Woodland valley view room had a lovely view, the staff were very helpful and courteous, breakfast food was very good quality. Hotel's own vehicle picked us up from the airport and took us back. Couldn't really fault anything. Only minor niggle was that their website stated a fridge was in every room when in fact they were only in the top tier rooms and unfortunately they had no others to provide us. So their website needs updating, but it was no big issue.

Lovely place with great views, clean and tidy and good food options. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Few extra loungers/chairs round the pool but easily sorted.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fermain Valley hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We got a free upgrade from the Venue to the main hotel where our room had a balcony. The breakfast was really nice. We also got a free shuttle to and from the airport which was a nice touch.

A super stunning Hotel with a picturesque location. A beautiful retreat near to the town of St Peter port a shuttle service is available, Stunning views and good access to walking trails. Hotel is elegant without feeling stuffy, warm without being oppressive, welcoming without being kitschy, I felt that all the visitor touch points they got absolutely right. Room is very comfortable and well - appointed and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, Especially the level of service, the restaurant staff and reception team provided excellent service. The food is fantastic 5 stars, presentation and choice, breakfast is outstanding. The room was immaculately clean and had everything needed provided with plenty of amenities like still water with tea and coffee facilities, dressing gowns and toiletry’s had a very comfortable stay. Some of the highlights an indoor pool and a tree top spa, restaurants and the gardens are beautiful. Most definitely would highly recommend and would stay again.

Plenty of parking, park at the top of you're in the 'garden rooms'. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms comfy if a little small. Coastal restaurant good, disappointed that pizzas not being served which made veggie choices very limited. I had the salmon which was lovely but the sauce was very lemony, which wasn't described on the menu (just said butter sauce) so my son, who also had the salmon was not keen. Breakfasts were excellent, lots of choice. Swimming pool a bit on the small side but fun to play in.

Exceptional service from all staff, extremely friendly and accommodating. no ask was too big. Great recommendations for darks skies too. The hotel has 3 restaurants, and whilst we only got to try 2, the food was wonderful, breakfast had so many options. Rooms were clean, tidy and enough storage for everything (and we don't travel light). Just the entrance to the parking is a little tight - but you do get used to it. Arrived back home 3 days ago and already booked our next stay (and returning to Fermain in just under 3 weeks time). Cannot wait to return! And this time, we will get round to eating in the Rock Garden. :)

This place is in very quiet area and surrounded by lovely garden and about 10 minutes walk to the nearest Fermain beach. It had a few choices of adjacent restaurants but the choice is slightly limited unless you go to St Peter’s port town. The hotel staff are all lovely and friendly and accommodated to our needs. The breakfast choice was so great and plentiful, and delicious so we enjoyed it very much. There was a sauna and swimming pool which we could use until 8pm. The room we had had a balcony so it was a bit pricy option compared to not having no balcony but it was worth it although I was not pleased with the fact that when the balcony window was open in the morning, sometimes I could smell someone (possibly staff) was having a cigarette/ smoke outside just right down of our balcony at the end of the building side on the second floor. I do not like the smoke smell so this was the down side of the room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there over all.

In a quiet spot, out of town, but with good bus links to centre of St Peter Port. Very steep access, but less steep using 2nd floor door through garden to main road. Useful free shuttle available on certain days for town. Only complaint is that there needs to be more advance information about the dining facility. On arrival we were told that the kitchen was closed on certain days and that we had to walk to the co-owned nearby Mexican restaurant for evening meals.

Top class stay in May 23. 5 mins to the beach cafe. Perfect facilities. Lovey room. Had issue with broken phone and room services left door open, but rewarded with ice cold bottle of wine. Best hotel stay for years. Watch out for service charges included at the bar and restaurants not cheap

All staff were excellent. Hotel is spotless, complimentary shuttle bus is very good. Wish we had upgraded our room as it was a little hot with no views.

From arranged pick up from the airport to going home was faultless. The hotel was spotless in all areas. The staff were most helpful at all times, cheerful and willing to please. The breakfasts were well prepared and staff were very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Chris on reception was a master class. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and a great asset to the hotel. We ate in both restaurants. The Mexican themed one again well catered for with large portions of food. The staff were again willing to please. These were same staff seen in the breakfast areas. The steak hot stone restaurant I found to be a bit disappointing although staff again willing to please. On a personal note I would of preferred to have my steak cooked and then presented. My wife's fish was ok but the dish appeared confused especially she had two hot stones that never maintained their heat. Overall I would rate this hotel as one we would return to. The whole hotel outlook was excellent too especially from our room. Well done to all.

