Motel 6 – Lakewood, CO

All staff was nice and accommodating I had a few earlier check inns that was nice I have a big family and they love our cat hotel was pet friendly big plus. despite the area and the problems with this epidemic this staff has it under control.

At check-in I was informed that the danishes did not get delivered today so the “breakfast” tomorrow will consist of just coffee. The parking is cramped, the room had no way to control the heat, A/C or even the fan. There was no thermostat and the toilet was not anchored to the floor. Oh yes, and the sheets were not soft at all. Felt like they’d been washed in Clorox and dried in the Sun (a very exfoliating experience to say the least. Other than that it was fine.

The front desk staff was really friendly and welcoming. The shower curtain looked a bit dirty, we didn't feel comfortable to shower I there. There were people (guest from other rooms) gather in the side walk smoking and drinking which make me feel unsafe as I was staying with my kids and the pool was out of service.

Property is in rough shape. We went to take a shower and realized we didn’t have towels in our room. Call front desk to get towels and was told that housekeeping does not come until 9 am so we would have to go without towels until then. Pool was closed despite being advertised as having a pool. Front desk acted like she hated being there. Beds were comfortable.

Not easy to get in and out of due to median in the middle of the street.

The walls were super thin so could hear my neighbors. Also the parking lot was super small and could barely park or drive through. The room didn’t have a good clean feeling. The bed had like 5 sheets with no comforter. I was excited for the shower but then got disappointed using the shower. Didn’t have a very family friendly atmosphere. Felt a bit scary to stay there with my child.

The pool is not in service. The staff is awesome. Right next to a Walmart and lots of restaurants.

Avoid at all costs. Worst motel I've ever been to. The motel is run down. There were no towels or plastic cups. Paint spattered on the floor and on the walls on the bathroom. The beds are extremely small and the sheets are itchy. Their pool was out of water and shouldn't be even listed as amenity, misleading. Neighbors noisy. Internet went out four times and was extremely slow. Motel was way overpriced for what you get. It's so bad it should lose its motel 6 qualification or be subject to Motel 6 inspections to be a franchise.

Corri was wonderful! She made up for the fact the pool and the cable weren’t working.

The room was dirty no toilet paper and they were out of clean towels . There was mold in the bathroom.

Please DO NOT stay here. This hotel was nasty. Smells, cleanliness is non-existent, just awful. When we checked in, the room hadn't even been cleaned, so they did give us a new one but it still left much to be desired. I made a huge mistake with this booking because I didn't read the reviews beforehand and I only picked by looking at their posted pictures of the room. Very misleading! Never again.

It’s wasn’t the cleanest place, bed was fine but bathroom was missing the exhaust cover exposing all the dust in the fan, shower curtain missing hooks, shower floor dirty.. random stains on walls. The sink counter top was on an angle like falling off the wall.. it’s was quite sketchy wouldn’t recommend for a solo trip.. I asked for extra towels a few times.. got nothing just the original bath towel a hand towel and a floor towel.. it was quite loud too.. between cars and random people talking loudly

The TV was nice and staff was friendly. The room itself had paint all over the floor, we were missing a lampshade, the room smelled like smoke, and I could go on. Not great quality.

We couldn't stay, as the shower had so much mold there is NO way i would get in it!! The walls had plaster repair bold & ugly. 2 wall sconces had no shades, & the only way to turn the light off was to unscrew the bulb. Nothing like the pics. They're going to remodle, good luck to them & God Bless!

Room smelled like a bottle of bleach exploded, flies in the room, burn marks in sheets, holes in bathroom walls, bathroom door hardly opened when closed, hole in window screen. The worst motel/hotel experience. So bad we had to leave and find another hotel.

The room smelled terrible. The bed had bug feces all on it.

the bed sheets were dirty with little specs of something and hair so I ended up leaving after finding several spots of hair in the bed of 2 different rooms they tried to put me in.

There were bed bugs in the room, cigarette burns on the bed..paraphernalia under the bed and the front desk was a night mare. Stay away we left and found another hotel immediately

The front desk staff (Tracy?) was amazing, but the property was definitely not what was described on Expedia. The room had limited amenities, the A/C didn't work properly, and there were dead bugs on the floor. They're transitioning to a Motel 6, so perhaps there will be upgrades.

Very noisy.

The service at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. The bed was old and creeky and very uncomfortable. There were no towels or trash can in the room. Brown streaks on the walls in some places and the door deadbolt did not work and you had to yank on the door just to get it open

Very basic, no microwave, have to upgrade to get a mini fridge. Old

Only one towel in the bathroom and we only got one from the front desk. The light outside bathroom was out. The light over the sink was out the next day. Light wasn’t bright and the faucet didn’t work in the shower stall. No lampshades in the lamps.

The Big Butt juice Stain on the bed sheets ..And The AC Did Not Wot Work..

The room was clean and comfortable. There were no amenaties that are expected normally, hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave. Through no fault of any employee there was a loud altercation in the parking lot one evening involving police and arrests. The stairs up were filthy, and were never cleaned the entire time I was there. However, the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

This must be one of the worst hotels in Colorado. One sheet on the bed. No blankets to be found. Powerful lights outside outside the room all night meant you can forget about sleeping in a dark room, even with the blinds closed. They advertised free wifi, but it was not working. There was no internet. The shower in the morning was warm for less than 30 seconds, then it quickly went cold before I even had time to rinse off comfortably. No coffee maker in the room, or any way to make a hot drink in the morning, just a couple of plastic cups wrapped in plastic. Certainly no microwave, no way to heat water, and no fridge.

The showers water pressure was low, found lighting was inadequate. Comfortable bed.

