The hotel is great. They have a spa, exercise room, a pool, breakfast, fridge, microwave, coffee/7, ear plugs, couch in room, giant bed, cool pictures on wall. But ..... Next to highway and train tracks. Trains every hour. All night! 8/10

I want to start off saying the staff was very friendly and at no fault. They were great. This location has a freeway on one side and active train tracks on the other. The hotel is in the middle. IT IS LOUD. The train roars by at night and early morning blaring its horn. If you are looking for a restful sleep- even ear plugs the hotel provided didn't help- this is not the place for you. The pool was very dirty. Lots of bugs and leaves. There were only two pool towels in the pool area cabinet and they were the size of hand towels. We ended up just using out bath towels. The pool is open until 10pm but there is no lighting around the pool. So it was very dark and dangerous without any lighting near the pool and spa. It would be easy to fall and get hurt. The room is as basic as it gets. Shudders on the windows, no black-out curtains to dull the sun or loud noise. The bed made a weird metal screeching sound when you turned on it and I was just sleeping there with my kid. It sounded like the bed frame or box spring was mounted on tin cans. It didn't smell or feel clean. I would never stay here again. I am extremely disappointed and DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Aside from the Marijuana smell outside this was a nice place to stay. I stayed four nights and the only problem I had was with the laundry room washer and the treadmill in the gym. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Great motel. Unfortunately, it is right on the railroad tracks with its noise, horns, and vibrations. Also, unfortunately, the bed (next to the bathroom wall in Room 225) popped and clacked when you shifted on it. AND also unfortunately, the air conditioner was as loud as the train's passing. Sad sigh. Clean; great breakfast; pool and jacuzzi; friendly and helpful staff.

Room was clean and AC was cold housekeeping did a great job. Breakfast was good. However for being a non smoking property there was a lot of smoking outside the unit which spilled into the room. Some exterior upkeep needed to be done. I wasn’t aware of it being next to the train but appreciated ear plugs available at the front desk.

Old hotel that has been kept in fairly good condition. Nice large sauna. Pool with a hot tub. Workout room was good. The free breakfast is scrambled eggs, sausage patties, make your own waffles, coffee and a few old bagels. Really bad. Drive 1/2 mile and go to Denny's. The property is right in the middle between hwy 99 and a busy railroad tracks. They hand out ear plugs. Our room had an old jetted (6 jets) tub that worked ok. The bed was fine and it had a small fridge that worked. For an old hotel it was good and clean. Just too noisy.

Staff wasn’t helpful nor could explain certain charges. The room was dirty the floors where not clean, the bedding and pillows smell bad and were dirty there was dirt on the bed upon arrival. Had a could smell to them as well.

The beds were awful. Linens we’re not clean ( hair in sheets) and we killed several earwigs in the bathroom. When we shared about the bugs and beds when checking out, we ended up with an additional 42 dollar charge for what they claim was damaged linen ( not true) , on top of not getting my original deposit back! Worst place I have ever stayed at!

I made a reservation for a hotel for three nights. The Expedia listing as well as signs all over the facility indicated that the facility was non-smoking. I arrived at the hotel and checked. I went to the room and it wreaked of marijuana smoke which affected my asthma. I returned to the front desk and was assigned a new room and walked into the room. The room smelled worse of marijuana smoke and I was unable to breathe. I spent 30 minutes with the door open, AC blasting and window open attempting to air out the room, trying to make the reservation work. After that, I left to pick up dinner. Walking out to my car I saw two different individuals smoking outside of rooms. Upon returning from dinner, the smell had not dissipated. I immediately packed up all of my stuff walking to the front desk where I explained the situation. I checked out. Did not get a full refund. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else!

I was substantially shocked at the condition on this hotel. Mold in the bathrooms. The rooms smelled like marajuanna and old alcoholic vomit. The floors were sticky like d with dirty mop water.

The reality is not like the pictures posted. The decor was straight out of 1970. I did not see any mushrooms under the bed so that's good. The outside door had it's tell tale dents from being kicked on and the draft blowing through the closed door was noticeable. The view of the railroad and industrial park across the street was interesting. However, the overall impression was straight out of a Hitchcock movie set. No thanks.

The couple next door to our room had a domestic violence incident. My boyfriend is a professional skateboarder and he hardly slept due to the altercation. The hope run wasn’t hot and the jets barely worked

Everything was excellent. Except the bed in the room where we stayed was bad. The sheets were dirty and the bed was loose made squeaky noise. Ashley at the he front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable very polite.

Simple room with king bed and jetted tub. The room was clean but comfort was lacking due to the bed being extremely hard/firm and having no blanket. The bed had no blanket just a couple of sheets. The tub Jett’s were so so. Real basic room for an overnight.

The shower rod was pulled down a bit. Plus the chrome cover in the tub was off in my two bedroom. One of the beds was so nosey and both where hard as a rock. I paid though you Expedia once, then paid again a deposit. Close to what I paid you. Never again will I stay at Baymont in Salida CA. Bad choice.

Just the room an the grounds customer service very rude demaning an underminding customers oh an said couldnt have a late check out til 12:30 due to me waking up late cause the maides were getting off early. That was from Dianna the front desk not the maide service. An Dianna got off at 1pm. Never will i spend or let anyone i know spend money again at this astblishment. Thank you

Was greeted by “hey”. Lady was on the phone. Landline. The. She got busy with her cellphone for a little bit. She walked over and said hey. Very unprofessional. Very rude. Definitely wrong job for her. Maybe updating your tiktok while you dont have a guest is a good idea. Never again here.

We had a great experience from the moment we checked in. The young man I believe his name is John that checked us in was friendly and so helpful. We travel a lot for tournaments. There was a lot of us checking in and he made it easy. If we asked fur something he was quick to respond. We will definitely be staying here again.

From receiving the best freshly baked cookies from Tania, to the amazing work oz the maintenance man was with out key trouble, John handling my daughters birthday cake with so much care, and lastly to Diana for assisting me with the best customer service! If you are a deep sleeper, this is fine for a quick one night stay. But it's literally RIGHT next to the freeway and the noise is quite loud. As a light sleeper, I wouldn't stay again.

This hotel description said nothing in reference to it being about 100 ft from train tracks that had train’s constantly running all night. That was on top of the interstate and side streets that made every single vehicle noise unbearably to even attempt to get any sleep. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Instead of staying for 6 days, we checked out the very next morning after arriving around 10pm

My room overlooked hwy 99. It was loudest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I could hear the semi trucks even with the fan on high, earplugs and a pillow over my head.

Whenever I’m in the Modesto area I always stay at BbW in Salida. It’s clean, comfortable, convenient (Hwy 99 in both directions, Costco within walking distance, mall, Target, Walmart just minutes away, multiple food and dessert options nearby), and friendly service. The only drawback is it sits between active train tracks and a busy freeway. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be the place, although the rooms are well insulated from the noise.

It was a nice stay. Wish I had known about the train. That was startling every three hours when it went by. In the middle of the night too. But it was fine otherwise. Breakfast was small. Wish there was yogurt or something more. Seemed like it was missing stuff. It was a nice stay though. The rooms were nice. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Staff was really sweet and friendly during breakfast and check in. Glad we stayed there. 30 minutes from oakdale which was perfect. Shopping and lots of food options around.

Rooms were clean and had good amenities. Good dining area, decent breakfast. Staff was friendly. Bed was too firm for me personally. I would avoid rooms on the second floor that face South, because the hotel is very close to the freeway and Train. If you are not a heavy sleeper, you will not sleep well in those rooms.
