Motel 6-Palm Desert, CA - Palm Springs Area

The staff was excellent, the pool was refreshing on a hot day. Coffee was available and Del Taco, right next door was also good!

Door to our room looked like someone had tried breaking into it at one point, frame of door was uneven so towards bottom of door didn’t look like it was closed right. Pool wasn’t open due to dust storm, wasn’t a storm when we were there, just some dirt in bottom of pool they could easily have cleaned out.

Parking could be better

Pet friendly no extra fee, the hotel area itself is nice and quiet, but it's right next to the freeway which is pretty loud at night when trying to sleep. All the employees were nice.The only down side is there is no grass area only a small area of rocks for our dog.

Property is ok. Pool needs regular maintenance and more frequent cleaning.

Loads of stores and restaurants nearby and easy access to the freeway. The employees there are nice, can bring my dog at no extra cost and for a motel 6 was quiet on the property on a Friday night. The only negative is that you can hear the train at night.

The hotel is close to the freeway on/off ramp. There is plenty of parking available. The parking lot, building and room were all clean. There room has air conditioning, some toiletries, and a mini fridge. The whole staff was super friendly. Will definitely book again.

The pool wasn't too clean and the dust storm during the night blew a lot of sand under the door into the room

The room had roaches and uncleaned bathroom....

Went to check in at 3pm for our two night stay only to be told that our room wouldn’t be ready for another 40 minutes. Was not thrilled about that as we had dinner reservations for 5pm and wanted to freshen up. The room was a handicapped room despite the fact that I specially requested a regular room. My only request was a room on the ground floor close handicapped parking. The room was inconvenient in that there was no place to put our stuff. Would have been fine for a person in a wheelchair but the bathroom had zero spaces to place our toiletries. And let me mention that the toilet irritatingly and loudly filled itself every few minutes. What a waste of water! The lighting was extremely dim and it was difficult to see what we were doing. The bed was lumpy and not comfort at all, however the bedding did smell fresh. The bathtub/shower was awful! Filled with other people’s hair and had obviously not been cleaned out! The towels might as well have been sandpaper…that’s how rough they were! My husband refused to take a shower and said I’ll shower when we get home! We left a day early! The room did have a small refrigerator but as usual for a Motel 6, bring your own amenities including Kleenex. The neighborhood was fine and the location was convenient to the places we wanted to go to but all in all, as I said, we left a day early and we’ll pass on Motel 6 in the future.

Rooms were clean

The restroom was dirty. The towels that we were given were also dirty. There was no blow dryer. We stayed 2 days and no room service. No clean towels and no toilet paper.

Room was spotless and property is well maintained. The front desk was great, quick and efficient.

Parking was limited we didn’t have a parking when we arrived , the room was dirty when we checked in. Our towel was dirty our pillow had makeup stains the floor was sticky like it hasn’t been cleaned.

The room appeared clean and the shower worked ok. Just needed a place to rest. The in keeper was pleasant and professional.

There was a lot wrong but the worst was the bathroom. Above the shower the ceiling was bubbled and moldy. I opted to skip a shower because it was so gross. Then, in the middle of the night we woke up to water. Apparently, when the people upstairs shower all their water comes down into ours. We called the front desk and they said there is no maintenance but come in the morning a the room would be comped. We were kept up until the water stopped dripping. In the morning I told the ladies at the front. They said they would ask their manager an call me later. I received a call this afternoon that they would refund 25% of what I paid. Definitely unacceptable.

The mattress was in need of replacement. It had lumps and bumps the side had a dip the size of my body and the middle was really hard. Other than that it was a good stay.

Stayed here for a concert nearby and for the price, it was just what we needed. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but it did it's job. Check-in was easy and the location was near food and gas. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The hotel was close to our concert venue . Wifi didn’t work the entire time we were there and as we were out of country, we rely on it . Bed was comfy , pillows were awful

It was a Motel 6 🤔 Very good Location. The biggest problem with this property is the Freeway Noise. It is so loud, and the property has literally no sound proofing. Other then that, staff are friendly and helpful. This is literally the cheapest place to stay in the desert at this price point. The room was clean, the bed was hard and pillows, harder 😀 Got ok sleep. Again, it is a Hotel 6.

Just an overnight stop in Palm Desert. It is close to the freeway so you get some freeway noise but overall very good place to stay.

Room was clean and looked like it was recently renovated, clean curtains, clean floor (no carpet). A little expensive for a Motel 6, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with it and would stay there again.

strange noises from outside can’t go to sleep, mattress is poor quality, Wi-Fi good only near the office , fan in bathroom is noisy need to be replaced, I know it’s low cost but customer will not come back again

The door would not fully close, the toilet did not flush, the TV has 30inputs but no way to switch to any of them and the bed was rock hard.

