Quality Inn Lancaster

Property is old and needs updating and upkeeping.

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like was there was not enough parking available.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The interior of the room is slightly dated but comfortable. The exterior and parking area were very clean and well lit.

The property was close to the nursing home where my mom lives. So, location was good. However, it is an old facility that needs some upgrades.

There is NO pool. It was cemented. Stayed here because of the grands live in Lancaster and it was disappointing for us all. Nice exercise room with treadmill and ellipticals. Clean room and quiet area. Restaurants within walking distance.

DIDN'T LIKE: FRONT DESK: An unfriendly, older lady greeted us BREAKFAST OPTIONS: 2 cereals options: -cheerios and corn flakes 1 fruit: -banana -watered down juices AND waffle batter...THAT'S IT!!!!!!😡😡😡😡 THE ROOM: Overly hard bed and UNCOMFORTABLE TINY, child size pillows PARKING LOT VERY cracked pavement in the parking lot that almost made me break my ankle. POSITIVE: You can control the AC/heat.

The room condition was sub par and it was still in the process of being updated.

Maybe undergoing reno??? No lid on toilet, no towel bars in bathroom, no hand bars for assistance in shower, no comfortable seating options. Pool has been filled in due to "safety hazards". Bed was comfortable and linens were clean.

It’s true when they say you get what you pay for here. You can tell they have tried to revive an old property, but it needs more than paint

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others. I booked a room at the Quality Inn expecting at least basic cleanliness and comfort — what I got was a complete disaster. From the moment I walked in, the property looked run-down and poorly maintained. The front desk staff seemed disinterested and rushed through check-in without any real greeting or assistance. When I got to my room, things went from bad to worse: the room smelled musty and stale, the bedding looked unwashed, and there were visible stains on the carpet and furniture. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition — dirty toilet, hair in the sink, and questionable grime in the shower. I didn’t feel safe, comfortable, or even clean in that room. After trying (and failing) to speak with staff about my concerns, I made the decision to leave immediately and booked a room at an IHG hotel in Richburg just down the road. The difference was night and day — clean, modern, welcoming, and everything the Quality Inn should have been. Save yourself the headache and skip this place. Not worth the money, the frustration, or the stress.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like smoke. There was a fair a fair amount of hair in the bathtub. I found a dirty spoon with food residue that was on a high self. One of the clean towels had been placed on top of the spoon. (The shelf was high. The spoon was probably hard to see) The floor was sticky. The staff was very friendly. The rooms had a good design. I would be willing to stay there again.

I will start that the staff was helpful in allowing us to check in early. But the room had an odor, there were bugs on the windowsill and just one trip across the floor in socks left my husband's feet really dirty. The "pillows" were not traditional bed pillows, but rather HALF pillows. When we asked for more, there were none. Did not sleep. The only saving grace for this establishment was that it was convenient to our destination.

Although the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the overall condition of the hotel was extremely disappointing. Our first room had visible roaches, dirty linens, a refrigerator with spoiled food still inside, and a stained chair — it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected. We were moved to another room, but it had a strong mildew smell, which made it hard to relax. While the customer service was appreciated, the housekeeping team really needs to pay closer attention to detail.

The bathroom was not clean there were dead bugs on the floor. We ask for a bottom floor because we were traveling with a disabled person. The lady running the front desk did not no know what she was doing she asked my name like 10 times everytime she had to enter something in the computer. It took us forever to get checked in, there was a line behind us due to here being so slow and having to call people to know what to do when she was doing a simple check in. Checking out was great because it was a different people and she was super sweet!

This place is so bad we checked out after being there for just 5 hours. The room immediately smelled of cigarette smoke upon entry, there were cigarette ashes on the lamp beside the bed, stains on the chair, curtains and walls, there was a splatter that was either red wine or blood on the wall near restroom, the AC squeaked constantly, and there were several bugs in the room due to a crack in the door that you could see through to the outside. The staff, at the front desk seemed to be unbothered and didn't care about my complaints either. She was courteous but not warm or pleasant. No receipt was offered for my checkout. I can only hope I won't be charged for something additional. Totally wish I could get a refund but I'm aware that's a slim slim chance. I will never stay here again or perhaps any other hotel owned by this company. Don't waste your money.

