Oak House Hotel

Jättetrevligt hotell med egen pub. Superfint badrum. Ingen hiss. Trång trappa och trånga gångar att ta väskorna igenom, men det är inget fel, bara bra att veta.

Absolutely amazing, fantastic food and staff definitely recommend this place

Overnight stay while visiting family. Nicely appointed room in a lovely setting. We will retirn soln

Arrived 3.30. 'Manager' not present. Staff seemed unable to book guests in. Manager arrived after about 20 minutes, (no apology) Showed us to the room after telling us 'it would be hotter than hell in there'. Room was very nice, good size, nice bed, bathroom. Tea n coffee making bits & some water, mini fridge too. Breakfast is not included at this hotel. We tried it on our first morning. It was reasonably priced, but very mediocre. Just a basic Breakfast, bacon flavourless, sausage ok. Breakfast included toast, no toast arrived, but by that point we didn't want it. Bottomless tea & coffee with Bean to cup lavazza coffee machine. We did not eat at the pub in the evening (based on breakfast) Overall, room nice, it was warm (rm7) But we had a fan. Young staff behind bar, helpful but always seemed hassled, Manager not approachable, not interested. Dropped key in after we checked out, he barely managed to say 'ok'. No, have you had a nice stay etc.

The poor could not give a monkey welcome by the duty manager tainted what would have otherwise been an excellent stay
