For a VERY inexpensive, short stay, this hotel works. The towels are bare thread, with holes; the carpets are in dire need of cleaning, even just a good vacuum; the family that runs the hotel obviously live there and cook very odiferous foods; the front doors are not ADA compliant (don't know how they get around that little law). The "free" breakfast consists of cereal, orange juice and coffee. No refrigerator or microwave in room; there is a community microwave in the lobby. In Louisiana, you need ice, the ice machines were inoperable. The location is close to fast food dining and walkable to downtown Ponchatoula (only good points)

The room was dirty. Sticky residue running down the door. Drawers had dust and grime. Carpets had dust and debris. The morning we left I noticed a few bumps on my forehead, but didn’t think much about it. I ended up with clusters of red itchy bumps all over my arms, legs, face and neck. It looks to be bedbug bites. The only working ice machine was disgusting. It isn’t worth even the low price we paid. The pictures online must have been when the facility was brand new. I don’t see how it can pass health inspections.

I did not like this hotel at all it was hot in the hallways and in the room. We had to turn on the a/c when we got in the room and had to leave and let the room cool off. We just wanted to relax after our 12 hour drive. The window looked disgusting and there was trash on the floor. For what we paid i just expected it to be out of date , not dirty and out of date. And the pool was warm not cool so it wasnt even worth it. We asked to be moved to a down stairs room because it was cooler on main floor hallways and was told no that they were all booked but there was hardly any vehicle in parking lot the entire stay. If we would have had the money i would have demanded my money back and gone somewhere else.

The toilet would take forever to flush. The shower head shot water out so forcefully it almost hurt. The hotel shows to have laundry on site, but it was out of service. We were there for a baseball tournament so laundry on site was much needed. Breakfast was limited and horrible. Toast, bland cereal, and oatmeal is all that was offered. The exit/enter doors were not locked and did not need hotel key for access. There were people that appeared to be living outside the hotel and had access to the hallways at all times. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. We will definitely not be returning. The one time I dealt with staff, at check in, was pleasant and she was nice.

We checked into this hotel and checked out less than 2 hours later, after a room change. Walls filthy, beds with cigarette/burn holes, roaches, food or something on the carpet in room, bad smells in room/hall/elevator, people camped on back porch drinking and smoking, AC’s poorly functioning, windows in room so dirty that you could not see through them, mystery stains on soft cushions, hand smudges on mirrors in “clean” room, rusty fixtures, and more. I was traveling alone with my underage son, and the conditions of this hotel were so bad that I did not even ask for a refund, but just needed to get myself and my son out of that hotel before dark. The state of this hotel is not consistent with the Wyndham name. Suggest on site corporate visit. General travelers passing through this area should stay away from this hotel, I do not believe that we are the target audience.

This place is a mess. They claim the first floor is under renovation, but looked more like it was being used for long term housing with many of the rooms being used. There is a pervasive smell of acetone throughout the hotel, and none of the exterior doors locked. Vending machines were not stocked, and the looks of the breakfast did not make the mouth water

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel was filthy and smelled. I bought Clorox wipes and air freshener to clean after they came to clean again. Glass headboard had handprints on it, everything was dusty, faucets had water stains and toothpaste on them, feces on bathroom tile, mold on bottom of window, missing light in bathroom and all rusty. Pool closed for the season, workout area also closed. Breakfast was coffee, toast, cereal. Manager yelled at me because I told him I just wanted a clean room. Other customers at front desk complaining about towels being filthy. Back door card reader was broken so they kept a rock in door all night. My door jiggled and the sliding lock had to be taped closed. This seemed a safety issue also.

Evidently this hotel was bought and is now a locally owned property because the previous positive reviews are definitely not talking about the same hotel. We rented two rooms for 7 people- each with two beds. When we arrived, we were given a room with a single bed. We showed the hotel clerk our reservation- there were only 14 rooms reserved in the whole hotel that night (a staff member told us) but he refused to change the room and said that he had to refund our booking and charge us extra for a different room. Fine. We paid $9 additional and got the second bed. However, in the other room there were only sheets on one bed. HE REFUSED TO GIVE US SHEETS FOR THE OTHER BED. He said he was unauthorized to do so and that we could be refunded and go to a different hotel. We would have, but it was 11:00 at night and our kids were already in pajamas. My husband had to argue with him for half an hour and finally we found the girl we previously talked to and she got us sheets. They both lived in the hotel. It was dirty, the breakfast was not good, the vending machines were full of expired food, and they did not have air conditioners on. It was 85 degrees in our room and didn’t cool down until about 3:00am. When we left, we saw the postal carrier and told her to never stay in that hotel. She said “Oh gosh, the only people who stay in this hotel are drug addicts and prostitutes. I would never.” There’s more I could say, but hopefully this is enough to convince you to NEVER stay here.

The room toilet had brown stain and bathroom was not very clean they have dirty towels the room had roaches the bedding was dirty the stairway had a dirty pad which sat in that stairway for 3 days I had to purchase my own towels and bedding the pictures listed and the actual room are far from each other trash cans outside over flowing had to get in contact with the front desk in person and by phone we only stayed because we really was in in the room a few hours each day I will never ever stay at this place again it should be closed down

Black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The tub, toilet and sink were dirty. Uncomfortable mattress. We were exhausted and didn’t see these things until morning. Worst Microtel ever!

Stayed in April 2025. Owners must live there because there were vehicles on blocks and a green Rolls Royce in the covered drop off. Room was dirty. Everything was dirty and had stains. I found 4 hairs on the sink and night stand in the first 2 minutes. Seats have stains. Toilet ran all night and it all smelled wet. Worst thing was there was a gap in out door that I could stick my pinky finger in so we heard everyone in the hall all night. Horrible.

Needs overall maintenance. The smoke alarm was dangling from the ceiling. Our room did not get thoroughly cleaned and looked like they put us in a room that had not been used. The chair was broken and the TV didn’t connect with the remote.

When I walked into the room there was a strong Oder. Come to find out there was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. I asked for another room. The manager gave me another room. The TV did not work in the second room from the hotel. I did not ask for assistance on the tv cause there was no one at the front desk. I am really not happy with this overall stay. I will not stay here again.

I’m sorry but the rooms are very outdated, I thought I was getting good quality but when I got there all the walls was nasty, the desk was falling apart and the room had a mildew smell with no carpet in it. The lady and man was so nice but she said the smell must was from cleaning the carpet I said there is no carpet in my room. So she moved me to another room and it was a little better but still out dated. They need an upgrade on them.

Toilet was loose at the floor and leaking water. We saw a roach, the bar lock for the door lock was broke, the air conditioner wasn't on when we first arrived so it was hot and I had to buy some air freshener because there was a nasty odor. Won't stay here again

My room key stopped working twice. Front desk lady was in a room with a man having sec instead of being at the front desk. RATS. broken air. Wardrobe door fell and hit my man in the head. All around HORRIBLE place to stay.

1 week before check-in I was notified to change booking days, with no accommodation I lost a day by checking out one day early. This hotel with a week notice didnt want to reimburse me 1 week in advance. Then I check in to inspect room with these issues- bath floors debri filth tub with hair and dust debri shower head corroded sink rust around corking bed sunk in the middle and foot of the bed bad order leaking from HVAC unit I did the dust test in the room dust felt and seen on picture's TV mirrors etc refridge close to right side of bed so you have to get in bed on right side rooms very small poorly accommodated for comfort overly priced. This want allow me to upload pictures smh also it waswarm outside and air wasnt sufficient I belive my neighbor was living next door of room 127 his room did not look like he was visiting which explains the smell and breakfast was left over bagels smh
