Good hotel, friendly staff, great food and bar. Just need a bot of attention to detail in the room. Hot water for shower is impossible to set, and ceiling fan didn't wirk in 30° heat. Otherwise a decent place

Hotel bar was nice. Stairs were difficult as someone partially sighted as not well lit. The beds were awful. Could feel the springs in the mattress so no one got a good nights sleep unfortunately. Shower was like a trickle. Was OK, but not worth £100 a night!!

We were looking for a characterful hotel in the middle of Melton Mowbray and that is what we got for a very reasonable tarif. Our rooms had recently been refurbished and although smallish were perfectly okay for our short stay. Easy free parking behind the hotel.
