Motel 6-Sunnyvale, CA - South

Facility is clean and as expected for the cost. Some minor issues with ice machine and laundry equipment but otherwise OK. Not close to retailers but there is a Dennis’s and BK next to hotel.

The pool was closed and tge room i rented for my not have a fridge or microwave which was very important since he was staying a week and couldnt afford to eat all his meals out.

It was horrible. NEVER will stay at this hotel. No Ice. Thin mattresses is like sleeping on the floor. No HOT WATER for shower. Ask staff, why no hot water " let it run for a half hour" Seriously, I got to go to work. Worst is not able to take a shower. Ice machine broke down for over a month. Never again!

Rooms are clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, swimming pool needed a little cleaning but still clean enough for us to use, plenty of restaurant walking distance and grocery stores.

The location is good, but the motel has cockroaches and ants. The roaches come out at night and ants check around the trash bins. I recommend not leaving any food out. Used food containers should be rinsed so ants and roaches aren't attracted. The listed amenities do not work. Internet is horribly slow and unavailable if you are far from the main office. Ice machine is down and hasn't been fixed for weeks. The pool gets cleaned infrequently. There is no shampoo and soap is horrible. Bring your own.

Staff were really nice especially Melissa. I like the stay here. The only negative about this place is my room didn’t have hot water, bathroom fan wasn’t working & no ice (because the machine was broken). Other than that, it’s a decent stay for a good affordable place. I would bump up my ratings if the above are fixed the next time we come again. Hope this helps!

Kind and helpful staff, but the property was lacking operable wifi all seven days of my being there, as well as working washer/drying machines.

Nice, comfortable, clean and dont hold deposits. They just keep you card on file until you checkout.

Staff was nice and price was great. The room was small and mattresses were really dirty. I found two baby roaches on my stay but at least no bed bugs.

The room was okayish clean but the beds had dips/holes in them, the shower has black mold, the furniture is very worn out and the room was very small. Also I was supposed to get Wi-Fi with my stay but when i logged into the Wi-Fi it said i didn't have internet access. I wouldn't recommend staying here for $100 a night.

Wi-Fi was not working for 2 days In room No break fast instead of mentioning in web site Room was small and only double bed

Room was a bit noisy but otherwise in ok condition. The Internet and TV service were glitchy. There was no one available at the front-desk available to check me in despite waiting for 15 mins. So I had to return an hour later. Ample parking space.

Clean hotel, no frills. You could hear the people in the rooms either side, so not the quietest room. But generally a good hotel.

No shampoo to take a shower. Bathroom fan is so loud that you cannot sleep with it on. Light and fan under 1 switch. Can hear neighbors talking and street noise. Small room. Under average.

Sounds from outside and adjacent rooms come through fairly easily.

Room was too small for our wheelchair family member. Hotel was old and grimy. Cigarette butts all over the parking lot. staff was very nice. The front desk girl was great. The beds were very old spring mattresses. Bathroom floor was soft. Nice restraunt next door. Will not stay at this hotel again..due to conditions.

Walls are paper thin, so just hope that you don't have a neighbor!

Decent property, the staff was very nice, the grounds are clean but the rooms could use a bit of an upgrade, the bathtub made a bit of noise and the shower selector is a bit old, and the toilets could be modernized. the TV reception was not that great, like some channels would have the image freeze every 4-5 seconds but the audio was fine. however overall its very good

Worst place ever guy in front desk racist and rude

Check in time was at 3pm but our room was not ready. We were told it would take 30 more minutes which turned into 2 hours. We did not get into our room till 5pm.

Booked reservation through Hotel.com, for that night check in. Received confirmation # and received a great price. Arrived at Motel 6 that night at about 11:10, and was told they had no reservation, in spite of me showing it to him (from my phone) and was told he could not do anything. Left and contacted Hotel.com who confirmed that I did, and they gave me another confirmation # to give them. (I was on a chat with Hotel .com and they stayed on the line with me while I called the office from another phone,) Spoke to a female and after 20 minutes, she too confirmed the reservation and guaranteed to give us the price we booked at. Meanwhile, customer service from Hotel.com called the office at Motel 6 as well and let me know the same info. Went BACK to the office, told the person who all I had spoken with and he STILL said he could not give us this price! We finally broke down due to fatigue and we’re willing to pay the extra, and was then told I would have to give a major bank-held card in case they had to charge me for extras, damaged to the room etc. (I am 60 + yrs. and not likely for me to trash room. Well, I do not use a bank and do not have a credit card from one. But he said I had to have one in order to check in. At this point I was furious. Ended up going else-wear. NOT hotel.com’s issue, they were outstanding-Motel 6 South, the WORST customer service ever.!!! End score: Hotel.com = 202 Motel 6, South = 0 If I could give them lower, I would.

This Motel 6 was remodeled. My room was nice with wood floors, new sink, and clean. My only could plan it would be the bed was a little beat up. The mattress needed upgrading. Other than that, it was very nice for the price. Just off the 101 freeway so convenient location.

Good price for a basic motel in this expensive area. Very convenient, close to freeway and major roads. At the same time, reasonably quiet. Staff us very friendly and helpful, housekeeping is great. My room was OK, but could use renovation. Very poor Wi-Fi connection is the major problem.

Noisy; above room; Harley cycle, barking dogs. Room substandard; dated not well maintained. AC limit set for heat & AC. Check in bad .. said it was California policy to not stay 21 days; actually Motel 6 owner policy. Overall a very depressing stay. Only good; location. Don’t stay You? Less no other choice and limit stay.

A nice get away for two days. The location was amazing with famous technology companies in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

This is a bear minimal motel with no fridge, hair dryer or shampoo in the room, but it was as described; simple, clean room located near highways with free parking and breakfast places nearby. 7 minutes drive to the Historic Murphy Avenue with great dining options. Free parking at the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station after 6pm.

Not much to say about a motel 6 but I’ll give credit when it’s due. It’s one of the smaller sized motel 6, which I don’t think it really matters to some but the less rooms the less people, crowds, potential noisy neighbors if your more of a low key person. Location is great, fast food within walking distance, other hotels and gas stations too. Free entrance is literally across the street and not too far from SF, 35 minute drive or so without traffic. Room was very clean, checking attendant was friendly and even called to make sure if everything was okay about an hour after check in. That was thoughtful. No noisy neighbors and area around location was nice. There’s was an odd incident where a stranger knocked on my door asking for someone by name which i thought was extremely odd as I never had anything like this happen but calmly said they have the wrong room. He left and didn’t return. Weird right? Other than that, a decent stay at motel 6 this time around.
