Sleep Inn Orangeburg

I am disabled . Use a walker and cane. I requested a room that would suit my needs. All the pictures show disabled bathroom and emphasized wheelchair and disability accesss. I requested being near an elevator due to my disability and I use a walker. They do d put ,e in a room by the elevator but my room was dar fromADA standards. I couldn't even get on bed. Front desk gave us a step stool. My friend had to lift my mom and I into and out of the hotel fh beds with gate belts. My mom and I couldn't shower. I was looking forward to a shower, I was told there are only 4 ADA rooms and on the first floor. When I checked in they were well aware of my disability and my mom being frail and elderly. There was no water pressure in the sink and we were pretty much stuck on the bed once we got on. Our friend was up all night helping us to the bathroom. The staff was nice. Especially the man working buffet . Trevell I believe was his name. He let us take our time and was so kind and patient with my friends 5 year old who also had to get help into the bed. Our room key stopped working at 10:45.check out was 11. Told needed to book and pay for 2 rooms to get ADA room with 2 queens. This place mainly advertised bein ADA friendly. My back hurts from bring hoisred up all night. If she hadn't lifted us we couldn't have used beds.NOT ADA friendly.i wanted to be sure there was an elevator since I'm disabled didn't need one if ADA was only first floor. Employees should know the hotel . I don't .

It was a little difficult to get to as the entrance is not well marked.

We had an issue with our clothes when using the hotel dryer. The manager April Fersner did not return our call and did not show up for our meeting to discuss the issue. I had to contact the hotel corporate office to get anyone to respond to our issue.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The handicapped room had good accessibility in the bathroom for my son who is in a wheelchair. It didn't feel like the hotel was in the safest of areas, but it was right off the interstate and right next door to a convenience store/gas station and a Waffle House (great chix sandwich for supper). The hardwood floor in our room could have used a mopping - walked in the room with my white socks on, which quickly became brown on the bottom.

The rooms need thorough deep cleaning to include bathroom door. Unauthorized parking in handicap area. People hanging out in front of the motel. Limited breakfast items. Front desk Staff is friendly and helpful.

The pool appeared old, very small and not clean

There was only 1 ice machine and when I go ice there was dirt and mold in the ice.

Stayed in many Sleep Inns but this one was not up to standard. Rooms were not clean and it needed a refresh for sure. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Easy exit off I26 but I don’t think I’d stay again. Too bad. I really like Sleep Inn.

No hot water during my stay. Hair in the bathtub.

The property was not ideal. The room itself was not cleaned properly. The shower had hair in it. The bathroom was small and confined trying to enter the shower backed you up to the toilet or the very dirty door that should be replaced. There were dead bugs smashed on the ceiling and the microwave was dirty. The air conditioner took all day and night to cool the room. The staff I dealt with was nice and tried to be helpful, other than the staff that closed up breakfast over 30 min early, just because she wanted to.

Not as clean as expected. Insect came out of the bath mat. The bath mat was stuck, probably humidity had it glued to the bath.

The stay was rather decent, but one thing that I felt like was a big negative was the fact that there's roaches. If it's one big I can not stay are roaches, and I have seen them for the past 2 nights I have stayed at this Inn. And I get it it's probably a high populated area but roaches are a no go for me. We were here for business work, and we have to stay in budget with this company. The best part about it was that restaurants are pretty much in walking distance.

Hotel was nice. The only issue was the bed cover had stains on it. Other than that the room was okay. We will stay again.

Our stay was awful. The room was musty, we thought once we circulate the heating it would get better. But we figured out the odor was in the bathroom. It almost smelled like a sewer. We kept the door closed during the night. Not sure what exactly the problem was, but we told the front desk they said the would tell the manager.

Room need repairs in bathroom and was dirty.

The bathroom was to small and the smell at the halls and inside my room was awful 😞 like ppl was consuming. Plus the AC wasn’t working properly. Nice place is not the first time i stayed there but is the first time that happened.

The access road to get to the property runs through the side of the BP gas station. Every night at 11:30 some individual decided to test out his Nascar exhaust on his car in the parking lot adjoining the hotel.

Check in was very pleasant after a long day of driving. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Washroom was dated and if you want a tub, you will need to request one.

Horrible experience!! Unfriendly staff at front desk and cats all around the front entry door (also two vagrants hanging around outside). Our room was hot with a horrible musty smell when we first walked in and very outdated. Do not recommend!!

The over night stay was good. Late night activity at a local Waffle House was very loud. This took place until about 3:00am.. Which made it difficult to sleep.

The breakfast bar had a good vairiety for the price youpay, it did have two Belgium Waffle Makers which I have never seen before in a hotel. I thought that was pretty cool! The staff was very curtious and helpful.

The staff was absolutely the most welcoming and helpful I've ever encountered.

Great customer service. Ensured everthing in the room was working correctly. Reasonable selection for breakfast (hot and cold items). Close to reataurants too.

I have excellent service and the staff if friendly and professional. I really appreciate how accommodating they are and compassionate the staff is.

Booked and paid for a room on July 9th. Let me repeat this July 9th. Arrived at the room on July 12th and was told I didn't have a room because I booked through a 3rd party so it took 3 days for you to tell me that. Than why didn't you refund me my money or email me. You gave my room to someone willing to pay more and thought it was okay to give me that sorry excuse. Next step Corporate.

Even at 4 pm people were hanging around in the parking lot. Worse after dark. Did not feel safe.

Moved my daughter from Baymont Orangeburg (lots of sketchy people hanging out around that motel where the room you enter is easily seen) to Sleep Inn and it was a wonderful stay! She felt safe, room was clean, breakfast was good!!

My room was clean, comfortable, and I slept just fine. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. Very happy with my stay.

They were phenomenal, the hospitality was amazing and the food was great. Our room was clean and it smelt nice the bathroom was excellent, we will be coming back!!
