattress ever, and I’m not picky. The pillows were too hard as well. I like to read a bit before sleep but there are no bedside lights, just the one in the center of the ceiling. And a minor point: one little bar of soap to serve the sink, the tub, and the shower. The owners need to spend a night in cabin 176 so as to be made aware of the need to notice these things.

Waking up to the crowing chickens and roaming buffalo was the best part of our families stay. After 2 showers, we were out of hot water…… It was a cold night, and our fireplace did not work. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Great cottage style place to stay near Zion National Park. Great view! Friendly staff! Nice restaurant options! I would give 5 stars if the following 2 areas were improved. (1) Super weak wifi signal in the cottage room. You can consider it as no internet because the signal dropped every 45-55 seconds then took 2-3 minutes to reconnect. Yes, I tested it myself. The staff told me there was a technical issue for the internet signal in the cottage area on that day. However, the main lobby/restaurant area got strong & usable signal. (2) Do not have a clear signage to help you find your cottage room. They did give a printed map though. Better than nothing but I drove into the wrong area when trying to get to the cottage room across the road by following the map. Overall, really nice stay and will come back again in the future if possible.

All the staff were so friendly. When I say all staff I mean maintenance workers, housekeepers, receptionist staff, and restaurant staff. Which is all staff we encountered while on the resort. They made our stay so enjoyable. All the farm animals were so entertaining for the kids. I would really Recommend staying here. The only thing was the restaurants are limited. So we just planned out food while we were out visiting the parks. The resort does have a restaurant which is so cozy with a fire and the food was wonderful.

We stayed here for three nights and explored Zion National Park. Perfectly located, super friendly staff. We felt so welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended! Tony and Jonny are the best!

We had a great time at Zion Mountain Ranch. The staff was so friendly. Loved seeing all the animals at the ranch. It was very quiet and the cabin was perfect. Would highly recommend!!!

The cabin was great! Location was perfect and close to Zion! The property with the dogs, animals, and its surroundings was beautiful! The only bad thing I’d have to say about our stay is the service at Cordwood (onsite restaurant). Service was so slow - in order to get a table, get our order taken, and food being delivered. Other than that it was a fabulous stay!

Our stay was superb. The Ranch is Magnificent and we could not have been more pleased. The staff over the top and the restaurant was excellent. Everything about our visit was top notch . Amy at reception was over the top. Informative and knowledgeable. Our hope is that we can return for a longer stay next time. Our only complaint is that the bathtub jets tub was not functioning.

The place offers excellent service and exceptional customer service. It was quiet and serene. The owner upgraded our accommodations without us requesting it, The locations is a few miles from the east entrance to Zion NP so easy to get in and out of the park. It also offers a beautiful drive to Bryce Canyon NP about 90 minutes away. Would highly recommend the stay.

Service was absolutely dire, with confusion over what was on the menu. An inability to serve the overly expensive and limited choice wine appropriately, with it being stored in the fridge away from the table and hoping to attract someone to refill the glass. The food was that bad and not cooked to order, nor as described that one plate was not eaten (a refund was offered and accepted). We would not eat here again nor stay here. On checking out was not asked how stay was or else would have given feedback in person.

Amazing, calm location just outside Zion National Park. Absolutely loved the solitude and beauty. Cabin was even nicer than the photos suggested. Restaurant was expensive but conveniently located. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I loved the place, but far away from all the activity in Zion. I guess if you want to be away 30 min anway from all the activities it’s a nice quiet spot. We enjoyed our stay here.

The perfect ranch getaway that is also less than 10 minutes from Zion.

Liked staying in the ranch with quiet surroundings. Watched the bisons grazing in the morning. Easy access to Zion scenic drive and Bryce Canyon is only about an hour and 15 minutes away.

Cool place! It’s a short drive from Zion national Park and there’s only really one restaurant option but the restaurant is pretty good. Our cabin was quiet, clean and had all the amenities we needed and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, it's a nice ranch to stay at as you will see bison and other animals around. The only complaint is that the location is far from the Zion National Park Visitor Center. You need to wait before entering the tunnel as it's narrow, so you have to give way to bigger cars. The total travel time between the ranch and the visitor center takes about 45 minutes one way.

Great location when visiting Zion and Bryce.

Clean and quiet place. Did not really experience the ranch feel. Its far from the main parts of the park and there was limited to no dining options within 30 mins.

Beautiful location and great atmosphere. Note: 30 minutes drive from Zion national park visitor center. Come before 07:30 am in the summertime to get parking.

We enjoyed staying in a cabin with lots of privacy. The breakfast buffet was awesome, we had lunch there once, very good. And, dinner on our anniversary was great. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. GREAT

Absolutely great property, cabins are perfect and the food is better than amazing.

Highly recommend staying at Zion Mountain Ranch! I stayed here with my wife and two children for 4 days/3 nights. The cabins are a decent size and beds are very comfortable. Plenty of activities/amenities on site to keep adults and children entertained. And Chef Tim at the restaurant consistently made us the most delicious farm to table meals every day with rotating specials. Looking forward to a future visit!

Such a cool place to stay. Love the dogs, ducks, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. that roam around on this beautiful property, along with the many garden areas. The restaurant was really good. Bison burger was delicious. Cabins were clean with comfortable beds. If you want a rustic environment, this is it. Love the whole vibe from this place. A little far from Zion. We stayed here one night when visiting Bryce, and I wish we would have stayed more nights.

Loved the cabin but not thhe restaurant. Waitstaff was not familiar with the menu and forgot our drinks. Also food was not good. The restaurant was hyped up but proved to be disappointing. Ex: when you order butter lettuce salad and get romaine.Also table waited a half hour only to find out their order never was never put in.
