Basic accommodation which was wwll located fir Birmingham meeting. Liked the campus setting in a green and pleasant park. Handy car park however leave your car across tge road for free parking. We stayed here for 6 nights while visiting our daughter at UofB. The location was very convenient as it was near her residence. For the price, this was a great option for us. Nothing special but clean, quiet and comfortable. The shower/ensuite was adequate but showing wear and the shower did not drain well. The listing says that laundry is available but be aware that this is a laundry service and the rates are incredibly high! £11.50 to launder a single t-shirt!!! We did not use this service, although we had counted on it! Otherwise though, this was a good option for our needs.

This hotel is value for money. We use it when we take our son back to university each term. We use the lovely facilities - bar and breakfast - at the Edgbaston Park Hotel. Peter Scott is comfortable, clean and very convenient for a short stay.

Excellent venue, free gym and pool access in huge University sports centre.- worth a lot in itself For any graduates , great nostalgic setting. Rooms very clean - traditional academic pine decor. Accommodation is named after son of Captain Scott & former Chancellor of the University. Extremely good value for money, room has everything you could wish for

The hotel is in two parts. We were in Peter Scott annex, which is across the road, but not a problem. The room was ideal for an overnight stay, light and airy and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were adequate. The reception and bar areas were well serviced. We returned from a concert at midnight and the bar was closed, but the night reception staff served us a last drink. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Attending my daughters graduation at the university so an ideal location as just a short walk to campus. Rooms were well equipped with all we needed and clean. Use of facilities at the hotel opposite was a bonus.

Our room was clean with a comfortable bed but overall the place was very dated. The beige bathroom had seen better days, damage to the ceiling etc. Lift out of order. Check in at the conference centre was friendly and efficient with free parking but a bit of a walk from the Peter Scott building. It was fine for a one night stopover but if you wanted to spend any considerable time in your room, I'd pay the extra £20 for the main hotel.

I am still waiting for someone to contact me regarding this as I complained when I arrived me nothing happened. Room filthy and mouldy Window would not shut so room was freezing 25 minutes from the markets which was not stated on the website as stated it’s one of the closest hotels Not stated it’s uni accommodation and full of kids Room is not located near any of the facilities Not happy at all And my complaint was ignored

Rooms great, price was great, very clean. Only confusing bit is on arrival to where reception is. Ok you get a message telling you but it’s not very useful when driving and following a Sat nav. Should really be in the hotel description. Especially when you arrive and Peter Scott House doesn’t say anything about being a hotel and signage points to the other hotel across the road :-)

I had room 6, which is clearly designed for people with access issues. Nothing wrong with that, the bathroom was essentially a wet room. Again, nothing wrong with that. The shower head seemed quite small and without much power. It also was at a maximum height that only reached to just below shoulder level. I am not particularly tall, 177cm. I’d have liked to be able to stand upright and wash my hair. The double bed was actually two narrow single beds, made up separately. I did not sleep well.

Room absolutely fine, clean and well equipped. Shower quite powerful but shower tray was slow to drain, thought it was going to flood! Tv didn’t work(no signal), mentioned this for 2 mornings until I was moved rooms, new room only had 2 channels! The reason for my stay, was that it was close to QE hospital (5 min drive) where a relative was staying, so definitely could have done with the tv in the evenings to chill.

I spent 2 nights in this place. The property was clean and neat. However, on the first night, at 1am, there was someone attempted to open my room using a key. Lucky enough, I was awake and I could hold the door handle, but I dare not take a peek of who was outside. The second night, I was barely sleep at all since I could hear some women chatting and giggling on the corridor throughout the night.

Peter Scott House is comfortable and clean, but a little tired, however this is reflected in the price, compared to the main Edgbaston Park Hotel. The bar area is lovely, as is the dining area and breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel surroundings are beautiful. A very pleasant stay.

The room is very dated. There are no staff at the property, so I couldn't really rate the staff, but I didn't want to give 1 start for that, but it's really N/A. the lift has been out of order for months. On the upside, it was quiet.

Room, food and location were good. Reception staff were poor. Getting info on parking arrangements was like drawing teeth. Paid for 2 rooms but when my friend went to check in an hour later, he was told he hadn't paid. No apology was given when proof of payment shown later. Paid for 2 breakfasts each when checking in but on arriving at restaurant each morning no record of booking on list and had to show card payments to staff member who was very good. Time to sharpen up your act me thinks.

There was a bus direct from New Street Station to the hotel. The area around the hotel was very quiet and well maintained. 30 minute walk from Edgbaston Cricket Ground good carparking.

Was fine, room was not brilliant, but good. Bar/restaurant was good. Just wish we had been told that the annex we were in was more or less empty, as we put the car in the large car park, to walk across the road to find one car in the car park, and am it was raining. But would recommend.