The room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beautiful terrace to sit out in. Food was amazing and all the staff so friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this hotel. Shuttle bus is available too which was great. Mainly the staff were brilliant

I cant fault the hotel for much, if anything. During our stay the heating didnt work and the windows rattled and let in cold air when the wind was strong. The hotel was immaculate and the service and food were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was excellent in many regards, and all staff that we had dealings with were exceptional. Food and service in the restaurants were of a particularly high standard, although we were surprised at how quiet the main restaurant was in the evenings. Room service and cleanliness was very good. We would have given this hotel a 5* review but unfortunately the room price was far too high for the size of room and facilities that were provided. The room was quite small in size, did not have air conditioning, nor the mini fridge that was listed on the room details page on the website. The other annoying feature is the fact that the website lists inaccurate restaurant wine lists prices, for example for half bottles of wines that the hotel says it has never sold.

This is a great place; we loved the service, food, etc. One thing, make sure that if you book a Platinum room in the summer, you get one with a balcony! We got one without, so we didn't really feel the "Platinum"

Never book a room for the UPPER GARDEN area. We expected Garden views but instead had the main road with its traffic and pub to one side and the parking lot and industrial garbage bins on the other. JUST WHAT YOU EXPECT for luxury. We just loved the loud tavern music in the night, cars and motorcycles roaring past and the best bit - the garbage collection at 5am that woke us up to the dulcet tones of shattering glass. Just lovely. Oh the windows has scat on them and required me standing on a chair to get a puff of breeze in that airless place. Never book a room for the UPPER GARDEN area. We expected Garden views but instead had the main road with its traffic and pub to one side and the parking lot and industrial garbage bins on the other. JUST WHAT YOU EXPECT for luxury. We just loved the loud tavern music in the night, cars and motorcycles roaring past and the best bit - the garbage collection at 5am that woke us up to the dulcet tones of shattering glass. Just lovely. Oh the windows has scat on them and required me standing on a chair to get a puff of breeze in that airless place. Have stayed at Fermain Valley before, and was happy to return. The hotel itself is nicely situated, very clean, comfortable rooms, and the staff are generally ok. However it is beyond ridiculous to pay for a "Gold" room, and for it not to have air conditioning. My stay was on one of the warmest weekends of the year, and was therefore very uncomfortable. The room had a balcony and windows, so why not just open them up? - well, the room was 8 feet above the outside restaurant, so obviously that was noisy - to the point of listening to conversations. Not helped by the constant music from the bar, and the bar staff seemingly constantly dragging furniture around trying to look busy didn\'t help. On a more positive note, the beds and linens were super comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Nicely landscaped and easy parking.

Plenty of parking, park at the top of you're in the 'garden rooms'. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms comfy if a little small. Coastal restaurant good, disappointed that pizzas not being served which made veggie choices very limited. I had the salmon which was lovely but the sauce was very lemony, which wasn't described on the menu (just said butter sauce) so my son, who also had the salmon was not keen. Breakfasts were excellent, lots of choice. Swimming pool a bit on the small side but fun to play in.

This place is in very quiet area and surrounded by lovely garden and about 10 minutes walk to the nearest Fermain beach. It had a few choices of adjacent restaurants but the choice is slightly limited unless you go to St Peter’s port town. The hotel staff are all lovely and friendly and accommodated to our needs. The breakfast choice was so great and plentiful, and delicious so we enjoyed it very much. There was a sauna and swimming pool which we could use until 8pm. The room we had had a balcony so it was a bit pricy option compared to not having no balcony but it was worth it although I was not pleased with the fact that when the balcony window was open in the morning, sometimes I could smell someone (possibly staff) was having a cigarette/ smoke outside just right down of our balcony at the end of the building side on the second floor. Lovely hotel with exceptional staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and very clean. Lovely beach at bottom of hill, with a great cafe. Worth the walk back up.

This hotel was excellent in many regards, and all staff that we had dealings with were exceptional. Food and service in the restaurants were of a particularly high standard, although we were surprised at how quiet the main restaurant was in the evenings. Room service and cleanliness was very good. We would have given this hotel a 5* review but unfortunately the room price was far too high for the size of room and facilities that were provided. The room was quite small in size, did not have air conditioning, nor the mini fridge that was listed on the room details page on the website. The other annoying feature is the fact that the website lists inaccurate restaurant wine lists prices, for example for half bottles of wines that the hotel says it has never sold.

From arranged pick up from the airport to going home was faultless. The hotel was spotless in all areas. The staff were most helpful at all times, cheerful and willing to please. The breakfasts were well prepared and staff were very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Chris on reception was a master class. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and a great asset to the hotel. We ate in both restaurants. The Mexican themed one again well catered for with large portions of food. The staff were again willing to please. These were same staff seen in the breakfast areas. The steak hot stone restaurant I found to be a bit disappointing although staff again willing to please. On a personal note I would of preferred to have my steak cooked and then presented. My wife's fish was ok but the dish appeared confused especially she had two hot stones that never maintained their heat. Overall I would rate this hotel as one we would return to. The whole hotel outlook was excellent too especially from our room. Well done to all.

