I really wanted to like this hotel. There are some positives. The location to the Magic Kingdom can't be beat. It was so convenient to be right on the monorail line and have the option to walk to the MK. We ate at the California Grill our first night. Food was delicious and the fireworks viewing was an added bonus. Our server, Walter, was fantastic! Everyone at the restaurant was very friendly. Our interaction with the front desk....not so much. They answered our questions but weren't overly friendly or upbeat in classic Disney fashion. We stayed in the Garden Wing on the first floor with a water view. I was very disappointed at the condition of that building. The carpet was stained and the walls/baseboards needed paint touch up. Our room was large but dated. I got more "motel" vibes than luxury or upscale hotel. The condition of the Garden Wing did not warrant the price we paid for the room. There was no Disney magic. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable although my husband thought the bed was too soft, but we are used to a fairly firm bed at home. We ate at Steakhouse 71 for breakfast the morning we checked out. Not impressed. It did not give me upscale steakhouse vibes. Seemed more like a classic Disney sit-down restaurant. The food was ok. Our server was very sweet but service was very slow. To be fair, it seemed like she had a lot of tables to serve. I would probably not eat there again but would eat at the California Grill.

Absolutely beautiful property, I walked around the entire place and all was exceptional. Super clean and nice room, especially considering the age of the design. Excellent inside. Our room attendant was super nice, thanks. All the building were in excellent shape - some construction going on around the conventions center- did not interfere with our stay. Only issue I had was not enough time there... Pools don't open till 10AM so no fun to be had before checkout! Was only able to dip my feet in the kiddie fountains. Some webpages list the "adult" pool open early - that was NOT the case. Locked too behind the main pool.

The Hotel needs urgently a refresh. Everything works well but its old. The cleaning service is slow. We left the room at 9am returned at 4 pm and nothing was done only after I called they came.

I loved this hotel, 5 minute walk to magic kingdom. Our room was incredibles themed which was a nice added touch. Loved the toiletries in the room and beds were very comfy. Could have been soundproofed a little better but I think this is probably the case for most hotels. Loved it and would return
