Motel 6-Pismo Beach, CA

Nice pool. AC didnt work.

Parking was safe & plenty of shopping and fast food areas.

Enjoyed the pool, though it seemed to need cleaning.

Place is clean. Accessibility bathroom is not ideal—water flows out to flood the rest of the bathroom. Lack countertop for toiletry. Room is clean and efficient. Coffee n tea provided in common area, appreciated. Laundry closed at 10pm! Need to keep open later as most travelers do laundry at nite and arrived late.

Property had no ac in any rooms been down over 3 weeks and wasnt warned about this ,ice machines didnt even work toilet plugged up only had 1 pillow i asked for 1 more didnt ever get it ,i had to go buy a fan and a pillow js to be a lil more comfortable, everyone was buying fans to try n stay cool there for this motel 6 to be in pismo u would think it would be a lil bit better but i will nvr go there again!

The AC was out in every until and we were not told until we got there, and it was too late to book with any other hotel due to the holiday. Room was filthy. Food was left in the refrigerator from last occupants. Cable on the TV was not working. Dryer was out of service. There was no ICE ready in the ICE machine. Pool was also filthy. I have stayed at this motel multiple times and this was my first bad experience there. Usually clean and convenient. Alot of unsatisfied customers this time. I really love this location and I hope they do better.

The desk clerk gave a discount because the ac was not working. The room was clean. I love that not only do they accept pets. But, pets stay free. 😊

I arrived for a late night check-in around midnight. Greeted the front desk attendant with a friendly hello. He rudely asked for my ID and license plate number. His demeanor to me was almost as if I was bothering him. He finished the check-in process and I went to my room. I noticed that the shower was still dirty along with the shower curtains. There was a red residue on the shower curtains, almost like blood. The shower curtains do not keep the water inside the shower so when I was finished with my shower, I stepped out to a puddle of water on the floor. An extra towel too luckily I had an extra towel to soak up all of the water. Location did have convenient parking.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We were there two nights and the room was not visited by housekeeping despite us being out of the room for most of the second day. We had to empty our own trash and ask for extra towels in the lobby. The pool was fun for the kiddos.

Clean. Excellent service. Convenient laundry. Close to 5 star restaurants and the ocean. Grocery store near and freeway access is easy. This one has a lot to offer location wise.

Dirty uncomfortable beds just look nasty, shower had weird stains, towels where dirty.When we how inside it stinked like wet dog. At night you hear banging until like three am. The only good thing is the tv. Definitely a last resort hotel. Check in said 3pm arrived at 3 pm and was told rooms were not ready and was denied use of a bathroom for my daughter. Gave phone number to call when room was ready at 6pm we tried again had to wait a minute and room was given to us. Rude customer service every time we interacted with them. Definitely will NEVER stay there again.

Room wasn’t clean. There was a A spider on the bed and bugs crawling on the wall the room was dusty and not swept

They only had smoker rooms available even tho i reserved ahead of time. The door wouldn't shut all the way and i felt unsafe. My AC wasn’t working and I heard several other people complain that their room had the same issues. When i checked between the headboard and the mattress, used cotton swabs and what looked like co*dom wrappers were found. Sheets had an unpleasant odor. The pool was dirty and was full of bugs The bathroom towels were full of hair.

The room was mediocre and the floors were dirty, specially the restroom shower. The bed sheets had hair on them.

They have no ac working, when we checked in the bed sheets were not even changed they had hair on them, also there was mold on the window we had our window open because the room was hot & the window had no screen the room was not clean properly not even wiped down or mopped it so run down never again will I stay there. It was not worth the money I paid. The water was leaking in the shower the maintenance guy came in said it was fine n brought us extra towels so we could clean up the floor , when he could have mopped it . It was so inconvenient and so disgusting

Filthy restroom and shower. Bed bugs. No sympathy or offer to reimburse part of the price. Second worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

The first room shower had mold it and it smelled bad The second room wall underneath the towels had mold and the shower tile was creaking . The room smell bad. I asked for a refund and was told I was gyro have to pay for one night because I had been in the room for two hours. Once I explained why I wasn’t satisfied with neither room, the hotel manager agreed to credit me the full amount and not change me for the one day. I hope they make the necessary repairs.

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Black mold all over the room, I had to kill baby roaches and large spiders. So so dirty. Don’t stay here. Seriously, do not waste your money. Also our fire detector was covered when we got here??

We were made to wait 20 minutes because the rooms weren’t clean when they said they would be. We ended up checking in and were given room 251. We walked in and walked right back out because the room was a disheveled mess. Was very obvious the room was indeed, not clean. We told the receptionist who checked us in and then we just left. Didn’t even stay. We would like our money back for this experience and I think deservedly so.

Hotel was average, bed wasn’t very comfy and the pillows were flat & uncomfortable. Also not having a mini fridge sucked

Air Conditioning not working. Property was not clean. Screen was broken. No shampoo

The place is convenient but the 1st room assigned to us was the air condition blowing hot air #268 so we had to ask for another room , the towels are there but it had hairs on one of the bath towels, toilet seat is uncomfortable to seat on almost coming off in room#252 The other place /room smells like molds and the toilet is hardly flushing room#152. I guess it needs to replace the toilets and re condition the rooms for better smell. That's is my review!

Place is old and ran down there was nails holing the door together beds are super uncomfortable my back was killing me the next day. room needs a deep cleaning you can tell they just do the basic cleaning and that’s it! Room had NO ac wasn’t told before I paid for my room

You get what you pay for. Annoying to have to go 3 times to get a room key that actually opened room. No air, lukewarm shower, and shower curtain that kept touching me in a tiny quarter circle shower. But, as a cheap alternative we survived.