It's conveniently located for St. Peter Port, either to walk the cliff path or use local buses. I have coeliac disease and the care taken with making sure I had gluten free food was very good, I really appreciate this. We enjoyed the Mexican restaurant which is open Tuesday to Saturday. There are three restaurants in all; two open each day. Breakfasts were exceptional; lots of choice and freshly prepared.

Fabulous hotel where you feel the staff truly care about the guests. Nothing was too much trouble, very friendly! Hotel is very comfortable, and feels relaxed. Feel like I could stay there alone and feel comfortable. Loved it and will be back!

The room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beautiful terrace to sit out in. Food was amazing and all the staff so friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this hotel. Shuttle bus is available too which was great. Mainly the staff were brilliant

We loved our stay, the staff were exceptionally helpful and inviting. The hotel was in a great position with a lovely view and both restaurants served up great food. We will definitely be recommending the Fermain Valley.

In a quiet spot, out of town, but with good bus links to centre of St Peter Port. Very steep access, but less steep using 2nd floor door through garden to main road. Useful free shuttle available on certain days for town. Only complaint is that there needs to be more advance information about the dining facility. On arrival we were told that the kitchen was closed on certain days and that we had to walk to the co-owned nearby Mexican restaurant for evening meals.

The hotel is well situated on the bus routes for easy travel to all parts of Guernsey. The beach along with an excellent cafe is about 400 yards from the hotel either by a path through the hotel garden or a public road just outside the hotel The hotel rooms are excellent with varied views depending on the type of room delected Food is very good and the included breakfasts are excellent

Room is very comfortable and well - appointed and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, Especially the level of service, the restaurant staff and reception team provided excellent service. The food is fantastic 5 stars, presentation and choice, breakfast is outstanding. The room was immaculately clean and had everything needed provided with plenty of amenities like still water with tea and coffee facilities, dressing gowns and toiletry’s had a very comfortable stay. Some of the highlights an indoor pool and a tree top spa, restaurants and the gardens are beautiful. Most definitely would highly recommend and would stay again.

Plenty of parking, park at the top of you're in the 'garden rooms'. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms comfy if a little small. Coastal restaurant good, disappointed that pizzas not being served which made veggie choices very limited. I had the salmon which was lovely but the sauce was very lemony, which wasn't described on the menu (just said butter sauce) so my son, who also had the salmon was not keen. Breakfasts were excellent, lots of choice. Swimming pool a bit on the small side but fun to play in.

All the staff were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The service was great too. The hotel is in a gorgeous quiet spot surrounded by trees with beautiful gardens. It's conveniently located for St. Peter Port, either to walk the cliff path or use local buses. I have coeliac disease and the care taken with making sure I had gluten free food was very good, I really appreciate this. We enjoyed the Mexican restaurant which is open Tuesday to Saturday. There are three restaurants in all; two open each day. Breakfasts were exceptional; lots of choice and freshly prepared.

We loved our stay, the staff were exceptionally helpful and inviting. The hotel was in a great position with a lovely view and both restaurants served up great food. We will definitely be recommending the Fermain Valley.

This hotel was excellent in many regards, and all staff that we had dealings with were exceptional. Food and service in the restaurants were of a particularly high standard, although we were surprised at how quiet the main restaurant was in the evenings. Room service and cleanliness was very good. We would have given this hotel a 5* review but unfortunately the room price was far too high for the size of room and facilities that were provided. The room was quite small in size, did not have air conditioning, nor the mini fridge that was listed on the room details page on the website. The other annoying feature is the fact that the website lists inaccurate restaurant wine lists prices, for example for half bottles of wines that the hotel says it has never sold.

Nous avons été surpris d’apprendre que la piscine n’était pas en service. D’autres part, nos chambres étaient juste au dessus du restaurant et nous avons subi les fortes odeurs de friture par la vmc de la salle d’eau. À part cela, l’hôtel est très agréable et bien situé.

Fantastic breakfast choices, staff very helpful. Lovely room, stayed in Tree House which was a delight. Only downside - poor lighting in Tree House and decking needed sweeping and a clean around the lights outside.

The staff at Fermain were all so friendly, helpful and polite. They provided outstanding service. The breakfast had wonderful cooked options. For those preferring a continental option the choice was adequate but not extensive. The room in the venue building was large with a sea view and separate seating area. The bathroom was spacious and newly refurbished.

Lovely views & garden. Steep but short walk to bay down the road where can swim & a nice cafe. Easy bus ride into town if you don’t have a car. Breakfast very good. Pool seen better days but ok for some laps. The staff are all amazing from the waiters to the spa staff - massive shout out to all of them - they all made out stay! Also near the coastal path to walk into town so we loved the location

Fantastic spacious room, excellent choices for breakfast and evening meals, staff all very friendly and helpful especially Rachel from the spa giving us a lift to the beach, cliff top walk to St Peter Port was a hike up and down and took 2.5 hours but the scenery was amazing, just take water and sensible shoes. Bus service on the island was on a timetable of its own choice but comfortable buses when they came , would definitely go back .