Our room was only cleaned one day. We had full thrash cans and no towels. There was roaches in the room.

The room was nice, spacious, and clean. However, the breakfast was lacking. Orange juice was nasty. Had to call front office from my cell phone because the phone in the room did not work. Had to ask for a replacement iron because the one in the room was broken. Not bad for what we needed, but could have been better.

We've stayed here before, but this time we were rather disappointed. Room smelled awful, heat was turned up so high you could barely breathe. Was late when we arrived and we were not in a handicapped room as requested. Had to wait to be moved. It was after midnight and we just stayed anyway. Have one more trip booked there since there isn't much choice in this town. If it isn't better next weekend, we'll just stay in another town next time.

We had to get up during the night and open the door just to let some of the stifling air out. It was so hot it was hard to breathe. Also, the toilet rocked like a rocking chair. Her response was, "Yeah, okay." She clearly had no intention of telling anyone in maintenance about it. Lancaster doesn't have much choice in hotels, but I'm tempted to forego the convenience of being close in order to be able to rest. Fort Lawn, Monroe, and Rock Hill aren't that far away. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were like rocks. We were deeply disappointed.

Room was okay. It was clean and the shower had good pressure. Room opens to parking lot and it was noisy with other guests and cars. Neighbouring guest was out front smoking weed all the time and it kept wafting into our room through large gaps in our door. Very small pillows were not comfortable. Also had to unplug the bar fridge as it made a loud humming noise.

We stayed in this hotel approximately 14 years ago while in Lancaster for a funeral. The same is applicable for this stay. We did notice that they have updated since our last stay - vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet is always a plus. It also appears that the furniture has been replaced. However, the heat/ac is terribly noisy and the pillows are atrocious!!!!

Stayed one night for a business trip. Construction workers had a parking lot party, cooking out in the backs of their trucks, and playing loud music until midnight. I called the front desk at 10:15 and asked them to please stop the noise and it just got louder after I complained. I called a second time at 11pm and the front desk walked outside with the phone in hand and yelled “the girl upstairs says you’re being too loud.” Needless to say, no one cared and I got no sleep. The hotel is really a motel and it’s just a place to lay your head for the night. Dont expect a good nights rest. Coffee maker and blow dryer don’t work either.

Fridge didn’t work and smelled moldy. Chair in hotel had stains all over it. Cable TV didn’t work at all, bad reception. Shower handle wasn’t tight. Toilet got clogged. Wasn’t replenished with new towels. Looks better on Expedia than it really is. Disappointing and won’t stay here again. Too expensive for the low quality.

everything was fine. The bed was cozy. the only complaint I have is there was a lot of noise outside the hotel I think a bunch of workers were all staying there and got together plus it was New Year's Eve.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. In my room, the curtains were pulled off the wall on one end and would not close. The floors were hard laminate. This is an upgrade from my last stay here a few years ago. This is one of the only hotels in the area. And it appears to be almost full every night. But it is not "Quality".

The lady running the front desk did not no know what she was doing she asked my name like 10 times everytime she had to enter something in the computer. Our stay was very nice. We needed an accessible room and the bathroom was very large and good to get around in. We wished that the breakfast was available until 10:00.

I stayed at the hotel last year with no issues, but this time was different. The bathroom had no roller for the toilet paper and was paced on the back of the toilet. There was no toilet seat cover or towel bar for me to place my towel while in the shower, or after to dry it off, as the back of the toilet had the rolls of toilet paper on it. The free hot breakfast this year was very sad compared to last year. This trip the only option I had was a waffle and cereal. I remember having a larger choice last year and the juice machine had not juice and the overflow drain was overflowing as guests were pouring the cups of water into it as there was not other option. All in all I will probably choose another establishment on my next trip in the area