Room is really small, beds are small, not comfortable for 4 people like they say, rooms are old, mattress was old, they need to be remodel ASAP, definitely not worth almost $500 for 2 nights

So we checked in and was told there hasn’t been AC since July we checked in August 9 The USB plug-in did not work. There were no lamp by the bed. The place smelled it was just terrible for $161 for the night. Will never stay there again.

Had to move to 3 rooms the 3rd one was good but i would not stay here again air did not work moved us to a disable room cause we are both disable but room had only a full size bed finally 3rd room was ok but very nosie would not recommend this motel to anyone staff Ericka was very helpful

Subject: Request for Refund – Motel 6 Pismo Beach – AC Not Working I declined to stay at Motel 6 Pismo Beach under Expedia res. ########. The room had no working AC despite being advertised(for the entire property via sign posting on office door and hotel attendant re stating “you’re already getting a deal no more will be given to all guests in line, too bad no AC during a heat wave take or leave it!). Staff could not resolve or relocate me because the whole property had no working AC!!!!! At that point offer refunds not just say the booking sites were made aware!!!!! Then offer me no refund get tf out here!!!!! I’m requesting a full refund or written confirmation supporting a refund to my booking agency. I ended up getting a last minute suite a Hampton Inn Arroyo Grande. You should have contacted people before check in time so they could book elsewhere not have them greated by a sign and overwhelmed staff having to defend the company’s greedy tactics. If I wanted to pay for a third world experience I would have gone to a third world country during a heatwave. This is definitely not what I payed for!!!! Do NOT stay HERE it is in a run down state and catfish pics of the property. The room lacked functioning air conditioning, which was advertised and a material amenity. This is services not as described. Please escalate to a Tier 2/Customer Relations supervisor and review for a full refund under Expedia’s “Hotel amenities not available” policy and your merchant obligations.

For the price and the fact that it is summer time the motel did its job. I did have to wait in line for awhile to check in but there was only one worker and he really put in effort to providing the best service possible. He maintained a very positive attitude even though customers were upset. The room wasn’t the best but again it wasn’t ridiculously overpriced. I really appreciate the front desk staff member, he was amazing.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this is honestly one of the best interactions I had the front desk. Lady was super nice and polite. Gave me extra ice buckets restaurants, liquor, stores, gas stations, very close by I will definitely be coming back

It was an average stay, I feel I was charged an overpriced amount for my stay. The first employee, a lady, had terrible customer service. She provided no solution, would instruct customers to come back later (seemed like she wanted to stack the work for the next shift). The man to took over the front was overloaded with customers, he did his best. However, NO rooms were ready during check-in time. After checking in I waited one hour to get my room key, only to find my room was still not ready (per housekeeping). I was in the area for a sports event, and was stuck in my car instead of being able to relax in my room before game time. Thankfully, after my games, my room was ready. The TV was basically blacked out, you could hardly see in the the dark. I ended up using my own devices to watch TV, etc.

The front staff were friendly and helpful. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We definitely enjoyed our stay with you!

We called ahead and were told it would be $20 extra for an early check in, we were running late To our event so we agreed and advised that we would arrive shortly. We got there in less than 25 minutes and were greeted by a security guard in the office and were advised the clerk left and would be back. We waited 20 mins and she finally arrived. We were advised in check in that all AC units on the property were not working and there would be no discount. We went to our room. The sink plunger was broken and we had to get underneath to remove it so we could use the sink! There were “body hairs” in the bottom of the shower.. NASTY! The only positive thing about the property is that there was a security guard on duty.

Richard at the front desk was very friendly and gave excellent customer service.

Customer service was bad, we checked in around 5 PM w reservations & had to wait almost half an hour due to the rooms still being cleaned. Checked in & the room was barely clean. No AC, it's been out for months w no plans of fixing it soon. Heavy foot traffic at night, made it kind of loud & difficult to sleep. Found a bug, not a bed bug but still not very clean. Okay place to sleep, but find something better, usually not picky w motel 6 but the service was bad.

I requested a non smoking room and the hotel did not have any left when I showed up for check in. The front desk representative was very rude about it also. The rooms are not in good shape.

Hotel was very run down shower floor was cracked baseboards were falling off. The only thing this hotel has going for them is location location is perfect Near outlets close to everything.

Staff was great- hard working even with many people to handle. The amenities are sparse but reasonable for the price and are as advertised. Close to Dennys, sushi restaurants, markets, shopping, etc. Great value for the price, especially on a holiday weekend.

The area is nice for being able to hop on and off the 101. The staff was not friendly when checking in but the staff in the morning were better. The room shower had a repair so in the middle of the white shower floor was this big yellow brown spot used to fix it so it looked like someone had done their business in the room.

Walking distance to Restaurants and gas station also easy access to the freeway.

We arrived VERY early, the woman at the front let us check in anyway and had informed us the ac didn’t work, but she waved the early check in fee. The room was nice and clean and the bed was SUPER comfortable, window open and we forgot all about the ac! You get a discount at the dennys next door as well, the parking is super accessible, staff is all very kind, definitely looking to stay here again!

The blonde lady in the front was very nice and professional. The hotel overall was ok for the prize, but not many utilities, no microwave, no fridge, no blow dryer. Good hotel for a simple stay.

It was a last minute decision to spend the night. It was OK. very affordable. And next to a GREAT DENNY'S.

Poor service. Was told on check in the AC wasn’t working but because I pre paid for the room there was nothing that could be offered to me. The room is extremely noisy making it difficult to get rest. Witnessed several other guests trying to resolve problems at the front desk. No coffee maker, no fridge.

Property was clean I love that it was right next to the shopping center and walking distance to many restaurants and the shopping center. It’s a good cheap place to stay family friendly
