Motel 6-Gaithersburg, DC - Washington

Easy walking to shopping easy parking .

This was an affordable, no frills room which was clean and comfortable. No hair dryer or shampoo or facial tissues, all of which are standard items at most motels. Overall, we would recommend this motel for value and cleanliness.

Check-in was quick and I got a room on the ground level on the backside if the hotel. The AC unit was filthy dirty with caked on dust and no cover over the screen. The bathroom was dirty but most concerning was the room reeked of smoke. It was a non-smoking room but it was a strong odor. I have stayed at Motel 6 in the past and was very happy with the facilities. The basics of a room stay were not there, no soap, no cups or coffee maker, I would not stay here again.

Roach infested room looked nothing like the photos on the site. Room was filthy, multiple items broken, sink had no water pressure, HVAC very noisy and couldn't be turned off. Exterior almost as dirty with trash piled up and rodents running around. Couldn't stay here and was refused a refund. STAY AWAY.

Filthy and disgusting rooms

There were roaches in the bathroom, and trash all around the property. This place was awful.

Gas station close but only good thing. Shower looked like a horror scene

One of the filthiest and run down places I've ever stayed in. Had to buy toilet cleaning products and clean the filth. Cockroaches running lose, dust and dirt everywhere. Place feels, looks and is a dump. Stat away.

I puked in the bathroom due too how dirty the room was

I am asthmatic and the bathroom was full of mold and mildew!!! I got the room for work and had a hard time sleeping due to having chest pain and chest tightness... The bathroom is old and rusted, meaning you can see the rust everywhere!!! I had to leave out to get cleaning supplies and air freshener just so I could sleep in the room... And the bed was hard and uncomfortable. There were gnats and flies in the room as well. The best part about the room were the pillows....

The room smelled moldy. There were cockroaches everywhere I could sleep the whole night I was there. They would refund me my money. All around horrible experience

Decent and affordable

Very sparse room furnishings, just two kitchen chairs and a table in addition to the king bed. Immediately adjacent to a car dealership. TV remote non-functional.

Bed is pretty hard, was clean. Endless hot water.

Booked single king bed rooms and was told we had to have double queen because we used the app. Overall it was very run down. Had to ask for different bedding because they looked dirty. Walls had holes in them the sink and shower fixtures were loose. And to top it all off, there is train tracks that runs right next to the parking lot all night. Should have cost less than $30 not $100 a night

Very basic accommodations. Not the prettiest area. Sketchy clientele. Wish we'd spent a bit more to stay in a nicer place.

Did not realize there was a train track behind the motel. I had to sleep with the TV on to drown it the sound.

Staff was decent. Property clean. Facilities were cross between a homeless shelter and a halfway house.

The property is definitely being used as a shelter. There were also roaches in the room. We were refunded and the front desk clerk denied looking at the pictures of the roaches. He was very helpful

Motel 6 used to cost $6..this location should charge $6..meth-head with 5 kids next door..dogs without leashes..chikdren playing in parking and driveway up to midnight...staff rude and dismissive..will not allow anyone to stay >28 days here or on any maryland super 8 Location can be safe or dangerous; no security. Get staff upset with any question, you are invited to leave. Unkept, dingy. Check in guy was a bit less than friendly.

Very friendly desk staff, room met expectations, no issues at all.

I called earlier in the day to see if my early am arrival would be ok. They said i could come in as late as i want. I arrived they cancelled my reservation without notifying me.

Very easy access from the interstate and to my destinations for my visit.

In corner of parking lot abutted to highway very poor location. We left after 1 hour did not feel safe. People roaming the premises that were homeless. Not good motel
