Baymont Inn & Suites Richmond

I have only good things to say about my stay. I will choose this hotel next time I am in the area. It was clean, friendly, plenty of area to walk my dog, and easy access to everywhere I needed to go.

The hotel really needs to replace the ice machine on the first floor. It is SO LOUD and looks terrible!! Also, the hallway lighting needs to be redone. A dark, dimly lit hallway is bad for any hotel.

The hotel is great. Hospitality and staff great. Room bed very comfortable. The only problem was the detail cleanliness in rooms. The sink under the rim vedy dirty. In the bathtub same thing under the edge of tub very dirty. The microwave was very dirty with old caked on burnt food. The pillows were very comfy. Overall great but the detailed cleaning needs a lot of work. Work out room consisted of two machines and a set of free weights. Not really a workout room. Business center is a computer set up across from lobby desk with standup desk access only no private room. Free wifi. Cable was good but not able to connect streaming even with your own sign in. Tv should be equipped with hulu box and a way to sign in to your own streaming account. I had to bring my own coffee maker. The one supplied is a 4 cup I think very small. The lobby does have an excellent coffee machine. It was very ood tasting. Breakfast was ok.. bagels were good three different kinds..came with butter, creamcheese and a toaster. Eggs were thawed out frozen eggs but had no taste, sausage links were good but greasy. Waffle maker worked well and tge waffles were good. Syrup was name brand and very good. There was also yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bananas, apples, and danishes and muffins by coffee machine. Equipment and area clean and well stocked. There is a juice machine wbich was maintained well. There is a washer and dryer if you need it. Vending machines with pop, snacks,, and some microwave dinners.

Our stay was great as we were only a 10 min drive to where we our gathering was, we just wish there would have been an indoor pool.

Very run down, dated and feels unsafe except it’s in the middle of a rural area. Pool is filled in. Almost looked closed down when I pulled up.

This hotel was horrible! Do not stay here! I would give 0 stars if it allowed me to do that. Dirty and disgusting!

Staff was fantastic. When I arrived, the young lady told me I would probably like the second floor better because it’s more quiet. She was correct. The whole staff was very polite. The room was spotless clean and the air smelled good. Hotel is located down the street from some excellent Italian restaurants in downtown Richmond, Illinois just a very nice day. In fact, it was so nice. I stayed an extra day.

Filthy, room smelled terrible of smoke, black hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub, dried skin flakes on the lamp, stains all over the sheets , outlets didn’t work , mold in the shower knob. We paid $180 and would have had a better experience at the local campground 👎😩.

The carpet and floors were very very dirty. You had to wear shoes,if you wore socks the were discussing!!!

The hotel is extremely run down. Bed was creeky and the bathroom was very dark. The tub actually gelt like you were going to fall through. No closet and tiny television

For an overnight stay near Lake Geneva, the Baymont is a decent place to stay. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. shower worked and had decent water pressure. Room was a little beat up and could use some minor repairs.

Room lighting sucks! Can't see a thing. Inadequate number of accessible power outlets for chargers & laptops.

It was fine for what it is. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Tiny tv with tape on the base, so we were careful with turning it. Friendly check-in, but i had to complete documents, id and credit card i already provided during the online check in process. Close to a few places to eat, but on a VERY busy road!!! Very good coffee at the breakfast area in the lobby. I didnt eat anything, though so cant comment. It was good, considering the price for a one night stay and looks like they are making improvements!

They didn’t have our reservation through you. They wanted me to call Expedia. I’d rather watch paint dry. I just paid them upfront and I saved $20. I have been with Expedia for over twenty years and this is the only bad experience I’ve had, but it was SO bad that I might not use Expedia again. What if they were booked? I would have not have a hotel room at all. No words. And the property is not good. The rooms smell horribly and it is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in since 2006. Sorry .

Check in was a bit confusing as I booked 1 king room through Expedia. I had the confirmation on my phone through the app and the hotel had me down for 2 rooms, 1-king and 1- handicap accessible. The app had the correct info of 1- king room. Rooms could use some updating. Personnel is friendly. Breakfast was a nice feature!

The front desk lady was super nice, really clean property and I had a great stay.

Booked this hotel 5 days in advance of a wedding. Got confirmation through Orbitz so I thought everything was good to go. Drove an hour to the hotel to be told they didn't have my booking and no available space. My wife was smart and dressed up at home. I was going to change at the hotel. Well, I ended up having to change into my suit in the venues bathroom. Spent an hour on the phone with Orbitz during the reception to solve. No local rooms were available nearby so we had to drive an extra 30 mins after the wedding to the nearest hotel. Needless to say, I couldn't drink much compared to the hotel within walking distance. Orbitz took care of me in the end, but this whole experience sucked.

A suite is a double room with one bed and a couch not very sweet. Staff is snarky when checked in he was too busy on his phone to take care me so he snapped at me. Breakfast was not anything edible.

I had forgot a box in my room when I checked out and they immediately called and I was able to retreive it . Thank you very much.

Great little place in a small town, my second time staying at this location. Had a little problem with my sink and they had it fixed by the time i got done eating the free breakfast. My place to stay from know on when i visit.

The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for the event that brought us to the area. There were trees to see out of our window which was peaceful and natural, no businesses or other industrial views or endless vehicles driving by.

Overall the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The facility overall could use updating but it was not unappealing. The shower on the other hand was a trickle, hard to rinse out hair. The breakfast was good but often not fully supplied or maintained. Staff was always helpful and friendly.

Great stay for our family. Bless the people around us who I’m sure had to hear our four little ones. Employees were all sweet & we enjoyed the long period for breakfast in the AM.

The hotel is an older hotel however, it was clean. My room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. I have stayed in the past and will stay there again.