I enjoy staying here at the Motel 6 because the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful during my stay. They are patient and flexible and really work hard to assist with my accomodations which really means a lot to me while I navigate through this difficult time in my life. The manager Will is awesome and holds his staff to the highest expectations !! & It shows!! Thank you Will, Robert, Norma, & Josie !

Lady at front desk the older lady she was very rude said she did not like the way I book my reservation then said I didn’t have reservation and I did she was just unable to work with the people who I booked they said she did not want me to stay there and I am not from here so I don’t know why this women did not like me I ended up having to find a new room in the middle of the night and it’s was very stressful and overwhelming and I wish that on no one poor service poor customer care

My reservation was NOT HONORED no one helped....They were no help at the front desk. Wanted to charge me again for the room. Never saw a room.

Front Desk staff is always helpful and honestly just doing their job, they try and make things work with whatever your needs might be. I understand sometimes it gets frustrating getting told what you don't want to hear, but I do understand it's their job. Nevertheless Jovon, Norma, Rob and I want to say Ashley I'm probably wrong I hope she don't see this and hate me lol but they all are always so helpful so nice super friendly and have always shown nothing but great hospitality to me and my dog (Sparkplug) Thanks for being an awesome team!!!

I reservedca room for my son who's car got stolen, so he needed a place to stay for the night, when he got there Rob the guy at the front desk kept telling him there was no reservation even after my son gave him the reservation number. My son called me to let me know and while he was on the phone with me Rob was very rude telling him dont you understand there is no reservation! So after my son left and i checked my card of course the money was taken out, I called Rob at the front desk and he says oh it just came through 2 min ago. I do not recommend booking through this place simply because of customer service.

This is the next best thing to home for us. The staff are all amazing people, they have treated me, my husband, and our children like family. It may be a rough part of town but it just adds character. The manager that runs this place is so very professional and she runs a tight ship keeping us safe and feeling welcome. This motel will always be our first choice. If you have anything bad to say about this motel or the staff that runs it, then kick rocks!!!! 😄

Staff was super nice/helpful. I stayed two nights total so had interaction with a few of them and they all were wonderful. The area, however, is very sketch. Both nights, I had some odd run ins with people in the parking lot. There were lots of yelling and fighting from other rooms. Just a bad area lol but conveniently located and not a bad price.

Local police stopped us and advised us to leave as soon as possible because of high crime and drug use. Told me that there would be a very good chance that my car would not be there in the morning. He stayed with us until we gathered our things.

Great location, next to interstate and walmart. Both girls at the office are very nice and easy to communicate with. Quite and lots of parking

The rooms were gross and not very stocked. The people hanging around this motel were not family friendly seemed pretty dangerous with some very obvious drug activity. The staff seemed abused and were not happy to be there. Will definitely not come here again considering the cost isnt much cheaper then a regular hotel. Live and learn I guess.

Clean, good service, met all my needs. Except I do prefer a tub bath and there was only a shower, which is common at this chain. There was a busy street right nearby that made a lot of noise. That didn't bother me - I sleep through noise just fine - but I mention it because there are some that might be bothered and would want to know in advance.

We stopped by to see if they had any early check ins. The property seemed unsafe, there were a lot of sketchy people walking around it. We left and stayed at a different hotel. Wasted money for two nights there.

Booked the stay for 10 nights. Very first night neighbors came in at 11:45 and the music came on loud, followed by a man and woman arguing back and forth at 100 decibals. Got up, went downstairs to the office and changed rooms. A lot of sketchy characters hanging out here after dark. Many occupants obviously living in their room with families. Overall old facility and noise carries from room to room easily. If you're looking for peace and quiet to get some sleep this is not your place

The floor in my room was dirty, as well as the bathroom sink and toilet. The room smelled like a litter box and cigarette smoke. Housekeeping never came to offer services and when I asked if I could get clean towels I was told they were out of towels and that I should walk to Walmart and buy my own. I went without towels for two days. The front desk associates are very unprofessional and rude. There was one girl who was great but no employees have name tags on so I don\'t know any of their names. My "premium" room had a small coffee maker but I was told that they didn\'t have refills when I asked for more. The TV in my room was so dark/dim that I couldn\'t see the picture during the day, no way of correcting it also. The deadbolt on the door to my room was broken, and so I felt uneasy about that. The vending machine in the front lobby that had a variety of beverages was completely Sold Out the entire time I was there. Despite all of these inconveniencs, the most disappointing and absurd issue was the accusations from the front desk associates that I had unauthorized guests in my room and that there were noise complaints about me. It was a very uncomfortable and unsettling experience at this motel. I definitely had the worst time I have ever had at a motel. The property itself is in a very convenient location as for dinning options and light shopping. Too bad the staff was so unprofessional and inconsiderate towards the guests satisfaction. They need retraining to say the least.

The room smelled terrible. I tried using fan mode on the unit but that didn't help. You could see outside, there was a gap between the door and the floor. They wouldn't let me check in 30 minutes early because they were cleaning. I went to Walmart and came back. Not sure what they think is clean, but there were loads of grime in the corners that haven't been touched in quite some time. There was no comforter. They had a thin blanket with a stained up sheet over that. They advertised free coffee in the mornings. But had no creamer and no attempt at obtaining any. There were homeless people walking the street and the bagel shop next door. When I was in the office trying to get coffee someone was on the phone trying to get a refund. The employee said only managers can give refunds and because the manager has multiple properties they needed to try and call at 9am on Wednesdays. That was their only solution. I would be livid if I couldn't talk to a manager for a refund! That is not how business is done. My door lock only worked part of the time. I used the latch inside and a few door stoppers. I paid an extra $10 for the "nicer" room with a microwave and small fridge. Well you have to unplug the tv to use the microwave because there aren't enough outleets. The entire place seems like a cash grab. Owner does not care about the employees or customers.