Great place for a quick stay. In and out quickly. Friendly fast service. Room was nicely renovated!

Check in lady was super nice! The gentleman after was lazy and rude. I asked for one extra pillow and he said he didn’t have one. He told me to flag down room service and ask for one. I told him no, to call them and have them bring me one. That was the most ridiculous thing ever!! The room was decently clean. Water in the shower kept running, hair glob in the drain, AC made a horrible noise all day/night, and the sink had a foul smell from it. Also little wanna be couch was dirty and tv barely had signal. I’ll spend the extra money next time and never stay at a Motel 6 again.

I called the night before I checked in to request a certain room number. The front desk agent was busy with guests but apologized about the hold time and allowed me to reserve the room number that I desired. The 1night stay was comfortable and clean.

Using Expedia for this location was difficult, manager had to approve. This made check over 45 mins. The young lady that helped was awesome at her job.

This was actually the second time I came to this hotel specifically because the customer service was so great the first time. This visit was a different person at the desk but still just as awesome both times.

Made reservations 2 months ahead and at arrival they told me room was not ready!!!!!

The check in desk woman was nice. It was my second time this year at this fine hotel . The room pricing is really reasonable for it’s location

Veronica at the front desk was more than accommodating..I appreciate her good sense of humor, her ability to be personable and understanding even in times that were not easy to comprehend. She never tried to avoid an issue, she took each one on full force and did it professionally. She is awesome. That's a hard to find employee right there.

The parking area was okay, it’s well lit but the around it is a fast food and cannabis dispensary so do the math. The room temp was cold as the AC is working. Little to no amenities considering this is a budget hotel. The staff are all very nice and friendly. They let me check in a bit early after I asked if it’s okay. I stayed here cause of Paul McCartney Got Back 2025 Tour.

Very nice staff do anything to assist but bad area drug addicts gang members etc. not the best place to stay if you have a child but if you are by yourself and want a cheap hotel this is your spot. It’s not that bad just not that good. Pay peanuts get monkeys.

This was super convenient to the Accrisure Arena. Nothing to complain about except the other guests , which is about what I'd expect. The room was clean and spartan , and I was glad for the refrigerator. The TV was a pleasant surprise , it's set up with all the plugs in the front , but I didn't bring my HDMI cord to test it out. You can get coffee in the lobby. Thumbs up!

Worst hotel experience ever for me and my 10 year old daughter. There was yelling and door slamming all night - peaking around 3:00AM with a woman yelling. Then about 5AM there were 4 **GUNSHOTS** right outside the hotel. We had to hit the floor in the middle of the night!! We left the hotel within 5 minutes and 7 police cars showed up. We will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 AGAIN!

Overall cleanliness was better than some of the higher end hotels I’ve stayed in. Most of the issues were minor cosmetic issues. The only thing I had a problem with was the noise—trains, planes and automobiles on the nearby freeway and a few inconsiderate neighbors, oh and the drive-thru next door made some night’s difficult to stay asleep. For the price, convenient location and overall niceness of the motel, it’s something you can get past.

Lots of homeless people on property Police presence. Loud tenants. Barking dogs Sketchy neighborhood Worried my car would be stolen

We weren't told of the wi-fi, but we found it. The sink was weird; we couldn't figure out hour to close the plug to fill the basin. They have laminate flooring in the shower and bathroom and sink area they maybe shouldn't have laminate flooring. The beds were comfortable, and a/c worked great! Interesting that they had OANN, Fox News, Newsmax, and even Spanish CNN but not MSNBC. The HBO channels were having reception and buffering issues that may not have been Motel 6 problems. No kleenex, but they had toilet paper. The refrigerator worked great and nice sized! Attentive morning staff and never allowed the coffee to run out for long. I had modest expectations and they were all met. Excellent distance to the Acrisure Arena, but unfortunately not to a sit-down diner for a meal nearby. Would recommend if the Comfort Inn next door is sold out again.

Location was good I didn’t like the cleanliness and no deli snack bar available.

This is not quiet. The hi way is near. But it was a good hotel. 24 hour Del taco is next door. & the hotel was clean.

I didn’t know Motel 6 doesn’t provide small things like shampoo. The shower had a hand held hose but it was so powerful it came off the holder when i tried to place it back again that it sprayed all over the floor. A small community microwave. No coffee pot in the room. The main light in the room didn’t work. I told them about it but it didn't get fixed before I left. The front office could have greeted me with Happy Holidays. Housekeeping ASKED before coming in the door and also asked if I needed anything else. I guess I could have asked for shampoo! But it was less expensive than anywhere else.
