Hotel should advise that entrance to carpark is only suitale for small cars - tried to get my car in and was too wide - this isnt a large 4x4 either - wasnt willing to park some distance away so did not complete my stay - ruined holiday all for a piece of useful information

We stayed in the Executive Double which was huge. Tea and coffee making facilities in the main area and shampoo, body wash and towels provided in the large bathroom. The breakfasts were the best we have had in a long time. The only drawback was the very narrow passageway into the car park, but we mastered it after a few attempts.

Excellent centre of town hotel, clean friendly staff, bedrooms clean fresh and nice shower, excellent cooked breakfast cooked fresh, plenty of evening meal options, all Walking distance, only downside is the narrow car park access, but there are plenty of town centre car parks within easy walkable distance,

Really friendly staff- made us feel very welcome. Clean modern rooms. Great breakfast. Safe parking with electric charging points if needed. Within easy walking distance of station and bus transport. Lovely shops and galleries on doorstep. Great place to stay

Large spacious room. Fan, hair dryer, iron, kettle and a fridge in the room. The beds were comfortable and lovely bedding. Big open shower with shower gel, shampoo and hand wash supplied. Breakfast is cooked to order plus all the usual fruit, cereal, pastries. The car park is a tight squeeze to get in, plenty of spaces. Great location in the centre of the town. Although we barely heard any noise from in our room. It was a lovely stay, we will definitely be back for our next stay in Carmarthen.

This is my second visit to The Spillman. My first visit was excellent as I was given a room in the main building. However this time we were given a room in an annex. Whilst it appeared clean there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and there was a musty smell in the room. Also just to make others aware the carpark has a very tight opening and because of the bollards on the pavement adjacent to the opening its very difficult to negotiate with a SuV and larger. Apart from that the staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

Wonderful room with an excellent breakfast. Really narrow entrance to the car park which needs careful negotiation to access, I scraped my car the first visit as I hadn’t read their email explaining how to get in, this was my second visit & all was fine.

Of the many hotels and self catering accommodation I've stayed in for work in Carmarthen, this hotel is by far the best. My room was comfortable, clean, quiet and well equipped, including a fridge. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers excellent value and St Peter's car park provides close parking for anyone who doesn't dare try the tight parking on site!

Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended. We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was scrummy. Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊

Very conveniently located right in the middle of town. Most of the rooms overlook an interior courtyard, making it a very quiet location. My room (15) was newly decorated, very clean and very large. Breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely stay here again.

Pros : The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Cons : Parking can be very tricky like they have mentioned in their site. Very narrow space to negotiate, For a big spacious room the heating wasn't enough and took a long time to warm up.

We absolutely loved the hotel and thought the staff fantastic, the only very small thing was the very thin curtains - they could do with blackout ones as rooms are very light and it was hard to sleep

I had a great one night stay, I was welcomed to my room parking sorted out in a secure car park and given advice on the best places to eat. The room was great, modern nice shower/bath everything spotless. I had a great night sleep on a comfortable bed. I don't eat breakfast so I couldn't say personally but it looked and smelt great. I will use this hotel again without any hesitation.

A warm and professional wlecome and room changed as the receptionist saw my wife walks with sticks. A ground-floor room was provided. The room was excellent. Large, warm and very clean with bathroom with walk-in shower. The bar area is welcoming and breakfast was superb. Freshly cooked plated hot breakfast with juices, coffee and tea freely available not forgetting the cereals and breads. Good parking on internal courtyard. Can not speeak too highly about the hotel and staff.

Cannot fault this hotel. I've stayed here multiple times for work and would never stay elsewhere. A great price for really generous sized clean rooms with a fridge, smart TV, good tea and coffee selection and a great breakfast with friendly and welcoming staff.

Brilliant hotel. Brilliant staff, nothing too much trouble. Room was modern in design and decoration. Bathroom was modern and spotless with a fab shower. The breakfast on offer was tremendous and the staff worked continuously and efficiently to keep everything fresh and plentiful. Would definitely stay again and again

Excellent hotel! Clean very comfortable rooms, charming with modern bathrooms, outstanding service! The outstanding Welsh staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful! Delicious made to order breakfast. Easy to walk all around Camarthen from the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely stay there again & recommend to others!

We had a wonderful stay in Carmarthen at this cute hotel in the center of town. Friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful too. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel! Clean very comfortable rooms, charming with modern bathrooms, outstanding service! The outstanding Welsh staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful! Delicious made to order breakfast. Easy to walk all around Camarthen from the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely stay there again & recommend to others!

The room was spacious and clean and central to Carmarthen so was now too far to walk anywhere. Lovely hotel and staff and the breakfast was delicious! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very big and nice room, with plenty of storage and heathing control. The cook to order breakfast is great, and staff super nice. Very centrally located. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here while I was on a course locally. Staff are super-friendly and very helpful. My room was clean, bright and airy. Breakfast was delicious, best poached eggs I’ve ever had, delicious bacon too. Will definitely be back.

Brilliant hotel. Brilliant staff, nothing too much trouble. Room was modern in design and decoration. Bathroom was modern and spotless with a fab shower. The breakfast on offer was tremendous and the staff worked continuously and efficiently to keep everything fresh and plentiful. Would definitely stay again and again

Fantastic stay. Clean well presented from walking into reception, and the room didnt disappoint. Spotless well equipped, comfortable 10/10 Staff were exceptional friendly and extremely welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Plentiful, choices of cereals,fruit, yogurts, juices, hot drinks etc . Breakfast cooked to order, and it was perfect. A great stay cannot fault anything. Will definitely return !!!

Hotel was great. However I went down for breakfast and no one was there to greet me and I didn’t know what I was doing so I didn’t have breakfast I went back to my room and had breakfast out. If I stay again I’ll ask during check in to find out. The hotel is great overall and fairly priced.

Exceptional Stay – Best in the Area! Our family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I cannot remember their names, but the receptionist and the staff member who helped us find parking were incredibly friendly and helpful.We have stayed at several other hotels in this same area, but the staff service and overall cleanliness here are far superior. We highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

What a lovely hotel and such friendly and helpful staff. A really great room with a great bathroom/shower. There were lots of small touches that made a difference. Having the fridge in the room was excellent, particularly with the really hot weather. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I am in the area. Also, made sure they accommodated me for breakfast as I am gluten and dairy intolerant. All round, a great experience.
